So I installed Gingbread and restored all my apps. All of the sudden, I get a battery notification in the notification bar. Its not a full battery, or a low battery. Its the current percentage. It is listed under the header as an "Ongoing" notification. It has the percentage with the explanation "battery level changed."
I have tried wiping, restoring to stock, and going back to Gingerbread. It always returns. Any help would be appreciated, this is driving me crazy.
UPDATE
I installed the Talon kernel, after reboot the icon was gone for about 10 minutes, then came back.

What ROM are you running. I have been using gingerbread for months and have never seen this.
Does the time this started coincide with any apps you downloaded? What happens when you click on it in the notification tray?

When I bring down the notification bar it says: Ongoing - "battery level changed".
If i click on the notification I get sent to the android battery screen.
I am running the latest cm7 and didn't install any apps recently.

I was experiencing this annoying problem too. Finally, I tracked it down to being part of System Info Widget (version 2.2).
In the settings of the System Info Widget, choose "Display Options" and then set the "Battery Display" to "none"... All fixed!
I recently installed and rooted the ICS update for my Bionic and I think it's a huge improvement over 2.3.4, but I'm mildly annoyed by the "Verizon Wireless" branding on the lock screen and the notification pull-down. Is there a way to remove the tags?
Also while I'm asking, can I add a flashlight toggle on my lock screen without using Widgetlocker?

Does anyone know how to get settings Icon back in touchwiz? I've noticed after installing null rom, then accessing GearManager on phone, the Settings option will disappear. Its no where to be found, and the only way to access settings, is through null. Is there a way to get this Icon back in touchwiz??? I've only been able to get after restore.. But as soon as I go to sort my Touchwiz shorts cuts on GearManager, its gone again...
Hello, I want to remove the little quick settings bar on kitkat 4.4.2 (the one that shows up in the notification panel). I just want to get rid of it to make the notification panel more like jellybean and clean it up. Is there any module to do this or does anyone know a good way? Tjhanks

I'm tired of missing the space on keyboard because the phone thinks that I want to swipe up, I tried apps that disable the default action but this LG modified version show 2 icons and I can only disable search.
I don't want it to show up at all.
Google now is disabled btw
