This is my first real rom and I'm proud to present you...
optimusXrom
This is a pretty slim rom. I removed a lot of apps and added a beautiful Gingerbread-like theme. I also added the overclocking-kernel and did the usual tweaks.

This ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=901417 ) tutorial is pretty easy, just follow each step one by one and you will see how easy romcooking is.
v1.1 will come today or tomorrow. I'm going to do some optical adjustments and add/delete some apps.

How's the battery life compared for example with Megatron ROM? Because I'm pretty happy with the Megatron, but it is always nice to try something different.

Actually it should be the same, but I dont know why but I have a lot more free ram out of the box (300mb in my rom, 250 in void.).

And there it is... optimusXrom v1.1! See first post.

hi domenic_s! big thanks for this rom, i really want to try this ! but could u write a list of deleted apps?

A list of included apps is much easier:
Apps
- Email
- Settings
- Gallery
- Calendar
- Camera
- Contacts
- Market
- Miren Browser
- Music
- News and Weather
- OI Fileexplorer
- SMS/MMS
- Google Search
- Superuser
- Phone
- Thinkfree Office
- Titanium Backup
- Clock
- Videoplayer
- Launcher Pro
Widgets
- Powermanagement
- Market
- Miren Browser
- Music
- News and Weather
- Search
- Titanium Backup

thanks a lot man! flashing now...

Dom I wouldn't use miren as a default browser..after usage I got alot of fcs
Its not that stable..on the plus side dolphin HD is and also fast and free.

hey nice work man, gotta a question though
do u have any benchmark numbers that u can post up? i wanna see performance numbers

Hi Dom.. How's the battery life? because currently I'm using Amber Home, and OC to 787mhz, but the battery drains faster. How about your rom?

I'm also following that guide...thanks! My I suggest replacing the browser with a different one like dolphin. miren is nice bit it always update every time you browse. but all in all nice rom.

@ MikeD215: Acutally i love Miren Browser so I won't replace it, perhaps I remove it, because I don't like Dolphin and all the other Browsers.
@ Badassian: I have no numbers, but they will be equal to the scores of the other roms with the same specs (jit, hwaccel, 40m heapsize, and oc).
@ argel08: Actually I can't see any difference between my rom, void. and LG original firmware.
@ all: Thanks for your replies

Can you write a list of HTC apps that have been removed?
Thanks in advance!
Can't really remember exactly but I'll try to list them down.
A deodexed version for the themers would be nice if not then still nice rom.

It would be nice, but it also wouldn't be "Leaf" anymore because it would be crunching phone memory and slightly slower.
I'm sorry but themers should use WildPuzzleROM instead.

- hotspot don't work
- change lock screen not possible
Thanks!

This is a boring rom, and i am getting bored of the wildfire. Where is the creativity devs, we need a variety. All this roms are the exact same, except for the cyangogen rom. Create something wildly different.
I really like the speed of this ROM, and even after installing a **** load of apps the respond time is amazing.
A really neat job Mate.

Keep in mind that I'm not a ROM dev, as I said, this is just a repack. You should wait for Gingerbread which will come any time soon.
Edit: Why don't you become a ROM dev yourself? That way you could create something "wildly different"

Future Updates - READ THIS!

Excellent work
what is the meaning of "odexed"?
Hi paul... I have tried your Fr5 and it is damned fast and smooth!! I haven't tried the new Fr6 but i would really love to have just the stock android lockscreen into the Fr5 version.. Is it possible to do so? Is there any files that i can copy and install just to have the stock lockscreen on my phone?
To be frank at 1st I have regretted to buy my LG 2X and i feel that my previous HTC phones was faster and have no lagginess as to my LG with the stock rom... But after flashing your custom roms I have now feel that this phone have a great potential to be the best and the fastest phone on the market right now..
Lastly, I wish to thank you for the great roms that you have made for the LG Optimus 2x community..
Regards,
blu3angel
Edited : Didn't know that you have made another Fr6: MoDaCo Custom ROM for the LG Optimus 2X.
Paul, I notice the clock of the lockscreen on your screenshots is one hour ahead from the top-right clock. Is this a known issue?
Finally vanilla rom, very thanks for your work

