[Dec 21][APP]PS3DJB v2.5.1 Supports Eng, Ger, Nor, Esp & Fr - HD2 Android Themes and Apps

Hello everyone,
Here is my app i have been working on. It will install all files to your sd card needed to jailbreak and downgrade your ps3 with your HD2 Only. Now i have some time think this link is long overdue to be posted. Where this app originated from. Again thank you to all the other devs out there for there hard work that has now become a all in one solution.
What the app does:
This app will allow you to downgrade your firmware to any firmware you want. (PS3 Slim's cannot go as far back as Fat Consoles.) The downgrade only works with FW's up to 3.50. (If you have FW3.55 you are out of luck for now. Unfortunately there is no solution on the market nor in the community for that FW version.) This app will also allow you to patch your android build with all the files needed to jailbreak your ps3.(this will be changed real soon.) It also includes many payloads so u can use the one that best matches your needs.
Other Languages:
German version Located here I have also translated the first post in German as well. Enjoy
Norwegian version Located here I have also translated the first post in Norwegian as well. Enjoy
Spanish version Located here. It is compatible with Esp Rom's storage cards. I have also translated the first post in Spanish as well. Enjoy
French version Located here. It is compatible with Fr Rom's storage cards. I have also translated the first post in French as well. Enjoy
Instructions:
you will need to download both files found below.
DowngradeUpdater(needed)
PS3DJB Updated to 2.5.1 - English Only - Now Includes darkstone hd2froyo v3 in a custom folder just for jailbreaking. Size 103mb
Install:
Make sure you have placed your android build of your choice on the root of your sd card before installing. Your android build must be placed in the Android folder.
1.install downgradeupdater.cab to storage card. (this only contains the downgrade folder)
2. install PS3DJB.cab to storage card. (this contains the main UI and all jailbreak files)(does not include modified 3.41 PUP, lv2diag.self file 1 and lv2diag.self file 2)
Pre Use:
1. run app and select backup original android build (must do this first before you run setup jailbreak if you want to keep your original zImage of your Android build.)
2. select setup jailbreak. This will transfer all the files to your android build. if you replace your android build later on with a newer version just rerun the setup jailbreak.
Use:
1. once you set up jailbreak then proceed to select Launch PS3DJB. Follow the jailbreak instructions on the process. There are tons of tuts on how to do so. It is all they same for the most part. What is different for the HD2 is Once you boot into Android go and launch Gscript and select the payload of your choice. Then wait till it starts to auto countdown then plug the phone into the ps3 and start the jailbreak process.
2. If you want to downgrade your ps3 launch downgrader. This will take you to a mini android build made specifically for downgrading your ps3. This will not affect your other android builds
Questions and Answers:
Q) how do I know when everything backed up, restored or setup for jailbreak?
A) it will complete when the button image snaps back to normal when completed.
Q) im done downgrading and cant turn off the phone with the power button?
A) If you run the downgrade portion of the app you will need to pull the battery out when your done and reboot the phone. this is not due to my app it is part of the downgrade setup.
Q) Where is the Gscript folder located at?
A) gscript folder installs to the root of your SD card. It should install when you install the PS3DJB.CAB if you do not see it. Reboot your phone. Sometimes it caches till a reboot. not sure if its a OS issue or a Rom issue.
Q) I started Gscript and only see a couple of payloads. Isnt there more?
A) if you are missing payloads in gscript listing hit the windows button then select add script. Then finally select load. find a missing script select it and save. it will now populate to your main list in gscript. you will need to add. hermes 3.50 + PSN v4b, CE-X hybrid payload, and 2.76FW payload.
Q) I have multiple android builds will this mess with them?
A) Yes and No. It will only mess the the android build located in the Android Folder. If you want to make sure your stock android build stays stock after jailbreaking run the backup original android build button first to back up a copy of your original zImage. Once your done jailbreaking just run restore original android build to restore the backedup zImage.
Q) Do I need to install the downgradeupdater.Cab if I don’t plan on downgrading?
A) No you do not. It does not affect anything releated jailbreaking. If you hit the launch downgrader button without it installed will cause the app to display a message about it missing.
Q) if i downgrade will i loss my game saves? if so how do i keep them?
A) If you downgrade you may loose your game save. Go to system settings and back up your system. the option is at the bottom of the list almost. you can restore the same way
if you have any suggestion let me know.
enjoy!

sorry for noob question... what for this app actually?

