Spanish Galaxy Tab Brick - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On the fourth day of buying the mobile phone, i install an application to split & join, and the phone remains locked. when i reboot, the screen did not load. i install the JH3 firmware and I still use my phone normally, but it worked somewhat slower than when I bought ..
3 days ago I saw the new P1000XXJMA and P1000XXJM6 firmware in samfirmware.com and decided to flash my phone again.
odin, always crash when i try to install this new firmware.
i try the new 1.7 version what comes whit the firmware. but it crashes.
the old 1.7 crash 2
Now the worst is that when I do a repartition the European pit, then, to restart and try again to flash JH3 and it always gives me an error! I've tried all the pits and all the versions currently in samfirmware.com and all time fails
its impossible to me install custom firmware from any internet source like samfirmwares.com
I can not make run my phone.
anyone can help me?

Ok try to download the vodafone bj4 version. Unpack it. It contains the radio and csc files too you wil need.
Now, with odin 1.7 first you select repartition with a pit1.
After you pres reset and choose the csc and phone files from the vodafone version and the pda file from the new jma.
It should work, at least it worked for me.
Have you got the tab from vodafone spain?
There is the netlock on. You should unlock it. It says everywhere to unlock it first before messing arround with firmwares.
Please post up here if it works or not.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App

im research on google for a vodafone bj4 firmware, but i cannot find anything
do you have a reference for me?
im buy my galaxy tab unlocked.. with virtual mobile operator, SIMYO.es
i dont want spend more than 750€ in 18 months of contract.
with Simyo i have 300MB for free, and 4 minuts to any mobile carrier at 0.40€

Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=854300
1) Download the the file HERE and extract the it
2) Inside the ZIP you will find Odin 1.7 + PIT file + PDA +Modem + CSC files.
3) Open Odin, select the PIT file + PDA + Modem + CSC into their respective places.
4) Make sure repartition is CHECKED.
5) put the phone in download mode and connect it to your computer. start flashing.
6) The device will reboot. If you are getting tons of FC's on boot, reboot into recovery and do a factory reset.
Done.
After that you must push the CSC for spanish operators into /system/csc/ ( you must be root ) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PI28KJE7

Hola Cid Campeador,
Gracias

@EL_CID_CAMPEADOR I am in your same situation: I cannot flash (get Odin's error)
But the thread you are pointing as solution mention the usage of a APK, which means you can boot into your system.
What did you exaclty do to eventually flash and boot the system?
thank you!

i know it's been a long time since you posted this, but if you can point me to the right direction I would be extremely greateful.
thank you

you mean reflash using odin ?
when i use odin it download well it says no errors and reboot but still stuck , unless there is others ways beside odin
also i wanted to say when my root and cmw went fine i did a back up on it and it worked before , each time i try to restore it in the end at the data it says :
.android_secure.img not found and its bypassing that part
but says its done after , but doesnt boot too
Pull out the battery and replace after 10 seconds, then try flashing different ROM using PC Odin. while flashing do not Tick Re-partition and do not attach pit file.
If he is flashing another ROM with PC Odin his counter will raise up and the yellow triangle will show up.
It can only be removed with a JIG.

You Should be more specific
Flashing ANY Stock ROM with PC odin, don't raise counter.
Your reply shud be flashing custom ROM with PC odin counter will raise.
not ANOTHER
Right, sorry forget to mention
So he should just flash a STOCK ROM with Odin

in odin , can you see "successful=1, fail=0 " in end of progress details after reboot??
I Guess there is a problem with your Device. Now just boot into Download mode and check what is in the binary counter.. it should be

CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD : NO
CURRENT BINARY : SAMSUNG OFFICIAL
if so goto Service center.

Galaxy Ace S 5830M Bootloop

Hello,
I have a friend with a Non-Rooted, totally stock Galaxy Ace s5830M that's stuck on a boot loop. He was playing a game and the screen started flashing and it rebooted. It is now stuck in a boot loop.
I've been able to get in to Stock Recovery and in to Download mode without issues.
We tried to flash Clockwork Mod Recovery. It apparently succeeds , but when we reboot it does not "stick". Flash CWM,reboot and it just shows the Stock recovery menu. I found this thread, regarding this issue.. But this phone is completely stock, bought on Amazon and shipped to Venezuela. I think it was running Gingerbread.
We then tried to flash to a Stock Firmware from my country from Sammobile.com with Odin.
Once a single file recovery ( a large file with a md5.tar extension) and it fails:

Factory reset ur phone from recovery & wipe cache. Also, U need to place the individual firmware files at correct fields in odin (hope U did that) otherwise ur phone'll not be able to boot properly.
As far as I know there are four files (BOOT, PHONE, PDA, CSC) in full package & only one file (of extension:- tar.md5) in One Package firmware...

The S5830i, S5830C, S5830M and S5839i are the same aka cooperve.
The only difference is the region, this version of Odin works with S5830M too!
Anyway, this rom you flashed is from Brazil, and works with your phone too. Try a wipe data/factory reset on recovery, this maybe works.
You should have a look at S5830i Development and S5830i General, there you will find more answers about your phone.

