[APP] Timeout 3G

An app called timeout3g, I'm using
The paid version. 9 hours moderate usage and only dropped 20%. It turns off data when phone is in standby. BUT also enables it at preset times to check for mail and push stuff. Awesome stuff.

Using it too, and agree, does the job well.
You should change the thread title to:
[APP] Timeout3g
People will just ignore it if they think it's another post about battery life as there's about 10,000 already in the general section
Apologies, I should of known better. Been a while since I've posted in forums. Being an ex iphone owner

It only disables data or can also switch 3G/2G ?
edit: i looked the dev page, looks like the current android api don't allow apps to switch 3G/2G directly
I've got a Wiko King (same as A110) but Timeout3G don't work on Jellybean ... :'(
Who can help me ?

I really like UCCW but I uninstalled it because it consumes too much mobile data and I don't have an unlimited internet plan. I remember when it consumed 50mb in 2 days when I didn't have any weather option enable, just clock

Really? Never occurred to me though. What consumes a lot of data is the XDA app as I always look into the homescreen thread. Lots of pics, lots of data used.

It's weird because I didn't have any localization or weather option on. Maybe the ads?

Have no idea, I did not use weather and localization too.
This is my data usage for one day. Uccw didn't used up much data at all. This was taken with auto-location and weather update set at 1 hour intervals. See screenshots attached.

[Android 4.0+] NetTech: The Ultimate Network Analyser

Hey XDA!
My friend and I recently released a network performance/diagnosis tool in the Android Play Store, and today we have updated the apps with all new features and capabilities. Check them out!
NetTech allows you to quickly and easy check your current network conditions. With this app, you are able to see network strength (both WIFI and Mobile networks), IP information, DNS information, and various WiFi information. You are also able to test current network performance by doing ping tests and speed tests.
The full version includes:
-No ads
-Google Map interface showing your location along with the nearest cell tower that you are connected to or the location of your IP address if you are on WiFi
-(New) Ability to take a snapshot your current network configuration (WIFI only) and be able to compare configurations at different locations. For example, you can take a snapshot at home and a snapshot at work and compare the two network environments!
The lite version includes:
-ALL features of the full version
-Ad-supported
-Previous, the lite version was very limited and only contained about 1/3 of the features, but we felt it was best to get all features to all users
Please check them out on the Play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.crypticapps.nettech
We would love any remarks about the app and criticism/feature requests!
Thanks guys!
Traceroute would be nice, as well nslookup and an easy way to edit ip configuration from the app

Both suggestions have been noted. Thanks for the suggestions guys, we are always looking to improve, so keep them coming!
This app looks very promising, I will test tonight. I have a query, will this app check multiple wifi strengths at the same location?
Interesting, will give this a try at home.
Looks great

Restricate internet(mobile data),,built it setting!!!

Dear all,
I was wondering if we have any built in setting to totally restricate(not background data) mobile internet for few selected apps!! I used lbe security in previous xsola mobile. Since we dont have root n its kinda messy to use third party app to do these things. Since i use only mobile data need to save some data. If there is somthing like that setting kindly share with me. I would be very happy ... I saw these setting in my brothers iphone. I was so jelouse :banghead:

You could try Juice Defender Ultimate. This app has a lot of futures to handle sync and blocking on per app basis.
There's root if you really seem to need it btw.