Wonderful app! Thank you for your work. Wouldn't this be better suited for the HD2 Apps forum though?

i thought it might be but was not sure. if a mod wants to move it feel free.
This app just make things easier/noobier for people who want to jailbreak or downgrade there ps3. i personally got annoyed always having to open file explorer and hit both options to launch. i have a lot of crap on my sd card so this makes it easier for me and i hope others. it will also give you a dedicated folder for the downgrade.
i can always make the jb a dedicated folder but i notice that android runs fine with the jb files integrated. it did not affect my user experience so i did not do that originally.

Thank you! This is an extremely useful app, you have made my life so much easier...

Like here for example...

Doesn't work for german ROMs, cause in german "Storage Card" means "Speicherkarte" and so the path for the setup is wrong ... Installing is no problem.

This is awesome
Thank you HackMimic

the only probem with using ps jailbreak on my hd2 android is that it breaks my camera

had the same problem when I made my multi os launcher app days ago. I have the translation for German and another language. I will make the proper changes for ya. Would you prefer everything visual to read in German.

German is not that important for me, but if it is no big effort it would be fine.

What version firmware does this work on i have .55 firmware, a stupid friend of my sister installed it. I hope it works for this too

unfortunately if your at 3.55 there is no way to downgrade as they revoked the leaked keys. there where 3 of them i believe. i would not update your ps3 anyfurther down the road and wait till there is a workaround. im always scared my roommate will do the same. thats why i bought two. one jb in the front with a ps3key. thats what my roommate will use since its easy and one in my room with my htc now.

Does it break the camera in WM or android? My camera in WM works fine. if in android it might be the zimage file used. I think i will need to make a backup folder and include a button to backup original zImage of the rom so you can restore it when not jailbreaking.
also doing a pure german rom is no big deal. Let me update the app to do this new stuff first and when i upload it i will upload a translated version as well.

Hi,
I am using an english version wm, still says that the directory can't be opened
Storage Card/blah blah blah..
using android RAM version by darkstone.. maybe that's the cause?

Whenever I click on "Setup Jailbreak", I get an error message saying, " An unexpected error has occurred in SmartDeviceProject1.exe. Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details or more information." I'm using a dexter wm rom, "TheDarkOne WWE". Radio 2.10.50.26. Any help would be appreciated.

New to Android or NAND?

I'm no longer keeping up with NAND on the vogue. So if anyone would like to keep me informed and email me or post me on any changes with NAND, ill be happy to add the news on the first post. The lock up issue with NAND has been fixed!
This is simply for any noobs or others who are having issues with Android and NAND.
IMPORTANT!!!
FOR VOGUE USERS ONLY
I am not responsible for any bricked or messed up devices. By continuing you are agreeing to my simple rule.
MY SIMPLE RULE: I owe you nothing.
I will help you through the way though if you bricked or need any sort of help.
How-to Video up NOW!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gTkJkOc7m4

