1st off thanks to the thread starter, 2nd am I correct in going here for Chevron and here for XAP ? Im not new to this but I am new to working in the WP7 world. Thanks in advance.

yeah i downloaded the sdk, but im still getting error on chevron unlockr.
and in regedit, the values where the same as previous post, it didnt need changing...but still error.
any idea?

kill skype if you use it
take a look on your host file:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
remove entries developerservices.windowsphone.com
and retry.

the entry does not exists and skype is killed....its giving me a headache.

yes but remember don't forget to first install this:
I vaguely recall seeing something about the WP7 OS not supporting mobile hot spot or tethering yet...
Is that correct?
I ask because I use the tether a lot.

not supported yet .
not only tethering, also bluetooth pairing is only available to headsets and no file transfer.

this installation will take a long time rite?? the second content itself is 384MB.. are there anything we can do apart from installing SDK this way??? arent they just one component that we can download this install xap??

No, it's a "1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6" tabs version

Hi guys,
I just installed the .cab. But I can not find a file to start-up HTC home.
Am I completly stupid because can't get it started??
Plz help, I do have still WM05 running, I do not know if this is a problem.

It's a Today screen plugin, you can turn it on in Today Items setup.
I also looked there, but I do not have anything there what looks like HTC.
Items I have are:
- Date
- Wireless
- Owner Info
- Messaging
- Tasks
- Calendar
- cLaunch
- TomTom
- Devicelock
Nothing related to HTC
I do have a HTC Home dir on the root, but there are only picture files..
Any suggestions???

It should be so
The program itself is in \Windows directory.
SR does nothing, I found the .exe file in the /windows dir.
However this gives an error for start...
I tried to re-install but this gives also no solution....

Well, generally the main program file for a today plugin is a .dll file.
Hm, I was using Home under wm5, but an older version, not this one. It seems like this one is not working under wm5
I'll try to find an older version.

Hi. I know I'm gonna look a bit dim with this, and I have tried searching the forums but no joy so... How do I install this on my phone? Its an xdaii with WM2006. I've unzipped it and tried running the setup file on the pc and on the xda but IE stops it at first until told to let it run, then nothing happens and nothing happens when I run it on the xda either. It removes the requirement for some applications to be digitally signed.
would be nice if the "action screen" is also on the cube, for a new sms , email ....

If have the mda vario 3 aka tytn2, It just dont work..I installed both..but all I get is 2 programs with settings
i installed htc cube and it works perfectly!
only after the install i lost the quick contacts on my home screen? anyway to get them back?

Ok I changed this to have a few of my first apps in it including some I thought was not worth putting in at first like a flashlight app makes you screen bright white so that you can use your phone as a mini flash lite in dark rooms, and you double click teh screen to exit right the app cause it runs in fullscreen, right now now it doesn't change your backlight level, but it still helps. also there is a number selector, you can decide a minamum number and a max number and it will pick a random number in beetweens thse when you click the button on the window, and also a test to see how fast you can tap the screen lol
Even though I had absolutely no problems and dont think it is even possible for something like this to do any damage to a phone I am not responsible for anything I just made this app because I like xda and want to help as much as I can.
btw I really would appreciate feedback

OH and almost forgot they will all be in program files not the start menu

Strange... What browser / OS are you using? Was there any error message? Did the "Manage Attachments" window show the file at the top after the upload complete?

oh I was clikcing the wrong file lol sorry I uploaded it now.
sorry I made some last minute changes before I posted it and didnt test it so if you donwlaoded it earlier it wont work lol but now it will I tested it too

Not working for me either, if I go to file explorer, my device, program files, I can see them all, but when I try to open them it says "This application requires a newer version of the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device." Then says quit on the bottom right.

sorry this took so long lol I gave up hope anyone would actually click on that thread lol but yes there is a software, I use microsoft visual studio, and it does require some knowledge of codes but there are books and guides to help u learn and I think almost anyone in the world is capable of learning but I dont try that hard so Im not that good but my pc apps are alot better. BTW In visualk stuidio you can use the same language for phones as pc's I use visual basic

If you choose windows, then the program will exit, and for the rest, you will have to set the path before. As soon as I can, I will try to make it and upload it here with the sources.
But now, can anyone send me the three images for Windows Phone 6.5, Rhobuntu and XDandroid, please?

This is a first public beta of Registry Editor for Windows Phone 7
Registry Editor for WP7 is a nice and full-featured registry editor and works on all WP7 devices, you can explore and search registry, create/edit/delete registry keys and values.
Registry Editor is for advanced users only, be careful using it, you have a full access to the registry, so deleting or modifying some values may result in unstable or unusable system.

Ok I found a way should be instal old version app. For Advanced Config Tools is v. 1.3 for Registry Editor is v. 1.1.0.0. After install, we have apps in the apps list in menu from we can unistall (and we haven't in settings).

It's possible by using CoreCon API (from PC side). BTW, someone need to create simple desktop app.
It´s easy to uninstall:

as you figured out there is no straight forward way to uninstall the newly installed apps from the settings page on Mango. I successfully uninstalled with XAPDeployX. Sideload the xap again and check "force uninstall if application is already installed". Then click deploy. The program will uninstall the existing one on the device first and report this in the deploy tool with a success message. Right then you unplug the phone from the USB. Voila - it is now uninstalled and gone from settings.
Or as Budniu posted above, you can install an older version (e.g. v1.3) that will show up in apps. Then you uninstall and it normally and it will be removed from settings as well.
just in case it doesn't work for you and you want to remove it...

because I use htc TITAN (native mango device).
so you need rebuild with Visual Studio 2010 template or delete "<Capability Name="ID_CAP_INTEROPSERVICES"/>" from WMAppManifest.xml please....

Oh, Sorry.
I got success to install registry editor.
I renamed .xap to .zip and edit WMAppManifest.xml.

Which software do you use to deploy the registry editor?
I suppose the "Application Deployment" in WP SDK 7.1 does not allow the deployment of .zip files.
BTW, how can you edit WMAppManifest.xml without other tools? (Or: which tools did you use?)

This one is exactly the same as "Application Deployment", which cannot import Registry Editor onto Titan.
Sweet! Not only did it deploy to my HD2 running Mango, but I was able to do it through the Windows Phone Application Deployment. No cab sender, no XAP application...thanks!
