I'm Guess you Fixed the Reboots caused by the Framework when using EUR Based Roms? If no H / 3G / E then it just a Masked Rom on Stock Vibrant Frameworks.
What was the issue if you don't mind, I know it's in the service.jar and Barak & myslef has been looking at it when we get time... Statusbar SignalUpdate is the error, just not had much luck in finding the right part of it yet...
Sad thing is HSPA ( H ) and 3G works Perfect, but when switching to Edge is falls out & no edge service can be used..

After the 700th de-odex, there were no reboot issues.
Biggest issue now is the inability to connect to secured wifi - gonna spend the day working on that. Also if you fail to do a full wipe after the flash then it will most likely boot loop, especially if coming from JFD.

Interesting. Does this ROM contains european locales as i9000 rom? (especially interested in russian)

Very nice
I might have another look at my de-odex script then..
Odd though, I have no issue's connecting to wifi on the JPU build I have though, I just get reboots when switching to edge.
I'll re-flash mine to see if wiping after flashing fixes it, the Data switching is what has keep me from releasing mine for over a week now.
Good job,
~Eugene

Flashing now............................and theres the bootscreen
EDIT: I have a constant hiccups of vibration going on at boot..... this normal?

Has anybody safely apply latest Voodoo 5 lagfix on this rom ?
Thank you.

By ridiculously high Linpack out of the box...what numbers are we talking about?

I applied jl4 stock + voodoo on it and its working out well.

Anyone wanna elaborate on some bugs? I followed the install instructions (instead of my usual flash over cwm and ignore instructions) and everything seems to be working fine. No fcs, haven't tested 3g or GPS yet since I'm indoors and don't get a good signal anyway. The only annoying thing is the TW launcher chooses the first screen as the home screen and I can't change it, but I use Launcher pro anyway.

Love to get 2.2.1 rom 100% working, as the speed is just awesome
The only issue I have is the Edge switching like I has said before, hope we came put something together and make this thing 100% stable

When you get that rom running right I might try again to update my phone. The last attempt was more drama than I wanted, due to my own ignorance, of course.

flipclock for 1.5 sense roms, now working!

UPDATE: seems to work fine for most people by just flashing, my phone had different problems.
it does work with this method when having trouble otherwise: wipe, fresh installation of mcr3.1/2, boot and do the setup, flash the clock. a wipe is not mandatory, it has proven to work without a wipe in many cases now. should work on all 1.5 sense roms.
in every case make a nandroid backup before! then flash the zipfile as usual from the recovery menu, no need to delete anything manually before.
who wonders what this is about, from 0:12 in this video. the flipclock was removed by htc in the 2.73 series roms, probably for performance reasons. since (especially) paul and teknologist have done a lot on the performance side it is worth a try IMHO. so far the feedback is good, ppl don't seem to notice an impact on the performance.

animations are always bad to capture in a screenshot. this is the regular 2x4 hero clock widget with the digits flipping over as animation, as it was in the 1.76.x roms. the animation was removed for performance reasons, but since a lot has changed performancewise i think it is worth a try.
i'll see if i can dig up a video. edit: there you go, about 13 seconds in.

what rom are you using? do you experience any performance lags? do all apps work, i think i had problems with connectbot while the clock was installed?
and we still have to wait for long term results, i hope it doesn't drain the battery...
btw, it is still not working for me, dammit!
the latest Modaco rom 3.1, i wasn't getting any lag switching from screen to screen but i did go back to my back up cause it was abit annoying wait a few seconds to know what the time is, i didn't test all my apps lol all i did was surf the inter-web. All i did was to flash it as an update.zip and for me it worked perfectly

i leave that as an exercise to the reader flashed enough today, going to bed now. nandroid is your friend. my bet: won't work. try wiping, flashing the rom, do the initial setup, then flash the clock. and keep us posted
Flashed, clock still displays, force closes when the flip should happen.

this was taken from a gsm rom, so i wouldn't expect it to work in a cdma rom. i replied to a thread in the cdma section pointing them here, my guess would be that the procress has to be redone with cdma sources. i can't do this without having access to the running rom.

so i was right you could check logcat for errors, but tbh i don't think there is much that can be done, given the closed source nature of the sense framework.