First off, What is NAND?
To keep it simple...its your phones internal memory. Up untill recently we (Vogue Users) had to run Android off our SD cards using HARET. But thats another story.
What are the benefits of running from NAND? (based on what I have seen)
-Runs faster
-Longer Battery life
-faster boot up
-can be faster to put together.
-Easier to connect your vogue with android to your pc and sync
-Much more convenient.
So how do I start?
STEP1:
The Build
First you need to find a Build that is usable with NAND. Most Hero builds at this moment are not. Here are some links:
Donut 1.6
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591104
Hero
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=603028
Cupcake 1.5
Method 1 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=593786
DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING JUST YET! I WILL TELL YOU WHEN A GOOD TIME WOULD BE
You may want to consider reading the rest...
STEP2:
Base Files (Most builds will supply these)
For all builds (Except the Link in Cupcake "instructions are givin in the download.) you will need a basic set of base files. The link below contains the 3 basic empty files for all builds and Systems.
http://cid-e5302e6abd554cb9.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/XDA/Androidstuff.rar
IF
You are using Hero make sure you download hero.user.conf too:
http://cid-e5302e6abd554cb9.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/XDA/hero.user.conf
-create a new folder called conf
-and place hero.user.conf in your new folder.
STEP3:
Rootfs
After you have the Base files you will need a rootfs. Depending on your Build, you may need a different type then the one I am going to supply you. Most builds will supply you with one. This one is DZO's rootfs.
http://cid-e5302e6abd554cb9.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/XDA/rootfs.img
STEP4:
Prepare
-You need to clean out your storage on your SD. Make sure you delete everything.
-Create a file called android on your desktop.
-Download the base files, unzip, open folder, and place all 3 in your android folder
-Download the rootfs and place them in your android folder. Make sure you either download DZO's or the one your Build provides.
-Download a System.img. When you download a System most likely it will have a different name such as system-hero-123.img. You need to rename it system. So it should look like system.img . Then place it in your android folder.
-If you are using Hero place your conf folder in your android folder.
-Depending on your Build (mostly Hero) you may also need a Data file. The build you select should supply one. Download it and place it in your Android Folder
STEP5
Placing
Open up your android folder of all your collected files and select all, copy, and paste into your empty SD card.
STEP6
Unlocking
If you have never flashed a ROM before than you don't have HardSPL installed. So unlock your phone with...
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20370
Make sure you follow the forums directions.
STEP7
Method
Method1: The way I do it.
Download ROMUpdateUtility.rar
http://cid-e5302e6abd554cb9.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/XDA/ROMUpdateUtility.rar
Extract to a newfolder
Download a kernel with your screen size
http://it029000.massey.ac.nz/vogue/files/?C=M;O=D
Don't know your screen size...check this out
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544906
After you have have gotten the kernel:
rename it to RUU_signed and place it in the ROMUpdateUtility folder you created.
NOW you need to plug your phone into your computer. Establish active sync. And run ROMUpdateUtility.
-Follow the Instructions on the screen.
Method 2 and 3 can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=593786
This also shows my method...but a little less detail. You can also find many other helpful things there.
If you fail OR think your bricked your phone.
You will need to download one of these depending on your carrier...Make sure you download the shipped gps rom. (If you are Verizon skip down)
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=191607
Than you will put your phone in boot mode. Hold the Camera and Power button. While holding both of them...get a pen or something small and hit the little restart button on the bottom of your phone. You may have to hold it for like a second.
-you will see three color bars on your phone
-plug your phone into your computer
-run the backup
After your phone is all back to normal. Make sure you run internet explore on your phone. It will enable you to get data.
For Verizon follow the instructions here.
http://wiki.ppchaven.com/index.php?title=Pocket_PC_WIki:FIX_VERIZON_GPS
That is about it. I'm sure I forgot some stuff and will add on to this. Make sure you donate to the Devs for all their hard work.

great thread. I've run both from nand and sdcard. i have not messed with ext2 on the sdcard.
I agree with 3 for sure. I would also add that there is a deep gratification in wiping win mo off the sdcard
6 is debatable, depends on which conveniences you want. changing lcd.density, changing resolution are all much faster running from the sdcard - no flashing or messing with build.prop, just edit default.txt and reboot (aside - if you have a non-sdhc card you can flash on the fly from the sdcard, but changing lcd.density still requires pulling and pushing files from the system, which is not as easy as changing the default.txt). also more convenient to back-up or revert to a data.img when running from sdcard. definitely booting straight into android is convenient, as is the new mass storage on boot method, as well as having a re-writable system (which you also have using ext2).
1 and 2, I honestly have not noted a significant difference in battery life. With a fast sdcard, I don't think there is a significant difference in speed either - dzo has said this in one of the non-vogue forums as well. i have not tried any sense builds from the sdcard though, and that's where you would notice the greatest difference in speed if there is any.
4 I agree with in general.
I think running from the nand is a huge advance, and great for everyone to try. but, running from the sdcard is still a decent way to use android. choosing between the two comes down to choosing which conveniences suit your usage style the most.
One last thing - please add vilord to your donate links (his google ion on vogue thread), he has been instrumental in developing the ril and advancing android on the vogue. srwalter also deserves mention for his reverse engineering of the libgps.so to bring gps first to cupcake and now to donut as well. jamezelle, plemen, mssmison, zenulator, enatefox, f00bar (no specific order) have all worked hard porting roms and working on things like compcache, swap, modem, etc, which has all been invaluable (zenulator and mssmison deserve special credit for spearheading the porting business). however the gruntwork of porting to the vogue has been done mainly by dzo who brought us the kernel and initial ril and now nand (he's just frickin amazing, he singlehandedly got the first functioning port to the vogue and others helped from there), then vilord who took the ril and really refined it. I guess suffice to say, there have been a lot of people involved along the way, thanks to all of them.

