This started as a personal project to get my phone looking like the latest version of Google's OS as I knew it was a slim chace we would get the real thing, and because I wanted to learn a little more about how Android works. There was quite a lot of people showing interest in it, so I decided to post my work for everyone to use on thier Hero's. It has now transformed into somthing alot bigger than I ever expected. There is a lot of community work included in this theme, and I want to say thanks to a few people for thier contributions in either content or testing:

Installation steps:
Step 1: Download all four zip files, and put 'GingerFroyo-v2.2-signed' and your choice of keyboard on the root of your SDCard.
Step 2: Reboot to recovery and flash both updates (order doesn't matter)
Step 3: Boot up your phone and apply the XML file via "Settings > Cyanogen / Villain Settings > User Interface > Tweaks Extras > Select a theme > Gingerbread"
Step 4: Extract the files from 'GingerFroyo-Additional-Files' for dock icons and wallpaper to complete the look!

Nice work. I feel bad now that Froyd 1.7 is out Shouldn't be too big a change, but the apks have been updated.
Should be a piece of cake tbh, i will get a 1.7 version up first thing tomorrow. I am looking into making the whole thing flashable too

If you read the first post l0st.prophet says that this is a known bug and that he's working on it.
Also l0st.prophet can we have a version for floyo 1.1.9 (i think that's the current version) please.

Use theme porter and just port this framework to original Floyo... I have a floyo and it worked well...

Hey dude, I just made a metamorph for the Hero with these things resized (I used the HDPI versions in the SDK as source).

Ps. I haven't figured out the whole menu text colour thing either (prolly one of the xmls in drawable), so I kept the original menu_background.
Exactly what i was gonna do tomorrow! Looks like you beat md to it. If i work out how to change the text in the menu and the pulldown notification i'll let you know as your metamorph is alot.more flexible then my method. Feel free to us the bits for LP and keyboard in your post, if yours works on Froyd i will close my post and point it to yours, no sense in maintaing two versions!

Yeah in the excitement i over looked the info and drived in, altho i was still under control to remember to nandroid, also pleased to hear that it will be ported to other roms once its cleaned up a little

This is a patch that can be apllied over 1.6 and will give you sbrissen's and/or TSM's latest 6 lock mod themed accordingly.

All lockscreens have been fully themed to match and have undergone some layout modifications. The font color scheme has been slightly altered and increased(system wide). All images were brought current to match Jumba's 2.5 version.

This is a universal neongt port for both eb01 and dl30. This is built off of all the eb01 files. I have tested this on dl30 and eb01 but your mileage may vary.
This does not modify any mods to your lockscreen, power menu or any other mods you may have, as this includes no jar's. I also forgot about calculator but I will get.
If you are not getting the transparency working, please re-apply the wallpaper of your choice and it should stick.

First! I have to say I'm excited. I've been refreshing all morning waiting for it.
That's funny! I hope it satisfies and again I appreciate the feedback. So if there is some things that need dialed in, just point em out. I know of a few icons that need re-worked and I would like to come up with a better icon for the data on and off. So if anyone has some thoughts or ideas, I'm always open game.

You should be able to use this with any rom that is DL30 based. So yes, if Blackhole's current is DL30 your fine.

I can confirm this theme works beautifully on Blackhole 4.01. I've since switched to Super Clean, but it was running fine on Blackhole.
So far everything works great. About to upgrade to 1.0 I did however have to fiddle around for a bit to get the newest swype back on my phone. But I'm still quite new so I'm still memorizing those processes =D

Requirements:

IMPORTANT: Won't flash over anything unless I say otherwise. For a fresh install you must be using the correct CWM for your screen type (3.0.0.7 for Amoled or 3.0.0.8 for SLCD ) with ROM Manager or alternatively full wipe in recovery, then install/choose zip from SD Card
RULE OF THUMB: If you choose to flash over without a wipe and have lags, FC's, things missing, or things just don't work right then flash again with a complete wipe
Random Thoughts:
If you are using Google restore for a large amount of apps then expect some lag in the early minutes or hour or so after the install.
If you are experiencing a lot of lag after a fresh install check to see if it is Google restore. Most people don't even notice the option is on when signing into the market.
If you are using any means to restore and that restore is from another ROM suspect what was installed if you are having problems with this ROM

Try different radios to see which one gives you the best network speed and overall functionality. For me it is the 11.19 radio for my area.