Droid Incredible Signal Fix for CM6

Sup all,
As every Incredible user knows the signal bars are messed up from the factory. I have created a update flash that will fix this problem and get a little more out of your phone. This is only for CM6 not for any other 2.2 or 2.1 rom as it will not boot past splash screen. I have not tested this on Ruby.
D/L Removed
Enjoy
CJ
Thanks! When I try out AOSP's next time I'll check it out. Welcome to XDA!
Hey in a side note I loved the Jager boot animation. Anychance we could get a .zip to flash with it

I use CM6 all the time, what exactly does this change? Any chance of posting a stock file also in case I want to switch back?
anyone tried this? if so what do u think?
tested on ruby, and it did not work. just an fyi.
I'm very interested but as always skeptical to be the first one. I would like to know what it changes, and maybe even have the stock file in case it doesn't work as planned. Im using 6.0.2
I guess this works, just flashed and the bars seem higher but they always jump so I really can't tell.
just flashed and i really cant tell a difference

same here, I noticed CM6 does what stock sense did with under reporting the dB into signal bars.
This is what it fixes, the under reporting the db into signal bars. I can tell you this while driving to another town 30 miles away I used to have pandora stop streaming because of signal level for at least 20 of the 30 minute drive. I now can drive the entire way listening to music. This will not solve no service issues but might help, plus is a great improvement in weak signal areas. Remember db -120 is no service at all. For Ruby I will be working with sniffle to get this incorporated.
CJ
So what exactly its the change? Is there any way of also posting up the stock file incase this doesn't make any improvements.
Thanks for your work!

[ROM-FIX] CM 6.xx, Ruby 1.1.1 and Shadowrom Radio and Wifi - Drops and Reboots Fix

Latest Cyanogenmod nightly number 97 (10/3/2010) has the new ril baked in. No need to use this patch if you are running it or a newer one.
Back Story
Long story short, the Chinese group Miui mananged to get / build (not really sure) a new Radio Interface Layer for our HTC devices... I pulled this file out of the Nexus one build that they released and it works perfectly. Link to the Nexus1 version
Over in the Nexus one forum a few people have questioned where this Chinese group got some of the files they're using, as they're really bleeding edge (at least thats what they say in the N1 forum). This newer / different RIL file seems to fix the issues we're facing with random phantom reboots while wifi is on. Also included in this is the issue where the signal bars show an "x" for a second or two after connecting to a wifi hotspot. Also fixed are issues where the radio signal drops before / after receiving a call that plagues AOSP builds (ruby and CM for sure).
Cyanogenmod 6.xx
This works on the 6.xx versions as well as the Nightlies.
NOTICE: As of Oct 2nd this has been "committed" so I assume the nightly that comes out this evening will have the fix built in. Check it out
Latest nightly number 97 has the new ril baked in. No need to use this patch.
Ruby 1.1.1
This works for Ruby. If you are wanting the BT Media Streaming audio fix as well, please see this thread. They are two separate installs.
Shadowrom
It has been confirmed that this also works for Shadowrom.
Bugs
I honestly don't know of any yet... but that doesn't mean there aren't any. Only a handful of us have been testing this thing out on the inc so far. Figured more people might want to check it out.
Credit
I take no credit for the fix. The Miui group built/got it(not sure which), I simply happened to be playing around with some files and noticed the side effects. Thanks again to Jermaine for letting me know more about the rom (and the fact that they weren't plagued by our reboot issues) in the first place so I could start digging...
Of course thanks go out to the entire ruby and cyanogenmod teams, without them we wouldn't have these fun roms. Lastly, IncredibleDoes for doing the Inc port of miui that opened our eyes to it.
Installation
- Download the file and place it on your SD card.
- Load up Rom Manager and hit "Install rom from SD card," select the file.
- I'd probably make a nandroid backup if you haven't recently just in case... no wipe has been needed.
Disclaimer
If this messes up your phone, not my fault Was tested by about 30 people so far, and no issues that we've seen. Please make a nandoid backup just in case.
THIS IS FOR AOSP roms listed above ONLY. Please do NOT install it on any sense based roms.

I really dont believe its the wifi. Its when the 3g turns on or off when the issues happen, which is when you leave or enter a wifi area. I turned 3g off and didnt use it for 2 days with wifi on the whole time with no reboots. I've have the lockup with just 3g on as others have noted. Also I believe that the lockups and the reboots are a separate issue. I have yet to see where any dev said it was the wifi directly, and with the known issues of 3g+froyo it points to 3g not wifi.
So, if you turn wifi off and are in a good 3g area then you will unlikely lose 3g much if at all, but if you have signal issues then the reboots still exist.
If we are going to find out what the problem is we need to setup test groups.
1 - no wifi, no 3g
2 - no wifi, 3g on
3 - wifi on, no 3g
4 - wifi on, 3g on
Make sure everyone is using the same rom/radio.

That's a possibility, but I think I'm in a good 3G area, and the majority of my movements are in a pretty small geographic area. I'll get reboots when my phone is just sitting on a table or in my pocket though in an area w/ strong signal.
Make sure everyone is using the same rom/radio.

I think what we'd really need is for the testers to check all 4 combinations. There's too much geographic variance to have a bunch of different people testing these combinations unless some lived very close to each other.