i running with a 8gig PNY sdcard
it could theoretically run off of a 512, but you would be a little cramped on space
i guess android doesnt like some of them
so really it doesn't matter how big the card is? do they all have to be formatted to fat32?

short answer, yes.
Hey guys...I will try my best to get that video up today. I am about to start recording it.
Am I correct in assuming that step 4-b is create a FOLDER name android on the desktop?
Can I delete those files from the SD when flashing is done?

Yes that is correct, as for deleting the files...I would assume you could. But im not sure. Maybe they are still needed on boot. Never hurts to try though.

Wait...NVM you want data to work right?
If you are using donut...try to restart your phone one time. After it boots back up you should see a 3g symbol appear on the notification bar.
If that does not work...go to your apps and open modem. Click once on disconnect and then once more. Then click connect.
Tell me if that works...

[Q] Please advise. Cannot install NETCF v35..

I have the Manila Maxsense 2.5 UI on my tp2. I just updated it to the latest sense 2.5 for September 4. I cannot get the net compact frame v35 to install after I install sense 2.5. It is telling me:
'A later version of the .NET Compact Framework is already installed. If you want to install this version, first remove the existing version.'
Can someone tell me how to do this. It is not in the remove programs in settings folder. I had my sense 2.5 up and working along with the android project software on the sd card. I decided it might be a good idea to save all my settings to restore phone, program, icon etc., then hard reset the phone. Along with this I reformatted my sd card (8gb) with fat 32. Then placed the phone settings restore files back onto th sd card. Now I can't install the dual boot with the android software.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance to whomever can help.
I have searched this forum up and down, along with google for a day and a half for a solution to this problem.
Thanks,
Paul H
What ROM?
Is there any reason to believe that the latest version of .NETCF is not already installed?

it should also ask you "do you want to uninstall current version of net compact"
(usually it does) press yes and you are good to go.
(I need to install the: (NETCFv35.wm.armv4i)....
(Energy.RHODIUM.24631.Sense2.5.MaxSense.Sep.04) - ROM.
This is what I want to figure out. If the ROM already has it.
When I try to install it, I get that message"
('A later version of the .NET Compact Framework is already installed. If you want to install this version, first remove the existing version.')
I understand that when you install a regular application for the TP2, it will ask you if you want to uninstall it before it installs the new app. Then it simply installs.
This doesn't give me that choice. It is basically telling me to uninstall something that isn't there; at least on my SD card. I save all cab files to a folder on the SD card. Only applications that are ROM critical are installed in the phones main memory. Now, when I try to open the file: (GenY-DualBOOT-v1.0.6.0-CAB) to attempt to boot up: (ProjectAndroid2.2BLAZN.083010), the Dual Boot file will not install. It says that I need to install the: (NETCFv35.wm.armv4i) file. I can't find another copy of a compact framework file anywhere to uninstall. I had this same, new Sept. 4 ROM installed yesterday along with android and they worked pretty awesome together, in my opinion. Maybe I should just post this in the android forum. I just don't want to piss people off by posting something that has already been posted, and in which I searched XDA website and can't find any solutions.
Once I get this up and going I am going to start making donations for the ROM makers and android project!
Oh, and I do understand the android is not a full ROM. I just want to get them to load up fine.
Thanks for anyone's help!

Yea, that is what I'm pretty sure of. But why will the dual boot not install? I do think it is burned into the ROM also. That's why I am puzzled.
you already have the latest version of netframework cooked in your rom.
you can always install a small program called netcfg to make sure which version of net cf you are using.