Hi Rafael. OK, I have made a detailed how to in Taringa that specifies the way to install a Stock ROM for SGA GT-S5830M. Just search in google "tutorial flashear samsung galaxy ace 5830m con odin - Taringa!" (without quotation marks) and enter the first result, it would redirect you to my post, check that the name of the creator is "jhonaff", if so, just download the files from there, and flash them via Odin 1.85 or 1.87. In the post there is a link to download the version 1.85, this version of Odin is the one that works perfectly with this device. Following that steps I gave life again to my SGA 5830M.
After you download, unzip the files in the S5830M.rar archive, you will get three .tar.md5 files; now put the files in the following order in Odin:
BOOTLOADER -> leave this section empty.
PDA -> select the PDA file.
PHONE -> select the MODEM file.
CSC -> select the CSC file.
Now click Start button and wait for the process to finish; at the end of the process the phone will reboot in recovery automatically and it will run a script, don't unplug it, and don't do anything yet. The phone will reboot once more and now it will pass the Samsung logo and will show you the Samsung bootanimation. Now you can unplug it and wait, the first boot may take 1 or 2 minutes and you will get your phone alive again.
PD: I can't give you a link to my post cause I'm new in this site and I don't have 2 posts here, so I can't post links in my replies.
PD2: My post in Taringa is in Spanish, I think it is understandable, but if not, use a traductor, after all you just want to download the correct files.
I hope this can help you. I speak spanish and has been years from the last time I spoke in English, so forgive me if something is wrote incorrectly.
Thank you jhonaff2

Hi Rafael. OK, I have made a detailed how to in Taringa that specifies the way to install a Stock ROM for SGA GT-S5830M. [Q] Can only use 'Download Mode'

Hi guys and girls.
I've been frantically searching XDA for the last few hours for a definitive answer, but to no avail, so thought it's about time I just asked!
I have in my possession a Samsung Galaxy S19000, that will only go into download made.
Here's how it happened........
This morning, I was given the phone by my brother in law and asked to root it and upgrade it to a newer/better rom. When it was passed
to me, it was.....
Firmware: 2.2.1
Baseband: 19000XXJY
Kernel: 2.6.32.9
[email protected] #1
Build: FROYO.XXJPY
After a successful root and upgrade, the phone ended up like this...
Firmware: 2.3.7
Baseband: 19000XXJVK
Kernel: 2.6.35.14-g3088622
Build: CyanogenMod-7.2.0-galaxysmtd
The new Rom, as nice as it was, wasnt what he wanted, so he asked me to restore it back to it's stock state. I went into CMW and did a restore, but it failed, and now the phone will only go into download mode.
I've tried flashing a stock rom via Odin, but it got as far as the 'Nand write' stage, then hangs.
Kies doesn't show up the device in 'Emergency firmware recovery' either.
I no all is not lost, so I'm not giving up. Any help will be much appreciated.
:fingers-crossed:
Can you post the whole Odin Log?
Normally this happen when the partitions on the embedded multi media card gets corrupted for whatever reason, also known as the emmc.
Maybe it helps to flash the pit file to repartition.
To add.....
When the phone is off, it displays the 'phone and computer with an explanation mark triangle inbetween symbol', and Kies doesnt recognise it. When I enter download mode, Kies hangs at 'Connecting' for.....well..ever! So atleast I know it's recognised by my PC (ish) and it isn't completely dead :silly:
I had the same thing with the triangle a few months ago.
I just flashed a Stock Firmware with Repartition. Just be sure with Odin that you have ticked the right things Afterwards it worked.
Thankyou for you reply, and sorry for the delay posting back. God damn new user restrictions!!!

Christ that looks involved doesn't it! I think that be a last resort as it looks like I'll need to clear a day in my diary before I start!
For the moment you can ignore the second thread
Find a 3 File (PDA, Phone, CSC) Firmware ( maybe samifirmware.com ) , then download the 512 pit file for the GALAXY S! and the flash the Firmware with pit file and repartition.

Odin Flash Failure & Virus Removal

I recently bought a used Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini and it appears to be infected with viruses (I did several factory resets including at least 2 hard resets and there are random programs that stay installed). I want to remove them before actually using the phone as my main phone. The phone works however. It will both connect to the internet and make calls. I put the phone into download/developer mode prior to connecting it to the PC and I tried to use both Odin 3.09 and Odin 3.07 to put stock firmware I downloaded from here at sammobile onto the phone. I was following the guide located at droidviews. (The forum is not letting me post direct links)
Please help! I do not have a lot of money to buy a new phone which is why I bought this used one in the first place. I am using Windows 10 on my PC. The phone was purchased in South Africa.
The download bar never even began to move on the phone display during this process.
This is the fail message Odin 3.09 gave me. I'm pretty sure it has been identical each time I've tried.

AVG virus scan detected 7 malwares and an unsecure setting that I do not know. The unsecure setting is "your device is running in High Priviledge mode (i.e. it has been rooted)." The 7 malwares all have the following message next to them by AVG. "This app was pre-installed by your phone vendor and we cannot remove it." When going to Settings>applicaton>all I could disable 5 of the 7, but could not uninstall any of them. They are not original apps seeing as they have names such as Mp3 Free Downloader, ConfigNService, etc.
Please let me know if you have any idea why the Odin flash is failing.

Did you tried uninstalling them with root privileges? I think es file explorer can do the trick of uninstalling system apps. If you can't get working stock rom with odin, just flash through cwm/twrp a custom rom.

I installed es file explorer and when I went to turn on root explorer it said that it that the test failed and that option couldn't run on my device. I do not know if it is a s3 mini issue or if it is a setting/malware issue. Also, I do not know anything about cwm/twrp custom ROMs. Do you have any articles or youtube videos that you recommend checking out to learn more and execute this idea? If you have any ideas how to gain root privileges with es file explorer that would be great as well.
Thanks for your help!