Just when i setup KA6 . Thank you, gonna flash it now just for the sake of it.Will see in the morning how it behaves.
Wow!
All I have to say is whow, hold up your going to fast for me!
This is by far the fastest rom I have used on the Vibrant thus far. The response is just insane. Only had it 30 minutes or so so I can't say the battery life will be great.
The radio on this is insane, gps lock in like 10 seconds and within a minute on the tester was a 6m accuracy in a car doing well past the speed limit, I wasn't driving . The speed of the web browser is the fastest experience as well on the Vibrant.
I will say I tried going to Trigger twice but it wouldn't show the launcher at all, I couldn't get it fixed and in a moment of desperation tried this and I think it was fate.
Well done and many thanks!
PS: The Einherjar Dev Team is lucky to have you and if this is the product you can put out, man this dev team is the new hotness. I was already in love with Pepperkake and haven't found a rom till this one that I liked as much.

Thank you thank you, I'm glad to be a part of this team. We're a good mix of experience and up and comers.
Hey, I've been using this rom since last night and so far everything is running smooth and stable.
I did not ask him what the deal was, to be honest a bad odin flash might be what did it. However I re odined and reflashed and it did the same thing. I was at work and it was coming up shift end time so I was just trying to get something working for the ride home, plus was waiting for a call from the wife.
My only request is an accurate battery mod with some wicked graphic like the circle that changes colors.
For now and the past 3 roms I've had I just used a widget out of the market so no big deal. Debating whether I want the wifi calling, before at my house I didn't get the best reception, call from wife once i got home was steller quality and no breakup so I think in all honesty the radio may have done the trick and may not require the wifi calling afterall. Plus I'm worried what it might do to this screeching performance.

You're absolutely right about the radio. I found the early versions of the Wifi calling app to be a resource hog, which is why I remove it from this build, and have always removed it from my personal builds. As far as the accurate batery mod, I'm sure that cooking up somewhere. I'm planning on taking some time this weekend to jump into framework modification and theming, so I can start bringing these things to the builds myself. Until then, we have to wait on our wonderful community here to provide us with the mods when new versions drop.
god, i jizzed when i saw the screenshot of the new music player when i was on official 2.2, it was too laggy to even go there... im downloading now!
Hey, one feature I miss having is the ability to choose the unlock screen. Specifically the glass unlock

The Multiple Lock Screens or Power Menu haven't been ported over yet. Again, a framework thing. I'm learning as I'm going and will eventually have all of these worked into an initial release. For now, our boy Whitehawkx has been porting this stuff over with the help of untermensch, for all of our viewing pleasure.

market will update itself, I can add a flashable zip to the op to add back in the Memo.apk. As far as swype, I don't use it personally, UltraKeyboard for me , but I can definitely look into it.
axura zip is missing system/apps for some reason..... can you upload a memo please? thanks!
and the swype is just a suggestion, most people use other keyboards too im guessing.

Thanks. All fixed.
Everyone seems to be including Darkyys RAM booster and the Fugu Tweaks in their ROMs now, does this one include either, or is the EDT scripts your own version of the said above?
I want to give this a try... only decent looking thing I've seen in a few weeks.
Nice to see you still in action.

I'm about to flash this and check it out but I was wondering what, if anything, are the major differences between this and Bi-Winning aside from theming. Thanks.
For those of you who (like me) can't stand having an accurate battery mod, I've posted a MetaMorph that will replace the numbered batteries with the stock icons. It won't break the xml and any charging animation will stay the same. I've also included a Pepperkake revert if you change your mind.

does this rom include chinese input language?
So far so good with this ROM, it's simple and clean... pretty much just like Bionix. I've kept Overstock in it for now without OC'ing just to get things setup, I'll be tossing in TB later to use the UV features I enjoy.
** Only bug I've noticed so far is the puzzle lock screen. The puzzle piece is really fugly...like a teal-ish color with a drop shadow under it. Kinda looks like a photo negative or something. **
I would also like to request the gingerbread keyboard. I'm not sure if it's a Bionix specific deal or if it's as simple as just pushing an apk, but it's probably the only thing I feel this ROM is missing.
This was installed on a fresh formated factory ODIN. Had a softbrick issue a few hours ago so everything was re-done.
Guess I'll ride this one out until we get a 2.3.
Yea it has the Chinese keyboard as well as the 4 Chinese language options.

I did notice a Chinese keyboard installed while I was removing extra bloat. I didn't try it, but I'd assume it's functional.

There isn't too much difference between this and Bi beta 3. Thats what Im using for a base. Its not identical, I did add a few things, and removed some things.

Yeah that puzzle lock is funky. Thanks for pointing that out. I will add the GB keyboard with the next update.
Ginger Themes are my favorite. Been using GCR3 lately, but I'll give this one a look as well. Seems to have everything.

NP, I'll post anything else I find, but so far it's all perfect. I did switch over to TB kernel. I like Overstock, but it runs a little hot on my phone and I can't UV.
Great work, and I'll be looking out for next update for that GB keyboard.
Thanks!
Also,
I just started getting some fresh text messages this morning and realized the screen doesn't come on like it should when you get a text/mms.
I do use BLN, but the screen should still come on briefly.