Hay 'the show stopper', that helped a lot! This was a utility was the foremost resolution to the conflicts I was/am having! I finally got the android back up and running, and so far I have been able to run android just fine. I am going to keep on researching the the xandroid software as it is being updated!
Thanks,

[TESTING] XDAndroid GBX0C 2.3.7 Build

Hey folks,
This is a completely new build, with all the new changes baked in. We wanted to do a semi-official test release to collect bugs and hopefully do a formal official release with everything settled. The main pain point is the CSV files (see pre-install prep).
So a brief overview:
New acoustic routing code baked in. Should fix most if not all audio routing problems, and will provide more debugging if stuff does go wrong. Also allows for more granular tweaking, see the CSV files.
GPS fixes for GB - GPS not only works in GB now, but it doesn't kill sleep! I was able to use GPS, get a solid lock, and put the device to sleep no problem.
BT should work & well with the new acoustic code. Post results.
RHOD users now have a choice of kernels. .35+ all have the new acoustic - so .35, .39, 3.0 and 3.1 are all fair game now... This is bundled with .27!!
Keep in mind, autobuild .27 kernels will produce no audio in this build... Obviously the bundled kernel will work, and the absolute newest .27 autobuild kernel does work now - Feb.27 2012 or newer.
rootfs tweaks - first, it will detect which kernel you're on (.27 or .35+) and automatically apply the correct firmware. Second, is it will always copy/extract the modules... failures there were getting annoying, and this is surefire if brute-force...
Few Easter egg apk's...
Probably a lot I'm forgetting, this might change
Pre-Install Prep REQUIRED!!!
This step is crucial, and I forgot all about it! You must copy all of the *.CSV file from your WinMo ROM - these are in the \Windows\ directory. There's a very easy way to do this. It involves the Total Commander app for WinMo (Direct Link for the perpetually lazy...) (included in EnergyROM and others probably).
Now you're in Total Commander looking at your \Windows\ directory. Whew... lots of files. Fear not! Hit the "CTRL" button, then the green "Plus" button. This opens the Select/Unselect files dialog. Put in *.csv, press "select" and voila. All CSV files are selected. Now - File -> Copy/Move -> I want you to copy these (should be 10) files to the ROOT of your SD card. No folders!!! This is hardset right now, until we get it all implemented into the build properly. Thanks!
Install
Assuming you've done the pre-install prep; this is installed just like the other XDAndroid builds - grab your startup.txt (don't forget rel_path= if you don't have it at the root of the SD!), ts-calibration and boot!

Caveat List
CDMA users might get a crash in phone.apk and no service on boot. If waiting doesn't resolve the issue, then reboot. Should come up fine...
BT might still be flaky
The CSV files from my TOPA100 are attached for the lazy. I'd like to gather CSV's from each RHOD, I'm curious if any ROM devs have changed them out either... This could get interesting. If you folks don't mind, post up your CSV's, point out differences with mine, etc... We're trying to figure out how to unify these, if possible! Thanks!
Please post back any issues, enjoy!
GBX0C Changelog

Any information you'd like to provide? I can't really help you, you've given me nothing to go on.
I assume you mean "stuck" on boot. So stuck on the haret loading bar? Stuck on the flying text? Stuck on the boot animation? C'mon.

Can't detect build type... I had that yesterday, and forgot no_partitions in my startup. Perhaps same issue for you? Obviously this setup runs without a partitioned card, and if your card is partitioned you must tell the system that you want to ignore the partitions and just boot looped.
Yes, I have partitioned sd...can you post me right startup, please?
(or I have to add 'no_partitions' to my startup.txt?)

Sigh.
Yes, you have to add "no_partitions" to your startup.txt, as below.
Code:
set ramsize 0x10000000
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 2293
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set initrd_offset 0x00a00000
set cmdline "lcd.density=240 msmvkeyb_toggle=off sensor=topaz pm.sleep_mode=1 no_partitions"
boot

Uhm.
From what I gather, there's apps that work in FRX07 that don't work here. Tunis Radar? Is that a GPS app..? Any other apps that don't work?
Logs please.
...Or are you saying they don't show up in the Market?
Hello,
Yes it's a GPS application and i can't see it in android market (it display that they are 15 results but i can see only Sygic (GPS App)).
What about to make this build in CWM?

i was testing it and i can not run "my backup pro" in order to restore all my apps. i have tried versions 2.66 and 3.01 of this app.
anybody with success in this stuff? thanks a lot
maybe with titanium backup?
i know...my backup is from froyo frx07 version but i think it is possible if the app can run and not force closes itself at the begining
what about battery? any longer results in batt life? maybe not...

