I tried this with high profile mkv and it played, except a slight audio/video sync.
which i was not able to play in rock player. Another alternate is arcmedia, but it din't have any control like this one.

Works great...my new default video player.

Yep, that is how I discovered no accleration. I had a short period of time where a combination of TnT Lite, Clem kernel and Rockplayer resulted in high def wmv files playing smooth as butter with accleration. Now HW mode with those files causes the device to crash- stock player does it too.

Cool... looks like we can Load up Faverite Movies on the go .... and play them all
Have a nice one Bro.

The only thing I could throw at it that it wouldn't play were OGM files (deprecated by the Ogg folks some time back); everything else plays fantastically--even over my network.
New default player, bar none. At least until VLC is released.

Player is good as it plays AVC+AC3, however as it is not accelerated it stutters a lot. But as AVC is not playable at all in rockplayer, or Arcplayer this is an improvement. What does the pay version add?

It appears to be a market issue. I had the app installed but when I went to re-install it after a complete wipe for TNT lite 4.2.0 I was able to see the app but not install it. error code -18. none of the fixes seem to work so I am blaming the market as the issue.

Nope. Installation remains unsuccessful. Will try the Market fix and see it that does it.

Even after the market fix - using 3 different build.prop(s) I have been unable to get this app to re-install. I definitely think this is a google market issue not an end user issue.

Then try this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10782432

Sideloading is fine, I think something wierd is happening in the market though.
Thanks.

Agreed. Tried several methods to install to no avail. Will try in the future as its not a priority right now. thanks

cool. gonna give this player a try. if it can really play 720p high profile vids, that will be EPIC. cuz right now on rockplayer, the video will play with the audio sounding fine but the video is super laggy. still wanna be able to play video files without having to convert first. that is my dream.

I know that Android is beginning to replace WinMo, but if you want to get a foothold on Android your going to have to port your media player to android first.
never used winmo, put had a 'play' the other day, it is truly awful, but haret.exe fixed it, the diamond now has Eclair 2.0 on it, and hell it works much better... when camera fully works will do nand flash and get rid of the winmo bs )

The main difference between winmo and android/iphone is that one is for professional use (intelligent people who work and think) and one is for entertainment (children, adult handicaps and people who don't know how to hold a pencil). Unfortunately looks like WinPho7 is going that way too - another toy. You might like it

I don't want to bring you down but you're bundling a lot of useless files (same as Tech1 build... all those dll files are either useless or already exist in the ROM). I get the feeling you used Tech1 pack as base and added some files from the fake 0.81 and the other ones are from bimbam...
Some may prefer the subs.plg (because it works in all video modes) but has a lot of flickering in fullscreen depending on the video size and must be activated (in settings) everytime you play a movie with subs.
Only advantage is that using an old player.exe makes the lyrics plugin work...
However it's a (way) bigger setup, without skin support (unless you consider the backgound used by the lyrics plugin) and older components.
Some Pointers...
You may want to see exactly which plugins your executable uses, and which it does not... These will vary depending on which versions you have. More is not always better, and fewer plugins means more speed, and greater efficiency. With testing, you will be able to determine which ones you can delete, and which ones are necessary...

Hey everyone
Just wanted to post a reference link to my Mizuu Movies application thread, which is found under the Android Apps / Games section: Mizuu Movies - XDA thread
The application has been developed for Honeycomb on the Acer Iconia A500, and should support all Honeycomb tablets. There's a free and a paid version of the application - would really appreciate it if you'd try it out!

Thanks a lot!

Yes, since Android doesn't support .avi files natively, I have not yet made it possible to use those files. But when I do, they will only be playable if you're using a custom video player as your default player.
This looks great! I've been waiting for an app like this, until now I've just been using a file manager app to pull up my movies. I definitely prefer this XBMC-like interface. I'll give the app a whirl when I get off work.
One request though, which would keep my from purchasing. I'd prefer the option to play the videos through an external video player. I know a lot of users already have their preference of video player (Rock player, mobo player, etc), but this could be a great interface to that. Most of my videos are divx or not natively supported by honeycomb, so this app wouldn't work for me as is. This would also let you focus more on the interface/theming and less on the codec support.
Anyway, keep up the good work! I'm sure this app will only improve, looking through your other thread in the developers forum it looks like you're very quick on the updates. I'll reply with more specific criticisms after I try it tonight.

