[Q] [REQUEST] libaudioflinger.so - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hopefully not too much trouble for someone with root explorer. I have a t-mobile galaxy tab and attempted to install DSP Manager but the audioflinger file is giving probs and now I have no sound. Anyone have the original libaudioflinger.so file they can share? Not sure if its has to be brand specific.
This experience will teach me to backup lol.

Here is mine
But this is from Generic JM6 Euro Firmware, posted here:

Hope this helps you.
Good Luck

You are a sweet golden god.
The thing kept vibrating every 5 secs after reboots and it was driving me crazy! Things this big that vibrate should only be used to please women.
BTW anyone interested DSP manager requires a bit of a work around for galaxy tab.

[AUDIO] Shutdown Sound

Just to entertain myself I converted this to .ogg and set it (using SGS Tools) as the shutdown sound on my Captivate (currently running cognition).
I figure someone else might get a giggle using it too.
Good work but no thanks.
good job. i like it. i put it on my girlfriends phone when she wasn't looking and now she thinks she's going nuts. that makes this even better for me.

[SOLVED] Black GTALK

Hello everybody ...
Cud someone please give me a stepwise breakdown on if/how I could get gtalk to have a black theme
(or give me a link to a black gtalk apk that I could use to replace the stock one ) ?
I did search before posting this thread.. and found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=821214
but that OP's just stating tht the gtalk app inside another ROM is black in color.
I'm sure this has been asked / done before, and if it has, please don't hammer me...
It's just that I am new to android, and some of the google results i got for 'black gtalk app' said some scary sounding things like deodexed (?)
And - I haven't rooted my Nexus S yet (yes, i know.. i'm a bit scared still.. )
Help please?
All you had to do is go to the second page.
On the second page of that thread posted by Jack_R1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=821214&page=2
(Unsure if it works on Gingerbread)
And you'll most likely need Root for this to work since google talk is a .apk within /system/app/
/system/app/ cannot be modified unless you're rooted.
Rooting is relatively simple on Nexus S, don't be scared

Since I will probably have to root my phone for this ... i'll wait to get one of my friends with more divine android skills to sit with me thru it
(don't ask -- years of "trying" to jailbreak iPhones has built up this weird phobia of hacking, and has put fears like: "oh noes! what if it goes wrong?" in my head)
I'll come around though, i hope

Haha okay. But if you don't want to wait for your "friend" to do it for you, here's a guide here to get you started towards rooting.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895545
It's relatively simple
Yes- thanx again! I've read through those a few times and all the positive responses from 'first timers' have been tempting me a lot.
I'm actually waiting for the phone to launch officially in Dubai (rumored to happen in the week after next), and then I think I'll become a bit more brave to fiddle with it..
but if i muster enough courage before that, I'll definitely follow that guide ..
(psst: please be on standby with some emergency XDA paramedics, in case you hear me yelping, after a not so successful rooting attempt )

You have any idea if it's going to be a I9020 or I9023? There's reports of I9023 rooting of not completely working. Something about cache partition, I'm sure it'll get fixed.

I'm inclined to think it'll be the Super Clear LCD one .. because the Dubai/UAE market seems to be like a Singapore-market follower .. and the SLCD version has just been announced there..
The SAMOLED is partly why I'm happy that I went through some bit of trouble (and a LOT of worrying) to get my NexS delivered safely from Austin..
But boy am I in love with it!
I dont think anyone's been able to pry it out of my hands since it landed (touchwood)
And, like you said... I'm sure the i9023 would get rooted soon enough by folks here
[maybe Google could just officially link to the XDA as their main 'user support forum' .. ]
I was able to push the gtalk and the google voice to the Nexus S. I have it installed on the nightly cm7 #26. The google voice is working but the gtalk is failing to connect to the server.
i was able to install but it hangs on a black screen where my contacts should be but nothing displays. theres also the refresh circle in the top right that keeps going. then if i selct anything via menu button push and go back it force closes on me.
Can someone tell me why is it marked as SOLVED when it does not work on the nexus S? I want this feature badly, if anyone has any idea pls share.