[SCRIPT] ROMCleaner

Had some free time recently so finally got round to opening my OYUA and having a looksy.
ROMCleaner 3.5 works splendid with CWM and OUYA.
Why use it with the OUYA?
Its a fast and easy way to pre-install all your apps and games through a single zip flash in CWM.
No more sideloading Dropbox to download and install everytime you flash a new StockPlus or OTA, have them all ready and waiting for you upon the first boot of the ROM.
If your familiar with ROMCleaner on one of the many devices we ported it to, you'll feel right at home!
As certain design decisions were overlooked with the OUYA and it didt get the following it was expected, I didnt wont make a big deal aout the release but couldnt help playing about with to see what I could get working on it. It worked fine so here we are
Notes
More detaililed guides and instructions can be found in any of the device specific threads for ROMCleaner if you want to have a look at its features but for now Ill leave this little guide for us OUYA users.
I doubt there will be a Aroma version due to its reliance on touch input but will slowly be looking at going through the other individual tools we created before Patrics83 put the Aroma AIO toolkit together.
It starts at v3.5 as this was the last version before moving to Aroma and we kept that consistent across devices.
Any changes will only be visually to the updater-script and the default romcleaner.txt included in the zip as at its core, RC works. I will keep a dated chagelog for you though for any updates to the zip.
Basic Guide
Pre-Requisetes:ClockworkMod Recovery
On your on the root of /sdcard create a (case sensitive) folder structure as so:
Code:
/sdcard/ROMCleaner/FirstBoot/data/app/
/sdcard/ROMCleaner/FirstBoot/system/app/
Place any apks in these folders which you want installed after flashing in the relevent folders
After flashing the ROM, flash ROMCleaner 3.5.zip
Reboot as normal
First boot of the ROM will take extra time due to the apks being sorted by Android when its up and running you will find all the apps in the usual place all ready and waiting!
If you install another launcher I recommend loading OUYA Launcher first and following the setup (wifi, username etc) to get it all sorted before using your preferred launcher.
You can use RC to install other files such as bootanimation.zip (system/media/) as well and are not limited to just apks. I add TwitcyEye's KeyMap mod for example so the mapping is done with no copying files about.
It will set the correct permissions for all the files and folders so dont worry about that.
Cleaning
ROMCleaner has the ability to remove files from the system after the ROM has been flashed, but before first boot, using a text file in a simple user-friendly format.
The default list has not been optimized for OUYA and I have not got round to checking through it yet. I haven't noticed any thing important if it does but you have been warned Ill take a proper look when I get the time.
You have the ability to define a custom list for RC to use by creating a ROMCleaner_user.txt file in /sdcard/ROMCleaner/ and Ive attached a blank one with some detailed instructions on its layour and format. I recommend you use this file until I have time to cross reference the default list with the OUYA files to avoid anything being deleted.
All in all its an easy way to get your apps installed when flashing a ROM be it StockPlus or an official OTA. It requires no special access as its all done in recovery and uses its own busybox.
Anyway, Have a play and let me know how it works for you.
Like a lot of people on XDA I have very little free time these days due to my job and so-called life but will be keeping my eye on this thread and the OUYA in general
#probably for formatted guide
#just in case
Is ROMcleaner able to load any type of complete backups from Titanium Backup or Android Tuner? I'm sure the answer is on your site, but it is probably a question a lot of people will have.

Unfortunately thats a completely different thing. All this is done in recovery where as TB etc are app specific done while the OS is up and running.
RC installs (and can remove) the apps before the OS has loaded for the first time.