Hey, thanks for your comments!
The app already uses your default video player, so if you've set a third party player as your default player, that's what it'll use
Great work!
First let me say thanks for this beautifull work, we need these kind of applications.
Well, I have tried the free version in the market, it shows the screen with the boton to scan, as soon as I click it, the application dieds
If you need something from me to reproduce the error, please let me know, I will gladly cooperate in this project

Please refer to v. 1.3.1
I've downloaded 1.3.0, the full version. I start it up and click "lets roll!"... then seemingly nothing happens for 10 seconds, then it says no movies found. I definitely have movies in my /Movies/ folder, playable by rock player. Im on a 3g Xoom 3.1 connected to Verizon 3g.

Hey!
First of all - please update to v.1.3.1
Secondly, is it possible that none of your files are in one of these formats?
".3gp", ".3gpp", ".mp4", ".ts", ".webm"
These are the formats that are supported by Android by default - if you want more formats, you'll have to enable it in the application settings, which isn't available untill you've completed the initial search.
If you can, please try renaming one of your 100+ MB files to one of the above mentioned extensions temporarily. Then search with Mizuu Movies, enter the Settings and check "Include non-supported file types". Once that's done, you can change the extension back to whatever it was before and do an update in Mizuu Movies
Fixed!

Doesn't work for on ics though (presumably due to lack of Flash support - has this been reinstated in JB?) - media support installation says "file corrupted". But I seem to have achieved the same functionality with the TVCatchUp app (via Play) for live streaming (which seems to work fine).

I have the exact same problem since the begining, the very first time I tried it, it worked just great with all the sample videos. But to be honest after I rebooted the phone for the first time it never worked again. Music and Photo's work fine. The phone will now not throw to any of my DLNA devices for video, regardless of format.
I have just tried something out of curiousity, will report back if it helps anything

What are you talking about??? The transport is DLNA, so will only work with media that is supported by DLNA. As said here already stupid idea, if you read the posts you will discover that at least for me it worked the very first time I tried it with video.
What I have been testing are files that worked before, nothing changed, and formats supported by the TV and DLNA, so not sure where you come up with (unknown) I don't believe anyone mentioned that.
Have you got it working?

[HOWTO] Chromecast Mirroring (screen mirroring)

Hello everyone,
So I got my Google Chromecast today and after a bit of messing around I found this cool neat feature that allows you to mirror your entire display to the chromecast device.
This is how you do it.
1) In Google chrome browser on your computer click the Google cast extension and then click the little arrow in the extension and select "cast entire screen (experimental) I've attached a screenshot.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2) after completing step one select your chromecast device and walla you see your screen on your TV
This seems to be an experimental feature so let me know how it works for you, so far I've tested it on my Linux Mint 15 laptop and it works nicely there is a minor delay but at least its something
Nice Find!!
It would be great if the audio also worked it streams xbmc great but not audio
FYI: Need Chrome Beta for this to show.
This is really cool, nice find.
I hope audio works through this in the future!
Make video please
Chrome beta allows you to shoot to your tv? I am looking for the option but dont see it !

Do you see the arrow in the upper right corner when you press the chromecast button in chrome?
lol my TV IS my computer monitor actually. I just use the Chromecast for when I dont want to start up my pc ,,,but I will check shortly
You can cast just audio from that menu too.
How good is the screen mirroring? If it works well with no lag, I may use this to cast some PC games to the TV!

Have yet to try a game but there is definitely lag, (~ a half a second?) just scrolling the web page but audio is good, video is good, and the audio/video sync seems to be fine.
Right now I'm casting Google Play Music from my average, 1 year old, Toshiba laptop, to my cheap-ass, Insignia TV, listening to Taj Mahal tear-up the guitar.

Not howto video, but the video of the result, to see lag. I haven't chromecast and interested to see is it good enough to use for screen mirroring. Thanx.

oh, fair enough.
i don't think it's any laggier than the tab projection so you should look up videos of that on youtube for an idea.
There is a half a sec up to 2 sec lag so I don't think it's suitable for gaming unless someone finds a way to lower the lag somehow.
Also I use the stable version of chrome on Linux and it works so I don't know maybe for windows the beta version of chrome is needed.
The biggest down side for me is that audio is not working in the desktop cast mode
it doesnt even work for me.the CC doesnt respond to me clicking the cast entire screen (im on chrome stable)
Well when I use Netflix off my phone there is a real slight delay and it takes a few seconds after that for the proper resolution to kick in.. So if your game is lag dependant like a shooter etc.. I would be hesitant

Can you explain your issue in more details? What do you mean it doesn't respond?

Can someone test this Chrome extension on Chromecast. Media Player allows you to play video from your chrome browser. Just drop video into blank tab.
