Is this the best camera on market - Camera ZOOM

Is anyone else using this - its getting loads of updates right now and its very close on features already to Snap Photo (timer, white balance, filters, horizon, stability, etc).
It started off with just 4x digital zoom and was kind of basic, but a few updates later, its looking pretty cool.
Its also really quick and easy to use, so I'm sticking with it for now and hoping they do the few last features that it still needs like burst mode and pre-focus, etc.
The devs are very helpful and have already included one of my ideas into the last update.

You can choose your own shutter skins and borders too and it has some cool animations.
Also have a look at Camera Pro - its also a good contender for best camera app, also lots of updates and new features - although I can't find a website for that.

Just discovered androidslide released a picture frame pack!
They're really cool borders, they work straight away in the app - nice!
I think the Snap Photo did a good zoom - shame Camera ZOOM doesn't do trackball but its got a cool circular zoom and they'll probably add it soon I hope?
But if you want a really professional camera app with all the features and not hidden options screens, check this one out ... simply amazing!

Thanks for the positive feedback - glad you are both enjoying the app. There's much more to come and we're always looking for ideas from the people who use Camera ZOOM, so keep the ideas coming.
We came up with the app to meet the need in the market for a quality camera app which featured digital zoom and tried to design something fun and easy to use. Since the original release, we have added many more features and are very happy with the application's progress.

Great to see you on this thread! Still loving your app, it really is a great piece of work and so much easier to use than any of the other camera apps.
So I'll get the ball rolling with feature requests :
- Can you add variable shutter speeds?
- More borders - maybe like a Star Wars theme?
- Trackball controls would be great too
Thats all I can think of now - as the app does so much already.

wouldn't be surprised if this was the top app for android in a few weeks!!!

Minor point but could you make the zoom controls more sensitive or option to change sensitivity. I noticed Snap does a quicker zoom which I think I prefer, but not everyone might.

Been playing with this a lot. Pretty much perfect, but I think it needs auto save option and on screen shutter button. Any chance these could be added?

Damn the forums and their positive reviews!
On average I would say 1 out of 4 purchases I make I am happy with a month later, the other 3 end up cluttering my market. I hope this will be one of the good ones!

i've found SnapPhoto meets my needs. How is this better? [apart from some dodgy looking picture frames!]

I like SnapPhoto too but am finding Camera ZOOM much easier to use - I don't have to guess what the strange icons all mean. Some of the borders here need work but some are actually really good. I'm getting regular free skin packs and the dev seems to do real updates to the app, not just tweaks like Snap has been doing for a long while (apart from the Snap zoom which is v nice).
This app also has shutter animations and circular zoom which I've not seen in SnapPhoto, unless I've missed it. Snap has better post-photo editing, but tbh, I tend to do that kind of stuff in Photoshop or not at all.

I'm coming from snaphoto too, my brother turned me onto this and it is so much easier. quicker start time i feel too. I just like the ease of use and I am very much a photo opportunist. I don't take many pictures, but when i do they need to be fast, lol. The best camera app imo and you can see from the developer's many responses here that it is made with dilligence and care. U DOWNLOAD NOW OR NO PICTURE 4 U!

This is by far the not the best app This dev dedexxed Snap photo and stole almost everything from the DEV down to even using the exact same mp3s the original dev used in his app.

The accusation that I stole mp3's from Snap Photo Pro is ridiculous. The mp3 in question that Bratag has accused me of stealing is taken from a copyright free sound library.
We are aiming Camera ZOOM as a fun, easy camera with innovative features and it has been built from the ground up. We wanted to include all the usual camera features, plus we have added many original features of our own :
Digital zoom (first on Android)
Circular zoom wheel
Iris animation with FREE skins
Quick settings including reset all
Famous ‘buddys’ in your pics!
We are always looking to improve the product in response to your feedback.

This seems like a very good app. Been using it for a few days. For some reason, the only aspect that doesn't work is when I have it save in the "default" image folder, it doesn't seem to save it anywhere. Only when I select CameraZOOM it saves it in the CameraZOOM folder.
I have used a search of my sdcard and file systems - and they are just not saving anywhere.

Its not just about credit. That list with links is a huge generator of traffic to the forum and took a lot of time and effort to create.
It should not be copied without a link back, its probably the forums most valuable asset!

I don't know anything about that other site... But I do know the administrators and members (myself included) over at Xoomforums spent alot of time creating this list and keeping it updated.

Good job, but in regards to IMDB's app, it doesn't look optimized for tablets at all. Unlike the iPad version, which looks amazing, this simply looks to be the phone app.
