[Q] Best Photo Album for G-Tablet? - G Tablet Themes and Apps

Running Vegan 5.1 and would like to keep photos on the internal memory rather than the external due to the loss of media files/.nomedia issue. Gallery doesn't seem to be finding anything on the internal memory and I don't see any way to modify where it looks for photos.
Any suggestions?

I load all my pics on Flickr and use flickr companion to view them all.
I know it's not exactly what you are looking for but an option. and less space on your Gtab taken up.

Try Just Pictures! I have found it to be one of the better gallery apps and it's free.

I 2nd that. Nice thing about Just Pictures is that you can also stream pics from CIFS enabled tablet with Windows sharing.

Thank you! Getting this for my phone now, as well. I loved when Sense would load Facebook, but after switching to CM6.1 I lost that feature. Looks like I'm going with Just Pictures! all around now!

Wow, you guys are right! I actually had downloaded it (JustPictures) earlier today but didn't spend enough time with it (I had downloaded several and didn't see anything I liked initially).
On a deeper look, this thing is fantastic! Thanks!!

It even has the ability to disable a .nomedia folder so it can view the files in those folders!
This app is awesome!

I'm an active flickr user and can't get slideshows to work in landscape on the g tab.
It works in portrait but I get the "!" in landscape. Does flickr companion do slideshows?

Does thus feature disable the "protective qualities" of .nomedia as well(please say no!)?

I haven't had the problem that people have been describing (deleting media not in the .nomedia folder), so I can't say for sure. Only way to test it is for someone who is to give it a shot and report back.

[Q] How to hide files in Galaxy S?

Hello everyone.
I was adding some files to the Galaxy S. Now I want some of them to be hidden so that they do not show in gallery or video player (incase of videos) for everyone and I can make them visible when I want them. Is it possible? If yes can someone please tell how to go about it or is there any app for it?
Regards
keep a blank file with the extension .nomedia in the folder that you want to exclude from media scanning..
You could also use "Vaulty Free" app that moves selected images and videos into a virtual vault which then requires a password to open and view. This also ensures that they do not show up in gallery and video player.
Hope this helps.
put the files you want to be hidden in a folder, and put a dot '.' before the name, like this:
.folder
this will hide it if you have, 'show hidden files' unchecked in options

I tried vaulty free. It looked to be a good app which would do the job but somehow when I locked videos through vaulty free they showed as "Images" in the vault! which wouldnt play. Also it took quite some time for 1 video too be transfered which was about 40 mb. So I guess it would take too much time if the quantity and size is large.

I had known about the nomedia trick but it displayed the files in the "my files" option. Adding a . before the name looks promising.
When done with nomedia file I guess it would solve the purpose. Would have to try this combination.
Thanks for the help folks.

The default action when you login to Vaulty is to display the stored images. Click Menu --> Videos to see and play the videos. Yes it does take a long time to transfer large videos.

Did that but it doesnt show anything when "videos" is selected and when images is selected files are show but they dont play!
Strange!! It works for me perfectly. I am assuming that you are able to play those videos outside vaulty using the stock video player.
How did you add the videos to vaulty?
The way I added is while the video was playing in the stock video player --> Menu --> Share Video --> Vaulty Free.
The only issue I have with Vaulty is I can play only one video at a time after which I will have to reenter the password.

Hmm yeah that is strange indeed. The videos work fine in the stock player but arent recognised in the vaulty free. It may work again if I reinstall the app but I will first try the other method as I would have large no. of files and adding them with Vaulty would take much time and as you just said it wont help if I have to enter the pass again and again after watching each video!
Why not just use Skyfire and stream your porn?

[Q] Whats a good app giving security for photos & video clips

Can anyone recommend a good application (preferably free) that enables us to have a secure section for photos, videos and documents?
Hide it pro is pretty good. It shows up as "audio manager" in the app drawer so no one will know the difference.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Search for Vaulty in the market. I know it hides pics and videos and can be password protected, not sure about documents though.

yep vaulty free is the $hit works awesome i use and i like lmao
wow... if you really need to hide something then don't put it on your phone.
Or do what I did...put 3 ... Before the file folder and it hides the folder and content. And then when you wanna view just enable hidden folders in the settings and bam there their for ya.
...jeepers creepers mofo.s...
RR File Locker will do exactly what you're looking for.

turn tab into digital picture frame?

Is there an app that would turn the gtab into a digital picture frame? I was hoping to find something that could stream pictures from my nas when I am not using it...

you could also put your photos in a folder or up in a folder in picasa and than when you load up the gallery just go to the folder pull up a picture and hit "slideshow"

THANK YOU very much for fining this. I have been looking for something like this for some time now. This works GREAT at the office and would probably work even better for those that aren't supposed to have 'personal' items at work
Interesting. I'm gonna try this out. Is it capable of "streaming" photos from my network? <-- to find out.
Clock App
The included clock app has an optionto play a slideshow, just hit the picture icon.

HTC One - Gallery other look

Hey guys I am wondering if I can change the look of my
gallery.
I don't want that there is always created a new album 23/06/2013, 24/06/2013, 25/06/2013.
Can't I have a simple album with all my photos in it, I shot and then for example a "downloads" album and so on?
greetings

If you click the top left when in Gallery you can change the view between Album, Events and location but only album View seems to do away with the dates, it simply shows your albums as opposed to putting the photos in stupid dates like it normally does ... Sadly the album view doesn't look as visually good IMO but I hated seeing dates with folders ... Hopefully this helps.

Anyone able to install the old album app from xperia 1?

I tried to install the apk file but when I try to open it it crashes. I don't like the Google photos app I prefer the stock Sony one.
I downloaded 'Gallery' off the app store. Seems ok.
I agree with you about Google photos.
Can't they make the original app work!?
You can use ver 8 album app by sony.

it does not support burst shots and shows all the pictures individually because the application is old.

Yes, but I think that is better than google photo.
(In old album, you also can't see screenshot folder)

Thanks, installed this version. It includes the "places" tab bit the program crashes when selected. It is THE most sought feature i'm after, bit for my life I cannot find it.
I hope somebody will find a solution

Here's a version that works (choose the one without "ROM")
Thanks
I use the HTC gallery from m9 lol
I did, but actually, Google Photo is better. The lay-out of the Sony Album app is a bit nicer, I removes it as it didn't have support for bursts.
You can use this.https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...lbum-9-9-a-0-20-updated-9-march-2021.2378816/
