Need AT&T Connection Manager - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Well I guess I didn't use titanium backup correctly because I flashed my tab to a European firmware and now I'm without the connection manager.
I dont really care for bloatware, but I use the AT&T widget to purchase data and keep track of how much I've used.
Any help?

Just try NetCounter

I am in the same boat and would appreciate someone providing AT&T Connection Manager or Account Manager--I'm not sure which one is the app with a widget option that allows you to see data usage and purchase additional data.
Apps like NetCounter don't show actual usage aligned with the billing cycle. Nor can you purchase additional data from this type of app.

Just search for it on att website

I'm looking for the Android application that comes loaded on an AT&T Tab, not a web site. The package name is either com.m.att or com.smartcom.

Why wont you just rip it out from Rotohammer's stock AT&T ROM backup? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857608&highlight=I987UCJK1

I'm looking for this as well for a Euro Tab now in the US on a full-time basis.

Seems silly to download a 250mb rom when the app is probably 500k, no?

Pm me your email address and I will send it.

App for controlling data usage.

Hi there,
I'm looking for a specific app for my rooted 2.1 G1. I'm on a Vodafone pay as you go thing, and internet/data usage is pricy on this. Is there an app which stops ALL data usage/internet/GPS(Does GPS use data usage?)/etc unless connected to WiFi, in which case it'll allow all that?
Thanks in advance

Oh fantastic! I think that might be perfect
One question though, if the APN is off will I still be able to make/recieve calls and texts?
You can also use droidwall. Its really useful and free on market
APN OnOff is no longer free from what I can tell from the Market, but DroidWall looks ideal.
Thanks!

App to delete all data on phone if lost?

Hey guys, I was wondering if there was an app that would delete everything on my phone if it was lost or stolen. Or at least something to logout of all my account. My concerns are of someone having access to my email, ebay, amazon, etc. Thanks.
If you got/get the Verizon warranty plan it comes with some of the features you are looking for... although they could still just take the memory card out, but at least they can't just go into your logged in accounts.
Mobile Recovery is an application included with Total Equipment Coverage, at no additional cost (data charges may apply for the download and use of Mobile Recovery). Mobile Recovery allows you to:
Locate a lost device (location shown geographically on a map)
Sound a phone alarm to find a lost device
Remotely lock a device to secure your data
Remotely wipe a device’s contacts to protect your privacy

EDIT - Never mind, apparently the Thunderbolt is not supported yet. Sorry for the incorrect info. Slackers!

I use Lookout, the free version has the following features:
spyware and malware scan/protection
Locate device (uses the phones GPS
Scream (when you login on your PC this feature will sound off a very loud annoying siren from your phone)
Backup Device
The paid version $2.99 per month or 29.99 per year will allow you to lock the device or wipe it completely.
Here is the website if you want to look at it:

This is what I have on mine. Awesome app, you can locate via gps, make an alarm go off (great if you can't find your phone), lock your phone, wipe it.
Can I transfer seekdroid to future phones?

Lost My 3 Widget!

I wiped my phone, didn't backup anything and got Android Revolution HD
When I got my phone with 3 it had alot of extra useless apps/widgets but there was one that looked very useful!
I can't find it on the app store or anywhere when I Google but its a My 3 Widget.
It allows me to simply have a widget telling me my data usage and so on without having to get to it though the browser.
Does anyone have it???
Or even a backup of the default ROM from a DHD from 3?
Give Quota a go, its available for free from the market and comes with a small widget that shows call and data balances for most Aus providers including 3. Much better than 3's widget imo

I ended up getting the widget back. But it didn't want to work...
EDIT: I don't know if I even have a Username/password to access my stuff on the 3 website so I can't set my icon or whatever to the 3
EDIT: EDIT: Whats Wifi Limit? I assume Cellular Limit is my 'mobile internet' if Wifi Limit is ment to mean my home internet or whatever then I should disable it yeah?
EDIT: EDIT: EDIT: I'm using 3G watchdog. The one you told me is too complicated. This one has got all I need.

BLURR3D V1.7 PBX Question

I have been on the forum for about a month now (Just purchased the Droid Bionic as my first Android Device). I am not able to post this question in the actual BLURR3D V1.7 PBX thread.
My question: When I installed V1.5, there was not the same option for "Battery & data manager" as my stock bionic. I live and work in a strictly U.S. Cellular area. I need to have the data roaming allowed at all times (they have a contract with Verizon, so I never get charged extra). When I installed V1.5, I could not find the option for data roaming.
Were is this setting located at? Is it fixed in V1.7?
Sorry for posting this in the wrong spot.
I'm still using a stock/rooted/debloated rom and havent tried the above rom but i think i read that he removed it in the rom on purpose and included the .apk for it as a download link on the bottom of the original post.
if you are still new to android, the .apk is the application file, the easiest way to install it is download it, send it to your phone through gmail, and then there should be an install link next to the attachment in gmail on your phone. click it and you should be good to go. It might ask you to change the settings to allow unknown sources to install apps, make sure that is checked.
hope that helps
I have 1.7 on my Bionic and in Battery & Data Management/Data Delivery there are three options to be checked and one of them is Data Roaming (Connect to data services when roaming). Is that what you are looking for?

In 1.5 the Battery & Bata Management was removed. I suggest updating to 1.7
Thanks for the help!
Thanks for the help- I just installed V1.7 and everything seems to be working out great so far. Nice and streamlined so far.
Yes he definitely added it back in the 1.7 update.. Im digging his builds, They all run Super smooth

[Q] Can't seem to get internet on euro flashed Tab..?

Yep, I'm a newb.. but what's new? ;p
I will try to keep this as short and informative as possible so that I can get some of you to help this gal out- In need of pro advice and amateur instructions..! I know I know I am sure you all get sick of damn newbies cramping your sexy geeky style..
Anywhoozer,
I purchased an unlocked, rooted, and euro flashed 7 inch Galaxy Tab from Ebay
(Which is likely mistake #1!)
I was ultimately looking for a tab with internet and voice calls- the tab has the calling feature but no internet. Says I am connected to the EDGE network but cannot connect to market, login to email, set up accounts, etc. (Just an added note, I could care less about 3g/2g/10g/whatever! I just want internet, speed is nice but not necessary) So the major issue here is when attempting to use the browser, I am redirected to Tmobiles website.
Yes, I have googled "T-mobile redirect" but let's just save time and space and call me dumb
Moving on..
I contacted the seller, he said to download and install root explorer, I did, correctly, (thankful for kindergarten instructions found online) but it did not change anything.
Perhaps you could help me. Here is what I have collected while browsing relative issues via google..
Apparently I need a modem switcher? (How, what?)
Or do I need to change or "fake" the APN settings? (repeat)
Is my tmobile "phone" sim card (which includes a data plan) compatible?
blahblahblahblahblah.. and everything else you have heard before
P.S HELP?