I totally agree but there is a solution now for sure. DARKGINGER NEW 4/5/11 DarkGapps4511.zip this is just gapps for the people not using the nightlies. These work on any HDPI phone running Gingerbread! THIS HAS WORKING DARK GTALK.

[Q] FroyobyLaszlo ROM

Hi All. Long time follower on XDA for the G1 (9 months after the G1 debut) but first time posting. I just recently did the 2708+hboot hack for the 14mb to flash and test the lastest ROMs. I've tried everything that is currently available for download on XDA development and found that Laszlo 5.2 to be the smoothest and fastest (just as fast as Super CSDI).
I read through the entire post to see if anyone has experienced the same thing as I did, but no one really did. This ROM is amazing and everything is working great, but one thing. My question is--The Audible selection and screen lock sound do not work. One person ask about the screen lock sound not working, but no one answered. Is anyone else getting this problem besides me and is there a fix. I flash it several times and on 3 different G1s and get the same results. Maybe the download of the ROM I'm flashing is slightly corrupt. Any thoughts??? Thanks everyone for all your help through these years keeping the G1 alive and still amazing.

im not using that rom at the moment but as far as i know the sounds were working.. is he using a kernel with it? maybe its messing with it..
Don't know what you mean by "Audible selection", but I would guess for the lock/unlock sound you need to install the audio from addons (since it contains the file). Type "addons" in terminal and follow the on-screen prompts.
The Audible selection and screen lock sound
what is this?

Hi Adam, your the Man!
Thank you so much. Your suggestion fixed it. I was playing with Super Aosp 6.0 when you made the suggestion and I was very hesitant to flash again to find out that it might do nothing. But the speed of Laszlo was just to good to not find out, so I did and I'm glad I did.
I'm surprised that hardly anyone knew what I was talking about. So to clarify, if you go into Setting>Sound and then scoll down a bit you will see Audible selection and Screen lock sound options. The Audible selection is when it makes a 'Click' type sound when you select something. That extra audible feedback is very helpful.
I was going to just put up with Laszlo 5.2 even without sound if I had too, but I'm glad I don't.
Now I can finally stay with this for awhile to see if it is stable as well as fast.
Thanks again.
Rick

[P1010] Total noob successfully roots P1010

Yes, it's true. Tech savvy but appropriately cautious non-professional computer guy actually carefully read the forums for a month and a half, downloaded the right stuff, re-read the caveats, and then rooted his P1010. (with SuperOneClick, thank you shortfuse). I am right now staring at a black console window with the adb innards of the P1010 staring me in the face (I am as always extremely humble and not a little afraid of the power available to me in my fingers right now).
So, a huge thank you to all you xda-wizards who make all of this possible. I will continue to read, and learn from you. For all of us wizard-wanabees: take your time, read carefully, ask questions (smart questions are better than dumb questions), then check your gut, it will tell you when it's time to do the deed.
I dont have your model tab, just wanted to say nicely done. Kudos to you for reading the forums, and making sense of it all.

well its great we can root the p1010 but until Spacemoose1 does the Honey port hopefully in a few weeks we can do not much else >:¬{ overclock the device and a few others but thats about it. But well done, I know at the start I fell foul of not reading the threads (but sometimes the trolls just get out in force and begin to flame and ruin some of them a bit but hey they are everywhere >:¬} )

Still learning....
I have just started reading all that I can about rooting my P1010... it is a whole different language - Thanks for your post - Inspired and motivated to learn how to root my tab!!
I succefully rooted by P1010, using z4root (permanent).
No problem found (except that I installed One Click Lag Fix with the temporary root and the system restated in a infinite loop, solved by a wipe from recovery mode).
Now with OCLF the Quadrant standard reached 1760+, from 800 or less.
NOW I am happy with my P1010 - before I was thinking about selling it...

Man, do you can change the font? from the config / screen?
Yes, we can!
The first time the system had a reboot - one of many bugs of this firmware, I think - the second time it has been changed without a reboot.
But it works.
I also successfully rooted- now we just need to manage to lure some devs over to actually get gingerbread on this thing. xD

[Q] Sense rom with Noise cancelation?

