My "Go-Box"... Traveling with my SGP - Galaxy Tab Accessories

Here is the set up that I created for my SGP.
I picked up the Incipio 2 piece hard/soft case from the T-Mo dealer, installed Ghost Armor on the screen and use a waterproof and pressure released hard shell case with foam interior for it.
The case also houses my Cygnett BT wireless keyboard and power supply/USB cable.
Works very well for me. I just wish there was a car dock available that would allow the use of the case that I have.

Cool, but why would possibly need that much protection? Where the hell do you travel to? lol
Are you using the tab as a primary device, if so, is that case too bulky?

Well lets see, my travel list for the next three months includes, but is not limited to:
Los Angeles
Washington DC
Arlington VA / Norfolk VA
New York
Kabul, Afghanistan
Jalalabad, Afghanistan
Kandahar, Afghanistan
And quite possibly a few other even more exotic locations
Lets just say I dont carry it to the office with me, and its not my primary device. I have my MBP, My G2 and my Iridium 9555.

This is me at about 4 years old. I found a small white packet that looked like a sugar packet. It had a skull and crossbones on it - which is either the international symbol for POISON or for PIRATE CANDY! Being 4, I didn't know about the poison thing.
Let's just say pirates don't have good taste in candy.
Very nice................hahahahaha
here's mine
when i was 3, i used to watch my mom taking a bag and going out and then coming back after some time with the bag full of veggies, and other daily stuff.
one sunday (i now know it was sunday as dad was home) when dad and mom were asleep, i took the same bag and headed nowhere(i didn't know where my mom used to go)
i just though there will be 'somebody' who'll put the same stuff inside and i'll be back.
after many hours passed, my dad was out in the locality to trace me and finally found me at the police station where a i was standing with a cop who held me after he seeing a 3yr old walking alone on the roadside.
........by the way my dad confessed to me one day that the cop also angrily reminded my dad of his responsibility towards his family and especially his little son who thinks he is a grown up.
haha - that's a great looking MS Paint Cop!
I always knew this site was crawling with somethingawful.com goons.......

I think this is sooooooooooo funny

At first glance, we actually gagged upon seeing the jacket pictured above. Immediately after regaining our composure, we wondered how on Earth such a magnificent piece of retro kit could have such a negative impact on our lives -- then, it hit us. It's the dude. Seriously. Strap this $200, limited run jacket on anyone even remotely beautiful and we'd bet you too would see things differently. Or maybe it is just obscenely tacky, but it'd be much less so on anyone other than this fellow.
maybe that is the look of the target buyer?

Someone's lost their job, thanks to Engadget. At this time of record unemployment, as well .

My basically "free" homemade stand - STURDY!

So I wanted a stand but didn't want to spend money because I am broke right now. Had some scraps and some crafting tools laying around so I went to work. I measured it all out so that it doesn't stick out past the smallest dimensions of the Nook itself so it is pretty sleek. Added bonus, kind of happy accident is that all the buttons are accessible while in the stand and the speaker isn't being blocked so now I can use it as my primary alarm and it is plenty loud enough to wake me up. Before I had it face down with the speaker on the floor so I couldn't really hear it so I never used it as an alarm until now. The result was a nice looking, extremely light basically weightless and extremely sturdy Nook stand!!!
List of items:
1 Exacto knife and blade
1 piece of leftover foamcore or posterboard as some might call it
1 hot glue gun
1 leftover locktite
1 straightedge ruler
My final price = $0.00
This only ends up being free if you have these things laying around or you can get them free somewhere. otherwise if you have to buy any of this stuff you might as well buy a stand off ebay or something.

Nice! I just use the stand on the bottom of the box the nook came with.
Awesome work! Congratulations on your DIY stand!
Please post the measurements that you used

1 time run of custom exotic wood docks

I made 5 docks for the Galaxy Tab, this is a one time run, I am not doing this again, not for awhile that is, so...get them while they are here.
Each one is different, here are the builds.....
Every dock has a solid one piece base.
Every Dock was milled from.....a log by me, absolutely NO store purchased wood.
No metal fasteners.
First time run, so I myself can find every imperfection, however other people who have seen them just love them.
Made with some very rare....and exotic woods

Very Nice!

Decalskin.com 3M Vinyl skin for the Nexus S and 4G.

I'm not much on "phone-bling" and this is the first time I have even thought about putting a skin on my phone, but while perusing e-bay, I stumbled across this skin and really liked it. It was only $7.95 shipped, so I figured why the hell not.
Once they arrived (Got one for my dad's LG Ally as well), I was pleased to find they are made with the 3M Controltac vinyl and not some el-cheapo stuff you find on other skins. The skins went on without much fuss and (to me) look very nice. Decalskins, of course have several different designs to choose from, but this is the one I liked the most. They also allow you to download a free wallpaper to match.
The skin works fine with my clear snap on case as well. All-in-all I'm pretty happy. Of course it goes without saying, this doesn't offer much in the way of protection. But it does make the phone less slick, and as I said above, it works with the clear cases you can find on Amazon and eBay. NOTE: It does hide the bottom touch key lights, so this probably isn't of use to those running BLN. But it doesn't affect operation at all.
I know it's not everybody's cup of tea, and that's fine, but I figured I'd throw a quick review up for those interested.

I bough one from geliskins and I though it will make it less slippery but it was the opposite. Is it any better?

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with Gelaskins, but I can tell you, this skin is a lot less slippery than just the stock back. I swear that thing can be used as a non-stick baking sheet.
