Well, if you've read all the threads and all the wiki and understood them, I'm surprised you need to know were to go now!!
Best place to start if your looking to flash a new rom, is to read up on the particular rom you want in its thread and then try it out. But if you've already read up on these you would surely already know that, no?
To flash any new rom or radio you gonna need either USPL or HSPL. Info on these in the wiki (which you've already read) and also in cRaCKwHoRe's guide in my signature.
The best way to know which is best suited for you is to read up on each and try them out!!

Hello,
Congrats ! and welcome to the club.
1. I would suggest you to Go through all the WIKI Documents to understand what is Flashing and other Technical Terms.
2. At least try to learn about HSPL, USPL, and Radio Etc.
3. After reading all this ask yourself whether you are comfortable syncing the Windows Mobile with your computer.
4. If you are ready, then really ask yourself whether you need to flash the Cooked Rom or better to stick with Shipped Rom.
If you made up your mind to go for Cooked Rom. All you need is to use HSPL or USPL and flash the desired cooked Rom.
Infact everyone was noob before they try including me… So cheers and Happy Flashing
Note: I preferred to use HSPL 1.56 and Dutty’s 3.3 cooked Rom.
oh thanks guys , i just tried out to flash rom using USPL , it's cool , haha
thankks btw

**** small question ****

Hello
first of all thnx for takin the time to help me
my question is .. im using Kid's ROM which is a WM6.5
If i want to flash it to TouchIt (which uses r3aa as a base)
do i need to flash my Xperia to r3aa & then flash it to TouchIt ? ..
Is flashing ROMs has anything to do with the ROM im using right now ? or its all good flash my Xpeariz a$$ off >?
thnx alot
cheersPS: sorry if i started the thread in the wrong section
Hi!
No, you can directly flash the TouchIt (if you have hardspl, but if you already have a custom rom this is not a problem).
You can flash it again and again and again...only thing I would suggest is a hard reset after switching to another rom....
Regards,
WC
Perfect .. thnx alot guys

I owned HTC Touch HD and loved it with EnergyHD ROM and using HardSPL… want to know if I want to go back to original ROM that HTC made and is there download for original HTC Touch HD ROM? And can I still use HardSPL or I have to remove that as well?
Cheers

well u can download it from the htc site or from the wiki.
if u go back to stock , the spl included in the rom takes over the hspl. this is the case if the spl is bundled with the rom.. in some cases it is not. in such a case download the stock spl and flash it to ur device.
if you look / search quite a bit, you would reliaze that your answer in front of you...

All stock roms are available in the wiki here. Guidance on how to return to stock rom can also be found on bottom of first post in this thread. More info is also available in the wiki.
This question has been asked many times before, so no need to create a new thread for it. All you needed to do was use the search function.
Any future correspondence or queries on this matter should be posted in thread link above.

Sometimes Frozen ! I wonder what i need ?

I know i should read all threads. But to make this clear i should know what am i supposed to look for.
I was familiar with HTC but suddenly changed my mind and bought X1.i think its better then HTC in some or most ways.
Only problem is it freezes sometimes and some programs did not react as they should.
Here is details of my X1
Rom : 1.02.161.7
Radio : 1.06.25.29
Can you guide me to speed up and be updated.
Thanx
hi mate.welcome to yhe windows mobile world
your rom is out of date so you must update your rom from sony ericson web site that will bring your rom to latest one.initial x1 rom has a lots of bugs.so you can start from rom update.good luck.
ps:for official rom update you do not need hard spl...
thnx Bro
I'll start with the radio.Radio upgrading will be start.Next step probably going to be custom rom.I start reading all the threads about them.
Regards
Have fun flashing!

Custom rom + make sure the pagepool is 16-20mb. You can change it with the pagepool utility and the .nbh rom image.
