try to hard reset the device , this is her guide HTC Alpine hard reset
To perform a full reset
A full device reset clears memory, deletes all data, and restores the Pocket PC Phone to its default settings. Programs installed at the factory remain. All data that you have created and programs you have installed are erased.
Press and hold the Power button, and then use your stylus to press the “soft reset button” at the same time, as shown below. Be sure you have backed up all your data on an SD card or on a desktop PC before performing a full reset. after you hard reset the device, connect to a USB sync and you Flash Room again All you have to remember, allow usb connection .... and not disabled its usb connection Okey if you still have problems you can contact me

Do i need to go into bootloader mode first before flashing?? Cause what i did was, connect it the comp, and while it is stil connected with windows mobile device centre and the phone is still in windows mobile desktop, then i run the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe, and halfway upgrading, it just turn off n go back to bootloader mode...and then after that, it auto black out after each autoconfiguration.
And by Flash Rom, do you mean just run the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe with all the files in it?? or there is something else i should do???
Sorry for my ignorance And ur guidance will be very much appreaciated!!!!

EnterBL.exe should reboot the device into bootloader only, Activesync should disable then. You can access bootloader manually, it's more safe

Now i managed to get into bootloader mode and upgrade it.. but the upgrade hangs halfway, the progress stays at 0% and saying it's upgrading radio, but always failed. What's should i do pls?

I am wanting to updrage my rom for my HTC Touch HD and there are tick boxes saying that make sure u perfom these before you update:
Battery over 50%
ActiveSync
connect phone to computer using USB
Disable the standyby on PC
after i click click next and do the steps the process gets stucked on 0% buth on phone and computer and after few minutes it says error
So i am sure that i have done all those but not to sure if my phone was in Activesync mode or not.
When the phone is turned on and connected to the computer connects using Activesync fine but when i turn the phone off and go on Bootloader mode connection is lost (as soon as i turn the device off)
so can someone please help how to activesync on bootloader mode
UPDATE:
I did HSPL and then BlackstoneRUUWrapper and now its working (its not getting stuck on 0%) and actually % is increasing
Everyone Thanks in Advance. I will tell you all when its done.
If it says USB when you connect to the pc while in bootloader mode, you're good to go
ye it says USB at the bottom of the screen but the process always stays at 0% then after a while it gives Error
wich rom do you want to instal and have you instald hspl?

connect ur phone directly in boot loader rather than thru active sync..
Run the USPL 2..
and then start the rom flash.
jus tick all the req fields in the RUU.(be in the bootloader) cos it makes no difference..
this is all assuming u have win XP or Vista with the req drivers.
cheers
chetan
Have you followed all of the steps in the Dummies Guide to flashing? (See link in my signature.)
The fact that you are able to connect to Activesync is fine. There is no need to be in Activesync whilst flashing and while in bootlaoder mode.
Have you read through the tutorial thread? There is a troubleshooter faq there. I did my first flash using it yesterday with no problems at all
Please read and post future queries on flashing in this tutorial/guide thread

You don't need to sync phone to flash. Just put phone into bootloader, connect it via usb cable to pc. (bottom of bootloader should change from 'serial' to 'usb') and then run ruu.exe file

Need assistance please

Hi,
I have a Rhodium and so far I have successfully flashed a lot of Roms untill today...
I am trying to flash another Rom via ActiveSync, so I have connected my phone to my PC, than run the CustomRuu.exe like always, but I am stuck at 0%.
I decided to flash using the SDCard and renamed the ruu_signed.nbh to RHODIMG.nbh and than I´ve enter in the BootLoader Mode, the device tries to load the Rom, but I´ve got a white screen saying "loading..." and stays like this forever.
I cannot even HardSPL the device. I run the Rhodium-HardSPL_V2_00R3.exe but i can not get the device properly synced.
I though I had an internal memory problem so I´ve formated it using a new tool found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...12&postcount=1.
But now I´ve lost everything and I can not flash any Rom with activesync, always the same problem, stuck at 0% and then the message - "Error [276] : update error.", and if I flash from SDcard a white screen saying "loading..." and stays like this forever.
EDIT:
Can not HardSPL automatic flash, because could not get the device properly synced.
Can not HardSPL with Manual flash, stuck at 0% and then the message - "Error [276] : update error.#
Any help please.
Thanks

Then I assume you already have hard-spl on your device installed. So trying to install it again will fail.
*Go into BootLoader Mode (do a Soft Reset while holding the "volume down" key on the left side of the device. Keep holding the "volume down" key until you see tricolour screen which is the bootloader mode, then release it) and verify the screen shows 0.85.OliNex, which is the HardSPL version* Is this the hard-spl version that you have?
You didn't mention which rom you tryed to flash. Did you try other roms?

Thanks for your reply,
Yes , you are right I have already HardSPL installed - SPL-0.85.0linex.
I have tried several Roms even the Rhodium stock Rom. If I flash via activesync I get stuck at 0% and if I flash from the SDCard (RHODIMG.nbh) I get a white screen saying "loading...." with no action.
This is strange as I´ve flash so many roms so far
Have you reset both your device and computer before connecting?
Just leave it in Bootloader mode and connect it to your computer and then try flashing.
As long as you put the device in bootloader mode, you do not have to get it to sync. I've done this many times when a flash didn't go right for some reason (like I forgot something when I cooked it ).