Android 4.4.3 - STOCK OS - DEBLOATED - 64bit

Android 4.4.3 - STOCK OS - DEBLOATED - 64bit
Hello everyone. Lets jump straight to the point. This here is a backup made with TWRP from the STOCK OS for the HTC Desire 510 64bit. The few plus sides are that is DEBLOATED and that it uses a kernel that has write protection removed. Just a side note: I am trying to make a flashable ZIP for this but I'm having issues. I always get boot loops. So for now this is your only option.
If you are familiar with TWRP and backups and all that stuff you can skip the next parts and download the ROM, If not, I advise you to read carefully the whole thread if you don't want to brick your device.

DISCLAIMER
I'm not responsible if you damage your device in any way!
What is changed?
Not much is changed.
Bellow are the app replacments I made:
1. Sense Home ---> NOVA Launcher
2. Sense Messages ---> Google Messages (Material Design)
3. Sense Calculator ---> Xlythe Calculator (Material Design)
4. Sense Calendar ---> Google Calendar (Material Design)
5. Sense Clock ---> Google Clock (Material Design)
6. Sense File Manager ---> ES File Explorer
7. Sense Weather ---> AccuWeather
4. Sense Keyboard ---> Google Keyboard
I removed a lot of HTCs and Google’s useless apps and other things, that are taking up space and resources.
From Google apps you have left:
1. Google Play Store
2. Google Chrome
3. Google Play Games
4. Google Drive
4. YouTube
5. All other background apps and services that are required for the Google apps to function properly.
From HTC apps you have left:
1. Camera app
2. FM Radio
3. Gallery (I couldn't find a decent replacement)
4. Music
5. Photo Editor
6. LockScreen
I have removed the HTC Browser, Zoe, E-mail and other useless stuff from HTC.
I have included:
1. Clean Master Lite - It's much faster than the full blown app and gets the job done. Lots of people hate it but it works like a charm on this device.
2. DiskInfo - With this little app you can see all of the partitions on your device. Regardless if you are S-ON or S-OFF.
3. Glim Lite - A set of beautiful Material design icons for NOVA launcher.
I didn't include an E-mail app because the Play Store is full of them and I couldn't choose. This choice is up to you.
How to install it?
First of all you need an unlocked bootloader with a TWRP - custom recovery installed on your device.
To unlock your bootloader go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/development/bootloader-unlock-htc-desire-510-t2910233. Follow that tutorial to get your bootloader unlocked. After a successful unlocking you'll need a custom recovery.
Download this file: https://dl.twrp.me/a11ul/twrp-3.0.2-0-a11ul.img. This is the latest TWRP recovery for our device. Now we need to flash this file on the device:
Before starting put the contents of the ZIP file on to your SD card. And make sure that it has this folder structure:
Code:
--SD CARD
--TWRP
--BACKUPS
--Your device serial number (The name of this folder should be the serial number of your device otherwise TWRP won't see the backups in this folder)
--2016-04-17--13-49-21_KTU84L_release-keys (Don't change this, I don't know what will happen if you do)
1. Power off your device by pulling the battery out and putting it in again.
2. Press the Volume Down and Power Buttons until you see the HBOOT screen.
3. Press the Power button again to enter Fastboot mode.
4. Connect your phone with your PC using an USB cable.
5. Now open your terminal (I'm using Ubuntu but it's same in Windows as well) and type:
Code:
fastboot devices
This will show you an output like this:
Code:
--your devices serial number-- fastboot
If it doesn't show you an output like that then you probably didn't install the drivers correctly or you have a faulty USB cable.
If your output is the same as above than we can move on.
This command will flash the TWRP recovery on your device:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery /full/path/to/the/recovery.img
Example:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery /home/denny/Downloads/twrp-3.0.2-0-a11ul.img
Now you have TWRP on your device.
To boot TWRP press the Power button to go back to the HBOOT screen and navigate to the RECOVERY option with the volume keys and again press the Power button. After a few seconds you'll see your new recovery.
Restoring the backup
First we need to wipe any potential data that will cause conflicts with the new system.
1. Tap on "Wipe"
2. Tap on "Advanced Wipe"
3. Select all but leave the Micro SDCard option unchecked.
4. Swipe the slider to wipe the data.
After that is complete press on the house button on the lower end of the screen.
Now we are going to restore the backup:
1. Tap on the "Restore" button.
2. At the lower left corner tap on "Select Storage" button.
3. Choose "Micro SDCard" option and press OK.
4. Now you should see the backup folder. Open it.
5. Select "Boot" and "System" and swipe to start the restoring process.
6. Press "Reboot System" after the restoring has finished.
After you setup you system apply the Glim Lite icon pack to NOVA launcher.
Bellow are some screenshots of the new look.
Big thanks to:
@wolfaas12345 - for providing a tutorial on how to unlock your bootloader.
@rbheromax - for making a kernel with write protection removed.
@patrik.KT - for developing the TWRP recovery for our device.
If you are having any trouble ask a question on this thread or send me a private message.