An3DBenchXL
My score has gone down a full 3000 points in An3DBenchXL (tested it on FR4), from 37k to 34K.
Ran it twice both in FR4 and in FR6 (vanilla edition). Any guesses as to why?
Yep the game monster madness seems to run slower here too, but not sure about that.
Else i got a FC when trying to enter keyboard parameters (any of them).

Nice! - Have installed & configured, looking good so far.
Haven't really tried any games yet except pocket legends which seems to run as before, did the SD tools test though which trippled the read speed

To RockoDev by Beats Audio & Xloud.
To owain94 by Mod Bravia Engine
I am grateful to my beloved “sufferers” that checked this rom with all its problems because i would not have been capable to detect the adjusted errors in this version without all of them: Elxufas, barri, ca229872, juanpaal, jorgeco, richi1990 and i am sure that i clean forget about some more, a 10 for all of you.

Just got my O2X after repair from LG ( one fall and the on/off switch went kaput). Saw your ROM, downloaded and flashed..!
First impression.
Very nicely built ROM. I love the animations and 3D buttons. Fantastic camera. Did not know that Flix has made such neat camera mod. Running on guestekrnL v1.6.1 right now. Maybe after some time will try his test kernel, once reach home. Also, I like the way you bundled the LG preloaded stuff in a folder. Really unique idea.
Nice work, mate
I wanted to know if the ROM is ext3 or ext4! Thank you!

Hi All,
first sorry about bad English.
I have problem with uploading screenshot.
Your Pictures are from opened calendar, there is no problem.
My problem is with calendar widget on the desktop(Big black calendar on LG desktop.
After i tried to reduce the rows of desktop in setup to avoid the cut of widget, the Phone crash with some java crash messages. I had to recover the old firmware.

I have to reproduce your error in my terminal, so:
That ROM version flasher, 1.3.4 or 1.4.0?
Name of the Launcher?
Name of the Widget?
About the Java I am reviewing

Hi again,
The ROM is 1.3.4
Launcher is TwLauncher
Widget is Calendar (wit icon 30 on it)
I flash now the 1.4.0
after installing version 1.4.0 the problem with cut of widget is not present anymore.
I don't try if the problem with reducing of rows and Java crash is present.
May I ask a stupid question? Where is the link for the 1.4 rom? In the first post it is only the 1.3.4 link.

Just a tip: you need to throw in some more stuff in order to grab users' attention. And this isn't an easy thing to do in a nexus device as there are many ROMs with great quality and many features (which is the thing that attracts most users, unfortunately).

Exactly this...but there is another thing too...It hasn't got to be full of features in order to be a good ROM, but it has to be fast and smooth. Right now there are many fast roms but they are not smooth enough, or they are smooth and not fast...
In this days maybe will made a new version
Stay tuned

ok i used the rom for about a week now and this is what i see so far:
it's fast and smooth and you can play games on it (if that's your thing) with little to no lag.
no hanging on the home screen (i really like stock home better but nova is the next best thing)
to clean some notification settings, quad menu would do fine and still keep it nice and cleen
some times when someone calls the screen stays off and locked (you have to pres the power button and unlock to see the call screen or chose it from notifications witch annoy's the s**t out of me)
other from that every thing works fine and has good battery life to
i get 16 to 18h with wi-fi and 3g always on 30-50 min of phone calls, some gaming and non-stop messiging
cant wait for next release
P.S. sorry for my bad grammar
New version released!
Link at 1st post
Pls try the rom and report any bugs (i hope and think that there aren't bugs )
Ei sossio scusa, é normale che mi manchi il client mail?
Grazie.