I did both things with no luck.
I have put the device in bootloader mode connected to the computer then I´ve run the customRUU.exe but I am always stuck at 0%
This is the info I have in the tricolor screen:
RHOD100 32M SS-BC
SPL-0.85.0linex
MicroP(LED) 0x0A
MicroP(KEY) 0x04
TURBO HW/TURBO SW
TP MFG DATA
501,529 794,848
797,208 217,213
210,853 Calibrated
I will put the device in the AC power all night to see if this is a battery issue.
Thanks

I would try this first as posted by jeanrivera.
Also maybe you're customruu is somehow broken? Try downloading a new one. Also I don't know if it helps but when you flash via customruu do you have the image named ruu_signed.nbh? I don't know if it matters what kind of name it has, but it's just a thought

I need help!!!! pls!!!

I tried to upgrade my xda alpine IIi, but i think i flashed it with an unsuitable rom, "alpine-1.11.171-radio-1.04-bluetooth-patched-camera-fixed", now it's in a screen with "SERIAL v1.01". But i think i didnt flashed it in bootloader mode as i cannot go into bootloader mode...
I read the forums n some said i'l just need to reflash it, but my comp wont detect my alpine n it wont go into bootloader mode...so what should i do now??
And i tried using SD 512mb method, it wont work als...
And i realised one thing, whenever i plug in the charger, and then unlock the battery lock with the battery already in it...there wil b a red light, n when i lock it back, the red light turns yellow and the O2 splash screen came out, and it start installing all the stuffs, but after all the installation it died out agn...but during the installation, it can be detected by my comp, other than tat it cant be detected..... help!!!
I also tried to install back the original rom of xda IIi when the O2 splash screen came out(when it can be detected by my comp), but it says the rom image is unsuitable....
Help!!! pls!!!
Or is there anyway to re-flash it without going into bootloader mode? or anyway to get rid of the current version of window that is inside there now and then install a new window inside?

U must have installed actvievsync 4.2 on ur desktop and windows xp(u can use virtual machine).
First of all disable "USB connection" in connection settings of ActiveSync,
After that connect ur device to PC via usb, "Serial" must be changed to "Usb".
Run Task manager(ctrl+alt+del) and kill processes "wcescomm" и "wcesmgr" if it is working.
Run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe program and flash ur device using following instructions.
but i did not go into bootloader mode while i flashed it...i just connect it to my comp using windows mobile device centre and the run the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe....so did i flashed it? or i didnt???

Where did you learn from that way ..? Can you give her evidence.. ? try read from some of the small sample 22 Sept 2008
Monet SSPL 1.05 aka JumpSPL 1.05 by jockyw2001
1, Run the SDA Application Unlock.exe, it will greet you with "SDA successfully unlocked".
2, Turn off your Monet and remove the storage card.
3, Turn your Monet on and connect it to active sync/windows mobile device center.
4, From the Monet SSPL-JumpSPL folder run SSPL.bat. Follow the on screen step by step instructions. Press enter through the prompts which you have already completed in steps 1-3. On your Monet mobile you “may” be prompted to allow "JumpSPL" to run, press yes. On running JumpSPL your screen will go black, grey or white with the backlight on dim. (note all going well the screen will remain in this white state until step 5 has completed).
5, Now run the RUU updater and flash the USBL.nbh
You’re done! You can now flash any ROM or ROM part You can learn more in the WIKI
OMG, my way is purest true!!!!!
I have tried my way with enable "allow usb connections", so upgrading is not work.
When "usb connections" is disable, than all work pretty well!!!!
U do not know anything about flashing htc alpine, so did not learn me what i know!!! Ok? Nbh is not Alpine format of rom.
U wrote wrong instruction in the previous post!
Hakim Rahman is noob. Remember this everyone!!!!!
Thx guys for the help!! Now i managed to get into bootloader mode and upgrade it.. but the upgrade stops halfway, the progress is always 0% and saying it's upgrading radio, but always failed. What's wrong???

[Q] HELP: Stuck in bootloader or no USB

Hi All,
from one moment to another my X1 decided to boot into bootloader mode.
The strange thing is however, that when I connect it to the USB of my PC and reset the X1, it boots normally. Well, almost normal as the USB doesn't seem to be working.
I flashed the rom to APP-SW_X1_GENERIC_UK_1213-6450_R3AA010__KOVS using the SDCard and that worked without a problem. But still the X1 boots into bootloader mode (except when connected to the PC).
I tried a hardreset, pressed the volume down button several times (to make sure it isn't stuck), tried to use MTTY (but that doesn't show a prompt), but nothing seems to help.
Is there anyone who can help me with this, because I'm out of ideas....
Update:
I managed to boot the OS (USB connected) and install HSPL using Xperia-SSPL-Manual. This succeeded and I now have SPL-0.78.OliNext. I flashed the phone to a new ROM (826x_KOVSKY_29017_2021), and that succeeded as well. It didn't solve my problem however. I still get the bootloader screen when I start the phone and can only start the OS by starting with USB connected...
Update2:
Yesterday evening I took the whole phone apart to make sure no buttons are/were stuck. Didn't find anything, put it back together and it still boots into bootloader.
I also managed to get a connection to the phone using NueTTY. I executed command Set 14 0, restarted the phone...and still it boots into bootloader.
If there is any one who knows of something that I haven't tried yet, PLEASE let me know....

hi, I'm kind of having the same issue as you do..can you please be of help and tell me how did you manage to HSPL it to 0.78.OliNex?
Correct me If I am wrong, but you must copy Xpera_SSPL_Manual. exe on X1, run it from file explorer and then run X1_HardSPL.exe on your PC, whlie X1 is connected via usb (although mine also doesn't recognize the X1) ?
i would really apreciate it... thnx
i have the same problem guys, did anyone of you found any solution for this?
same problem
Have you tried to do a task29 with KovskyAdvancedRUU?