Helpful hints on battery life:
Look in Settings > Accounts & Sync and make sure you are not syncing anything you don't care about like news and stocks, etc. Leave them to update when opened. Same with E-Mail.
Go into the people/contacts and make sure you are only syncing contacts you need. For example I use Outlook and turned off Google and phone.
Turn off WiFi when you are not in range or need it. I boosted the search frequency time but it still helps to not have it searching at all
Adjust screen brightness to say 50% then put it on auto.
In Settings > Location turn off GPS and Phone Finder. That assumes you don't care about Phone Finder.
In Settings > Privacy turn off automatic backups if you don't use them
In Settings > Applications > Manage Applications uninstall ES File Explorer and HTC_IME mod (My black keyboard) if you don't use them. EFS runs in the background all the time.
Look in Settings > Applications and see if you have any apps that run all the time that you don't really use and uninstall them.
If I think of more I will add them.
Most of these use battery but also use RAM so you can save on both.

i expected this rom to be laggy like the other 2.1/3.0 hybrids. boy was i wrong! GREAT ****ING JOB! so smooth. very suprised since its nearly 300megs.
hmmm restarted phone and now lockscreen wont come up. this one take a while too like all the others?

I may later on, for now I'm keeping it as it is from the fruit cake except for the noted changes in the log. I haven't swapped any apps yet, including gallery. But 1080p is enabled non-the-less.

Boot animation is a bit squished and pushed to the right.
If you want, I can give you one I was toying with. It's scaled properly, but of center as well.
The notification shade is missing about 40% of the handle (on the right)
Keyboard is half cut-off. (Half of the row with shift and bacspace and below is missing)
Notification power widget doesn't work.
Play Store is included even without flashing GApps, that causes it to crash when you open it, because it's missing some Google framework files you get when you flash GApps.

Hey thanks for the great rom. Instead of Apex launcher you can download Holo Launcher. Its an ICS launcher but its a bit faster. Tip for holo launcher. If you set its drawer transparency to 50% it renders less graphics and becomes even faster.

It's as fast as cm9, not much difference
Having some odd problems with the bootanimation that I never noticed.
It seems to freeze at a certain frame.
I think it's not going past part0 into part1, but I just can't figure out why.

For the Power Widget, try to use it like the Ligux way..
Tap on the clock in the status bar to access them..
It won be visible in the notification pull as in other ROMS
Yeah, noticed that later on.
There is one more bug I noticed.
The "Clear all notifications" button overlaps the carrier name(or No service in my case) in the notification shade.

here's another inverted theme for Nexus 6. I call it Black5. It's now tested on CleanROM-1.2.5 - CleanROM-1.4.0 and Stock-Root-LRX22C-5.0.1-Unencrypted-DeOdex-v2.
Basic idea is to have backgrounds etc in black with white and grey text. Blue highlights and accents here and there.
Work in progress and bugs, white text on white, still there but lets see. Please report your findings an also solutions here.

- boot into recovery
- backup your existing system
- wipe cache/Dalvik cache
- flash the downloaded theme package
- reboot
- works perfectly here after dozens of tests on clean ROM install and reflashes after that

- I accidentially released a theme with Settings.apk from the Nexus 5 CatalysmCM. Well, that happened and can't really pull it back but apologise and give all credit to the DEV.

Great theme, however the battery icon is not themed properly, not showing the battery level, just stays solid white, anyone else?
Can't seem to get this to work on stock LRX22C 5.0.1 rooted. Every google app force closes and my nexus reboots. Any suggestions?

Go to Settings > Cataclysum > Battery Style > Battery With text.

@OP, you should tell people on what base you did your beautifull theme , it would avoid people having problem with it

Yes, you're absolutely right. I used the stock rom "Stock-Root-LRX22C-5.0.1-Unencrypted.zip" found from the forums here.

All the above works fine here with "Stock-Root-LRX22C-5.0.1-Unencrypted.zip" and "CleanROm-1.1.zip" found from the forums here.
Might be worth cleaning Dalvik Cache and Cache in the recovery.