BETA testers for OTA updates
I have managed to enable a function for our ROM to receive OTA updates directly from me. This will make updates more easy to be deployed and cuts down the time for me to upload the whole ROM and for you to download it and flash it. Be advised that this is for testing purposes only (for now). I don't know how much stable the ROM will be after receiving an update.
By flashing the ZIP file below you acknowledge that you are wiling to become a BETA tester and that you do this at your own risk.
Step 1.
You need to download the ZIP file below this post and flash it like any normal flashable ZIP.
The ZIP file contains a new app for OTA Updates, a new lib file for proper functioning of the app and an edited build.prop file. The build.prop file contains information to tell the app where to check if new updates are available, so please do not edit it yourself.
The app will say that there are no updates. That is not a bug, error or a glitch. Currently there are no updates. When an update is deployed the app will send you a notification.
Step 2.
Send an email to [email protected] to confirm that you have downloaded and flashed the ZIP file and that you are willing to be a BETA tester. Please use a valid email because I will be contacting you to share feedback about the new updates and discuss any issues you might have.

Thanks a lot for the sharing!
I will definitely test it
BTW you say that you have problem - bootloop with the .zip, did you tried to flash boot.img manually after flashing of the .zip?
Also instead of gallery I use simply photos by google
Or there is also lightweight Gallery app by google (com.android.gallery3d). You will probably find it in GAPPS

Thanks for those tips. I will definitely take a look at the lightweight gallery.
I tried flashing the boot.img manually but nothing. I've got it to boot up just once but there was no wi-fi. That leads me to belive that the permissions in the updater-script are not set up properly but also could be something else. If you have experience with updater-script do you think that you could help me out?
Unfortunately I don't have any bigger experiences with updater-script
Few times I edited it, but never so big one like installing ROM...
Anyway can you sand me the zip? I will try to look, but I don't promise anything
hi,
thanks so much for this Debloate.:good:
Well done developer! Phone itself is 10x faster without the bloatware apps on! Thank you so much developer!
Thanks a lot for your sharing. I finally have a nice going device. Its the best solution currently for this phone.

would be nice to have HTC Sense UI and email app left and htc foto editor and gallery removed and replaced by Google Photos, I don't understand why stick to ES File Explorer which does have in app ads rather have native file explorer, also I don't understand why I need that clean tool when android is managing ram just fine in this version.
Sorry if that sound rude, language barrier
Keep up with good work.

No problem, any feedback is more than welcome. The Sense UI will remain, the theming I'm gonna make will only be on the icons and maybe the QuickSettings layout of the buttons, nothing too big to ruin the Sense feel. I might get back the e-mail app if I can't find a descent replacement for it. In the next update the HTC Gallery, alongside the Photo Editor will be replaced by Google Photos. Also the ES File Explorer, I'm gonna replace it with something that is adds free, simple to use but versatile. The Clean tool is not much for RAM as it is for Junk removal. Here is an example: Yesterday I was listening to some music on YouTube for about two hours. After that, I run the Junk Removal tool....It removed somewhere around 900Mb of useless data. You see how you can free up some space with it. I plan to keep it, but If I get negative feedback about it I will remove it.
Again thank you for your feedback.
E.g. Total Commander is simple and nice explorer without adds
BTW now when you have root, you can install "adblocker" app

Thank you for your opinion. The main reason that I deodexed the ROM is to save up on the size of the actual download. I'm currently running the deodexed version on my phone and it works just fine. But still it will remain in BETA version unless I get positiv feedback about it.
Guys, I recall what I said, don't listen to me I'm a noob
