Android Lockscreen On Stock ROM? - Captivate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

just came across this thread and was wondering if we can have this for those who are still using stock ROMs? thanks in advance.

You can get that lockscreen on captivate, not sure if you can get a one click program for it though

can you tell me how? if we can get one click program for this, it'll be even better.

anyone???????

bum, bump,

You can always try it but I doubt it will work. Framework files can be rom dependent.
From original post:
"I have tested this on the 2 devices in my house. I can port this to other Galaxy S phones (if it doesn't already work.) Just contact me via PM and I'll need some files from you."
Might be better to do this, send the proper files and then wait for a response.

Have already sent pm. No reply yet.

[PROGRAM] AudioBoost compatibility

Hi there! Can someone please tell me if this app is compatible with the captivate? Also if it is useful with such device? I'm from Italy and have no way of testing it...

There is another audio fix called midget. Its on the market. When downloading, you allspice get a usage zip file that you flash. It seems to work well for me. Its also in the i9000 dev forum.

I believe the app is called MixGet
xxx.androidzoom.com/android_applications/multimedia/mixget-mixer-widget-with-alsa_jwzl.html

Just rooted, Now what?

This is the first time I have ever been near or used an Android phone. I got my i9000 a few days ago and have started messing about with widgets etc. I have been reading this forum for a few months prior to owning an Android phone as technology interests me. I was following a home screen thread and realized I had to root my Galaxy S to be able to take screenshots. Then I found the One Click Lag Fix app that was on the Android market. The lag was something that was really bothering me and now its running really smooth.
So now I have root what else should I do to my phone?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
A couple apps I use that need root access: mybackup pro and root explorer.
Have fun
I'll be sure to check them out. Anyone else?

This is what I thought too. Apart from backing up to the average user, there doesn't seem to be a lot to do!

Flash roms, overclock cpu, clear app caches. Modify system apps (eg make browser fullscreen).
Anything really.
Clocksync - if cell-network time sync sucks.
MarketAccess - if you can't purchase apps on market
Autokiller or Minfree manager - to keep memory tidy (less necessary on the most recent firmwares)
Screenshot - should be obvious.

EDIT: Sorry, this is not the root that requires a kernel swap. this one is just a pain in the a*#!
Give it a day or two, if the OCLF or Z4 don't show back up you could always try THIS
However, be advised - it does require a kernel swap.

Mod camera ?

IF you dont want to do that just flash sbrissen mods http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1030028 Im not sure if its in there so ask in the thread about it. I would def just say flash Com rom 1.3-2.1 and you would def be good to go.

I'll tinker with them later. Thanks for the help, dude!!
Says the same for me. Skype normal not mobile worked for me though. I tried an older version of skype mobile and it does the same. The first date was 4/30 and the second was 3/13 I think. Maybe it has to do with your current data plan?
I read this.
That is not correct actually - with Skye Mobile for Verizon you would be able to use skype over Verizon's network - I used it for over 1 yea without any issues. Until I got the thunderbolt. Skype needs to make that app compatible with the new phone. AND QUICKLY!!!!!!!!
Try searching. It's also in my Sig.