Hi there!
I'm trying some sense roms on my nexus one, and I really like them, but I'm having the same problem with all the roms, the noise cancelation is not working. When I call someone they can hear me properly, they say that I sound like underwater or using the hands free.
Someone has the same problem? Any rom that fixes this?
Thanks in advance (and sorry for my English )
i run a runnyrom sense 3.5 all that you ask is in this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580873
In fact I readed the full post yesterday and I saw some people talking about noises during calls, I tried to ask there but I am not allowed to write in development forums. I really want to install that rom but didn't know if it will solve my problem.
So calls are working well? The people that you call don't say that they can barely hear you?
call works perfect for me i don't know whats up with everyone else tho ... i get full bars where i live so maybe that helps to ... why not install n give it a day if u like keep if not move on ..... i'm really in love with that rom but soon will move onto a Amaze 4G cause it;s my 420th b-day baby Woohooo sorry of topic but IM EXCITED
Never found that noise issue yet. Running Runny rom for one day, have some calls and everything's fine. Other people might have different experience, DK.

@ MoeNeXus wow bro look at our status hahahaha SAME n hell ya runny rom FTW witches
ok maybe a yr apart lol im sleepy n well seeing things now smh
That's great! Can't wait to try it when I back home from college.
BTW, people in the Runny post is saying that A2SD is corrupted and needs to be flashed. Downloading this one and flashing is enough? Darktremor Apps2SD 2.7.5.3 Beta 04 . Works fine even for being beta?
And congratulations for your new phone! I think it doesn't exists in Europe. We are not getting lots of cool phones here. At least the Motorola RAZR MAXX is arriving next month, I am saving money for getting it in summer, that battery seems to solve the unique problem that I find in smartphones.
Thanks for the help!

Afaik, there are two built-in a2sd scripts in Runny you can choose: a2sdx by amarulz and generic a2sd by DT. No need to flash DT script anymore. Last version DT's pretty stable even it's beta.

yup his best bet is to go with generic a2sd cause other one will make u lag if u twaek the hell out the rom
finally I had to flash the a2sd because it was stucked in the boot X.

- Where is Facebook for HTC Sense? I really like how it syncs the contacts.
- You can enter in facebook via web? It always says that I have the cookies disabled, and that is not correct, in fact it is the only web that I can't log in, and I need it to connect with fb some apps.
- I installed the sense 4.0 theme, but I can't see the new clock, how I apply that theme? And other problem here, I can't see the previews in the themes, you have the same problem?
for facebook: go to settings>accounts & sync
for sense 4 clock i cant find it either so i just install the sense4 skin manually and it should be just in personalize>display>skins
Hate to bust the bubble but I have the noise issue and no solution yet--I am not a beginner and prep properly
underwater sound on BT and very high level audio to listener

Well I saw that there is not Sense sync for FB in Sense 3.5, just the facebook app, so I had to install another app that syncs the pics, because with the facebook app you can't see your friend's pics in apps like whatsapp, viber, etc.
And I will look for the sense skin, I didn't know that it wasn't working by default, thanks

Finally! I thought that it was a problem with my phone. You only have this noise issue with BT? I have that problem calling as usual with the phone, without any handsfree. This is working for you? I tried with and without XLOUD, with and without BeatsAudio and the same in all cases.
I also had to uninstall the DSP Manager because it force closes always that I tried to call.
I will ask for that too when I can write in the rom post, I don't have enough messages yet.
Bad both ways--sorry for not explaining well
NO BT equals very loud to listener
BT equals underwater and/or reverb type feedback, maybe echo
both are not good enough for me to use rom as I use it for business also
too bad--love the rom--
Ok, so same here.
My friends says that I sound like using a walkie-talkie and they have a lot of echo. If no solution is given I will have to move to another rom too. I had important calls that I had to reject and call back with other phone just because of this.
Thanks for your reply. What I can't understand is why other people don't have this problem... or maybe they don't know that their sound is so annoying.
it is an enigma with rom flashing
some can have issues and 99% don't or vice versa
you do all you can to prep correctly to flash and the chips fall where they fall
a lot of time bootloop issues can be too many bad blocks on nand--not that that is a problem most of the time--but, can be. not up on that stuff anyway--
