Greetings, this is a general question and some direction is needed here as I am a noob to all this.
I own the Wing and have read that it is an HTC Atlas........is this correct?
or is it an HTC Herald? which is it?
I would like to unlock the phone to use it on Cingular if poss. but dont know what forum to look under for info about the phone, ROMs, etc.
And I dont know where to look to get the instructions to unlock it.
Would someone please be so kind as to point me in the right direction for info on this phone etc, link to me instructions to unlock this specific device: and from there on out I wont wander aimlessly around the forums wondering what doggone phone thread to read. This will be my first ever unlock attempt when find the info and I dont want to have to take out "Mr. Happy" (my pet name for my claw hammer) and unlock it that way................. The Wing is the sim-locked version of the Atlas, they have the same specs, but only the Sim and CID lock are different (and the looks) But you can use any Herald upgrade, (if you have your CID removed). (Herald is the first and original HTC p4350, but with WM5)
I see, thanks. But in regards to the CID and SIM unlock where would I read about this, ya know the specific instructions for this model phone so I dont ruin the damn thing. I dont know what programs to use and/or if said programs used for unlocking are specific to the Wing. Any ideas on how to remove the CID/SIM issue, cause I can see myself using this as a paperweight without step by step instructions. LOL.

And then compare the Atlas with Herald or Terra = you will see they are the same BUT with different codename.

But remember i brick my device WITH imeicheck done before. I couldn´t flash another ROM. But they said - it will work and they don´t know what went wrong for me.

Not yet. But i had to let it repaired by service because of loose batterycover, etc. so i hope it is also flashed again.

Nope - it only works for Wizard.
just transfer this file to my documents in your PHONE run it and enjoy.

you do realise that you're trying to flash the patched Hermes SPL to your device... I suggest using my proper unlocker, this is potentially suicide

This is not suicide but still you will need the radio patcher that Olipro made, you thought that the unlocker Olipro made was not the one made the Cheetah sim-unlock? well, i tell you, YOU ARE WRONG!!! Olipro's Cheetah unlocker is the one responsible why your Cheetah sim-unlock. (and also thaks POF for the HERM Unlocker for the 3rd Step for the Cheetah Unlocking Process.)
Just tried it out. Yep its a sure deal. Worked like a charm well... along with the first two steps from cheetah.

Direct unlock with HERM unlocker will not work.
Direct unlock with HERM unlocker will not work. unless you can use the 2 steps of olipro's cheetah unlocker. i am sure for that coz i have lots of treo 750 unlocked count is 37 cheetahs. thanks olipro and pof.

I think you have to have flash patched radio to unlock - try Olipro unlocker - works great.

I am trying to run the Hard-SPL on my Tmobile HTC Touch Pro 2. I have tried and get this error msg. ""Hard-SPL is for non-commercial purposes only, we have detected that you appear to already have unlocked another device, if you wish to unlock commercially, please e-mail [email protected] or [email protected] to discuss solutions" . I downloaded this program from http://thewingster.com/howflashtp2rom.aspx web site.
I have emailed the two people that it refers to but no answer. I am assuming that they are the people that wrote that software. Is there another version of the Hard-SPL that i can use so I can start experiencing the windows mobile 6.5 ROM (cooked roms)? and LOST. HELP!

hello so i have this problem were i cant hard spl the new tp2 i just got from tmobile asi ihad to return the other one cause it wouldnt charge, now icant hard spl my 2nd tp2 and read that i have to donate to be able to hardspl again, i think this is retarded because it never tells you that you can only hardspl once..
ive tryed doing it on other computers but it says that they have "detected" i have already hard spl another device..
so if there is a way please help me out

Try PM'ing Olipro and/or Cmonex, i wasn't aware of this as my TP2 came with it pre loaded (Second hand)
This is in their post about Hard-spl. You can request for more license. do NOT pm them about it as it says in the last line!
important: again, don't forget, it's like with topaz - each user gets 1 license, or perhaps 2-3 on request if needed (which is valid forever and all this works as transparently as possible, so won't be a problem at all), while businesses who need to unlock more devices than that, can purchase it.
PM cmonex or use http://support.htc-unlocks.com if you want to discuss bulk unlocking.

HTC Imagio SIM Unlocker (yeah yeah, it also does CID and SECURITY) sorted, enjoy the usual boilerplate text:

Yes, it works with US SIM cards. I have a T-Mobile SIM card in mine right now.
Ok well one issue. To all who like to have you .nbh file in the SD card so u can flash from the card, that will throw off step 2 in the unlocker. You have to delete your .nbh file from the SD.. just an fyi............. or it will try to reflash your own rom .

thanks a lot, I'll add this to my list of support tips
You can also hit the vol-down button when the dialog comes up to flash the ROM on the card. It will take it back to bootloader and then you can flash from the USB cable.
Just used the tool and it worked! Really appreciate the hard work.
I did run into a few issues though, I am fairly certain that has nothing to do with your software though. It would go through to flash the Radio, but it stayed at 0% and gave the flashing error. Then when I rebooted it went in and Unlocked.
Maybe Verizon updated the SPL since December, but your software still works! Thanks again!!!
Anyone interested in SIM unlocking their HTC Imagio (many other models as well), the Olipro SIM unlocker tool works perfectly. I just unlocked my HTC Imagio and it was very easy.
It also will install HSPL if needed.
Highly recommended.
