From the ArchosFan forums, for the Archos 101 which has a 1024x600 screen much like ours on the G Tablet, the answer is apparently something like 1200x1024 (see this thread: http://forum.archosfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=42137). Not sure if those dimensions will work, but I'd give that a try as a starting point and see how it works with scrolling, in portrait and landscape mode, etc.

[Solved] Can someone edit this icon for me?

I have this icon I made in paint.
A .png icon that I used to replace the main widget icon for SMS Unread Count.
I don't know how to make the image all "background-less" you know?
I'll attach the icon. Can someone take away the black inside it, so it's only the white outlined icon that can be layered over any background.
I dunno how to explain that kind of image, but I think you know what I'm talking about.
Anyway, thanks.
how about I just make one for you,
what size does it need to be? (overall pixel dimensions)

Thanks. That one is 58 x 46.
I'd like it a little bigger. Let's try 62 x 50.
lets try 288x184.
Here is the download link.

That's great looking. I like the rounded edges.
But on my lockscreen, it's a taaaad too big.
Let's try 200 x w/e

No, the image file I use replacement on, is in the "drawable-hdpi" folder.
Those images are 128 x something.

Its actually very simple, just watch a couple of video tutorials on using Shapes with photoshop. try tutvid.com or something like that.
did that size work out for you.. if not you can always just resize that image in photoshop or gimp, ect....

Question about rom: Dell Streak 2.2!!! THIS IS NOT MINE

Heyy Guys, I stumbled upon this rom, and someone claims that it works for Milestone, if you read further on.
Please confirm - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831144
Confirmed working on desire hd .25 rom. Very nice rom.
Download file, and simply install the dell launcher first, then install other widgets.
Yes, it works well. It actually works without changing the LCD Density setting as well, so you won't have to squint like mad.
That said, there's no advantage to using Dell's work here other than using their heavyweight widgets.
PS. This is not a rom, but a set of APKs.

Sorry about that, amateur over here... Also, the landscape doesn't work perfectly, or I guess is too small... Is there any fix for this?

Kay, thanks I'll post a screenshot soon but the essential problem is that it looks too small I guess. Basically, the bottom app drawer and the navigation buttons beside them take too much room. I guess it isnt optimized for our milestones Can someone confirm if there is another way to make the landscape look bigger and better?

Wallpaper picture

Didn't know where to put this but anyone know where I can get a wallpaper sized version of this photo:
http://news.uk.msn.com/photos/week-in-pictures/photos.aspx?cp-documentid=157028871&page=11
I've been looking everywhere but can't find it
Much appreciated.
Sick Pic I couldn't find it in a Google search, How 'bout leaving a comment and asking?
Well, here is a little bigger picture: http://msnbcmedia1.msn.com/j/MSNBC/...2-libya-week8/ss-110413-libya-01.grid-9x2.jpg
But what do you mean by ''wallpaper picture''? Bigger resoultion? 16:9?

Larger resolution I guess, because unless your monitor is 728 x 483 or even close to that the picture is going to be stretched and blured, Might be alright for a phone's resolution but not PC
I think if the picture was streched, it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe just me.

Anything a bit bigger really, around 1024x768. My screen resolution is rather large but that sort of size should be ok when stretched.
Good luck getting it. Your best bet is to contact either AP or the author of the photo, and I don't think they would let it go too easily. lol
Lol, worth a shot. I've emailed the author and will get back to you.
In the meantime, if anyone's found a bigger one, you know where I'll be

no problem. all i did was change the orientation of the animation so it was horizontal, then adjusted the height/width ratio to fit the screen. problem was the animation was designed for a phone screen so it loses some resolution when it gets resized to 1280 x 800.

does anyone else have this?
there should not be one, all the image files are 960 x 600 and resized to 1280 x 800 through the desc.txt file. im not seeing it on my xoom when i reboot.
I am thinking he is confusing your version with the first one. Your version is fine for me.

Custom Boot Animations!

Hi All
AndrMatr here.
This thread is here for all of those who want the perfect boot animation for their device but don't have time to find it or make it themselves. I am 'opening up shop' for the first time and am willing to take requests for personal boot animations.
The best part is: It's FREE!
So, if you want a highly personalized boot animation, post it here and I will see what I can do with the tools that I have.
Post your resolution as well!
PM me about it!

Hello. I will take you up on your offer... I just got my Nexus 6 a few days ago and would to see a different boot animation. I have yet to see a custom Nexus 6 animation. I'm thinking of a black background with "Nexus 6" or "Motorola Nexus 6". I'll leave the rest up to you. The screen resolution is 2,560 by 1,440. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. If you have any questions, let me know.
I've been trying to make one from this gif at 1440x2560 (resizing the original gif to 1200px and padding the rest) but haven't had any luck getting it to work (posted about it here).

I'm trying to upload it to XDA and it keeps breaking XDA XD so I'll just pm it to you or whatever I'll get it to you, let me know how good it is or if you need the framerate adjusted
I hope you have 45 MB in your system partition

I can opt for a smaller resolution but with PNG the file size is going to be huge

I have plenty of room, but the animation doesn't display. I see the LG logo until my launcher loads; it's the same problem I have when trying to create it myself (I've made several attempts).

Can you create a boot animation of One Piece? The short clip played before and after the break?
Thanks in advance. BTW resolution is 854*480.

Oh. I don't watch anime, I have college and work, and on top of that I make custom boot animations. Try to think of something else that'll be a little easier, like a simple logo that I can make explode and rebuild itself or a SMALL gif you like. I can make any logo cycle its colors through the rainbow... I made the UPS logo spin around...
Try this one.

No prob. How about creating an animation in which a bubble explodes and "Android" comes out of the explosion? Make it many bubbles floating around, and just before the boot happens let the text come out of the explosion. Get me?
