As far as I know the drivers will still be in git tree for the kernel, and they were turned off in builds for some reason around May 2010.
Even if they were removed you can recover them by going to the correct time in git and checking out that branch.

I assume you want a USB TCP/IP network, this was working under Linux to Linux. I did not succeed in Linux to Android, but that does not say it cannot be done.
use Linux/Ubuntu OS - No Problems with USB ))) or u can run VMWare and run port of linux and usb will work too
You must use the SDK-Windows Drivers..
You can install from the Android SDK (you must select-> USB DRIVER).

I have the hardest time getting my computer to use the right driver for ADB. When I setup my wife's phone on a vista-64 operating system I first connected with USB enabled and it took me a week of trial-and-error to get the system to use the ADB driver (I don't know the steps that made it work - but it involved several attempts at uninstalling every USB device).
I just got another G1 for a Windows-7 laptop (64-bit) and I did the same thing (hooked up with the USB driver) and I fear another week of trial and error. I know that if I knew what I was doing I could do it in 10-minutes.
Can someone please provide the step-by-step instructions for having it use the ADB driver once it has already found, and is happy with, the regular USB driver? I'm not even sure how to tell which of my multiple installed USB [devices] is for the phone.

Step 2. Download the SDK and put it in a directory (I use "Android")
install the sdk from http://developer.android.com/sdk/download.html?v=android-sdk_r05-windows.zip
let it update (make sure that usb drivers are selected for download)
plug your phone in
if the drivers aren't automatically installed, point it to the drivers directory (<sdk>\usb_driver)
if your sdk is already installed, just download the drivers using the steps described here http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html

You should use Neopeeks builds(superfroyo , CM 6.0 , Cm6.1 , FRG83) if you want to connect phone and pc .
ok,thank you very much.Are you use X1 Android for daily use or just for test and have some fun? Anyway,I find the x1 android system getting better and smoother.I am a college student ,not have so much money to buy a new cellphone.X1 still can do a good job.
It looks nepeek's builds have working USB, however I can't get it to re-mount after connecting to my computer, so you still have to reboot if you want to access any contents on your card..
You cannot use mass storage, only adb mode. At least i can't.

you can, neopeek's builds seem to work. But it won't mount the SD card after you're finished. Just be sure to disable USB debugging.
Me too.I can not sync with my pc, can not sync with mac osx too. why?
In pc,i had install android driver,but software can not find my phone, in mac can find, but can not sync.
There is no USB sync in android. At least not without 3rd party software.

I installed xdandroid 2.2.1 and everything works fine (except camera i saw that this is fixed with karnel update but I don't know how to do that) and i can't connect usb to PC.
I try install driver with Android SDK but it can't install CDC Abstract Control Model and CDC ACM Data drivers. On notification bar say that USB is connected and USB debugging is connected .Also I install HTC Sync it install all drivers except CDC Abstract Control Model and CDC ACM Data.
I also done this :
adb and usb debugging
To ensure that you are able to use adb and usb debugging you will need to plug in your usb cable to your computer and in winmo select activesync. Now launch haret and once Android is loaded you'll see a notification that will notify you have usb-debugging control and able to use adb.

I try to connect my HTC Touch with my PC; windows 7 x64 but nothing happen
computer doesn't see the phone. Tried in recovery mode but doesn't connect. always loop with something like:
"usb: set adresse 2"
"android_usb gadget: full speed config #1: android"
etc
any help would be appreciate.
Since I do not have phone plan and want to use it as a personal agenda I really need to be able to sync it with my pc

Did you flash this phone to a newer kernel? If I recall, the .32 version kernels do not allow USB connectivity as of yet. You'd have to go back to a .25 kernel (and update the modules after flashing) in order to get USB working again.

Your .32 kernel will allow you to connect to a Linux PC, though, I connect mine to a 64-bit Ubuntu machine regularly to add music files.

hello to all devs and sorry if my english isn't good, i'm using the latest Nova HD rom (RC30-73) and i need to use adb, but i can't get a working driver.
i tried the wifi adb and it work fine, but i need the usb adb.

I think there are no USB drivers for ICS from LG
You can get it to work by assigning the Google USB Drivers to the unknown device in the device manager. It works flawlessly then but you have to do this again for every system reboot.
Maybe a driver guy could add the 2x's device ID into the usb driver to increase the compatibility.
