Can the Galaxy S Screen Protector be used for the Nexus S? I've asked a friend to get me a phone from the US and would like to know if I can just use the SGS protector with this, else I'll ask him to get me one of those too.
Also, in this forum, I read a while back that the NS screens would not get scratched ... is this true?

If you cut it sure. If not, no, it won't fit correctly.

SGS shape is different, it will not work out of the box
but if you don't mind doing some handy work it will work
however, you can get a really nice indestructible shield screen protector for only $10 off ebay, which is what i ordered

My Diamond was delivered today.
Im just wondering whether you guys feel it is worth installing the supplied HTC screen protector? Im wary of having dust/bubbles trapped under the screen and suffering a dull display with poor responsiveness to the touch functions.
Could you please give me your opinions/experiences and any installation tips.
Im still undecided.

using built-in forum search ... aiming at section Diamond -> Diamond searching for "Screen Protector" provided me with some topics although I admit the fact that searching isn`t all you need to get the answer ... you need to know what are you searching for
I've never regretted using a screen protector, plenty of times I could have.
Strange that your device comes with a screen protector, mine didn't. I ended up getting one of the Martin Fields ones, love'em.
I think all original Diamond`s come with screen protector unless it`s branded. There`s no point in including them just in some series If your`s HTC then write them and ask for your protector
the one that came in the box is pretty crap. Mine's already scratched up. Martin Fields screen protectors are getting really good feedback.
I've already scratched my protector. It's a no brainer to install one - every HTC I've used has gotten scratched in the first day before I got round to protecting, and it definitely makes it tougher to sell later.

I've been using the one in the box for a month and it's perfect. The pro's are
using isopropanol (alcohol) and after that tape to remove any particles left.
Have you guys tried the screen protector that came with your Zenus Galaxy Tab case?
It's good but, hard to put on without bubbles.
Idk what you gonna get, but I have to mention one thing,
the case make singnal little weak. I confirmed.
I'm still love one so I just keep using it, but some times little annoying when I making a call.

Ok. It drop a line with the case on, I can live with it, but it drop almost all the satellites in gps mode with the case on, this will not do. Can someone confirm? I will hate to change my Zenus case.

Assuming you have the case, i'm not sure what point there is the the protector anyway.

Just want to test it for the fingerprints / anti glare qualities the protector claims to have..but since all you guys are negative, maybe I won't even test it

I've ordered a Samsung one with my tab for £5 which is hopefully ok - in case one doesn't come with the Zenus case. If the Samsung one is rubbish, I'll go with Martin Fields as they have never let me down (4x the price though).
My phone got scrashes EXACTLY LIKE HELL its LOT of scrashes whit only a leather cleaning cloth im really sad now
its more than 90 scrashes never droped...
while my sensation droped 1time like hell in sand and stones working fine NO scrashes.....
And
in gamma test i can see numbers under 11 and 8 is it software prob? Or hardware that make me to think about selling my note and getting new note 2 coz i did think it also has nfc

gorilla glass is scratch resistant... BUT NEVER SCRATCH PROOF...
if you look into the Accessories section on the forum, you'll see why it is important to always buy some leathercase/case protection for your Note. It'll save you the burden of looking down (*utterly disgusted) on the scratch mints and marks on your screen.
You can buy a cheap decent screen protector as well to protect your screen from further scratches. I am not sure what is your line of work but I always take care of my phone as the same as I would (take care) of my family. Do buy necessary protective accessories for your phone to dispel further scratches or damages it might bring in the future
Now with your gamma screen issue, somebody on one of the threads here said that it is a software issue. If you read and read, you will see and understand intently on what is 'Black Clippings/Crush'.. that is related to your concern as well.

Thanks but $ is getting higher here so i buyed note like 1030 so now its 1330 so i sell it 1100 and get the galaxy note 2
And i hate scren protectors because it reduct scren quality and... And pen cant move correct and redect pen accurity
Btw i wil buy screen protector for my note 2 EXACTLY when i buy it :!

I used right now a clear transparent screen protector. Pretty much you won't even know and feel that you have it on the phone. It does not degrade my screen's contrast quality even on direct sunlight at all.
It's not going to cost you much by putting it for now, and the S-Pen still functions smoothly still, the way it should be. Also you can price your Note more if you have a screen protector on it, as the buyer would feel that you have well taken cared your phone. You can in fact make a salesman talk in making the price higher. And screen protectors as well hides the screen scratches from the buyers (in case they might be turn off, when you show them your phone will all the scratches on it), So your phone gets a lot more appraisal value than what it now has.

I have never had to replace the in a cell phone before but my wife managed to break the glass on the S5 Active (SM-G870A).
Has anyone else had to deal with this yet? I have searched every source I could find for the glass but it doesn't appear to be on the market yet.
Searching Alibaba for the glass comes up with glass for an s5mini glass replacement :-/

Same here I dont believe there is a replacement glass yet, which is really frustrating when it comes to Asurian bull crap which is the insurance company for any sort of replacement devices.. $199 is the deductible .

Is just the glass broken? The digitiser is all OK? Just so you know there iscavhigh chance your phone will no longer be water/dust resident if you do this.
It's not hard. Do you have the tools? Heat gun (a hair dryer could work) pics ( guitar pick could work) .
Just go slow and make sure you heat the glass up lots.
If you want it to be 100% you will have to glue the digi to the glass. This all depends on how mechanically inclined you are and you will need more tools and skills.
I realize the OP is over a year old. But I was recently looking for a replacement screen for my S5 as well. I came across this website that also has a screen replacement for the G870A.

In certain places, it comes with a screen guard and in some places, it doesn't! The best one in my experience is the one that comes with the phone... Other than that, everyone else has some problem or the other!

If you're living in the best country in the world the USA then it won't come with a screen protector. Just a thin clear factory film that has a pull tab on the top right hand corner.
Rumor has it Samsung stopped applying screen protectors to it's devices sold in the USA. Because folks were returning the complete phone or creating mass warranty claims due to marks on the plastic supplied screen protector. Thus Samsung ceased it for this market. Wasn't worth the hassle.
I believe the snapdragon variants don't come with the screen protectors (US models) the Exynos ones do (Non-US models) I personally like whitestone glass protectors (they can be a pain in the ass to get on, but once you get the perfect fit it's like they're not there)

I have the snapdragon version which came with a pre installed screen protector (got the phone a week ago). The pre installed protector is pretty good but I replaced it with an amfilm glass protector which is amazing!

They don't come with screen protector. But I'm sure yours will, I feel it inside my bones.
