Custom Keyboards - Nook Color General

How do I install a keyboard other than the Gingerbread or Default that come in autonooter? Swiftkey, for example?
Please yell at me if I missed another thread on this somehow.

Check the stickied workarounds thread in this forum.

Woah!!! Chill out guv, guy clearly says he's asking a stupid question, either direct him or leave it to the mod, who asked you to answer anyway???
Adeela, check on the Skins thread, it's a simple matter of downloading file manager from the market, dropping the theme on to the SD Card and then using file manager to install it.
Download the .apk and use Astrofile manager to install the apk file thats what i do and it works fine

I know people don't read every thread but jeez, the sticky has [SKIN] and if they read the first post it tells them.
People really need to read the XDA rules. This is why it is getting more and more difficult to search the forums because of useless posts.

Useless posts like the one you just made?
If you really want to educate the guy then PM him.
I don't mean to be facetious or anything - I just think your initial reply to the OP was a little harsh and not very constructive tbh.

Agreed. The OP has oly just joined, that was his/her 2nd post in which they clearly noted they are new to this.
I am new to Android too and had to get my head around some things, and you can see I have been here a while!
Also as you pointed out the sticky is titled [SKINS] not themes, in some peoples minds these can be quite different things.
Close this thread please.

Froyo And Sense

Do anyone have a completely stable rom version of htc sense with froyo?
It is being worked on by many. Did you search for the topic?
In the future before you post in the ROM development area ask yourself, "what did I develop?"

There are many words here in the forums. Most of them have meaning. If you read them, you will discover facts, theories, and works in progress. Please take at least a half hour to do so, ffs.

CM7 Twitter notifications

Do Twitter notifications work for anyone on the CM7 nightlies?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA Premium App
Hi,
They do work with me. The only problem is that, when I reboot, all the sync accounts (among other things) are deleted. Check if this is your problem.
Cheers
Your problem probably comes from the fact that it's installed on SD card. I had that too.

Didn't know about thi, thanks!!!
Anyone?

Are you serious? Not ONE other person using CM7 can confirm this? ****, this place pisses me off sometimes...
Why don't you cry about it some more instead of posting in the CM7 thread where you should then? Christ.

Tried. Twice. If I were to post this as a separate thread in the development section, it would get moved here. Get a clue.
Anyway, turns out all I needed was a fresh install of Twitter.
So let me get this right...
You asked twice in the CM7 thread an no one had an answer for you.
Then you asked in here, repeatedly bumping your own thread when no one answered you.
Maybe you should have taken the hint, no one else has this problem. That is why no one was answering you. Geesh

Real helpful community we got here if people who DON'T have the problem can't comment with 2 words to confirm, smartass.

It has been answered here at least 2 dozen times. Try the magical search button. No one wants to explain a process to someone too lazy to do their own leg work for the 32nd time.
Why not just go with an oxidized stock 2.3.3 rom. It can be found in the development section.

I'd recommend this one. It's been stripped of the useless stuff and just slightly tweaked. Did you want to remove root?

actually you did reply to my "stupid" thread, stupid ****,and thanks ddgarcia ill try that.
You *****ed and bumped your own thread because nobody responded.
You then *****ed that the replies after words did not spoon feed you the answer.
Simply put you're a ****ing idiot. Not only can't you search the forum or read the wiki. You're also so slow that even after you managed to flash a custom rom you could not figure out to flash a different (stock) rom. You're just flat out stupid.

theme question

hey folks,
looking to create an icon pack. Now I use root explorer to find exactly what to name the icons. There are a few I can't find. I'm using the weUI rom and that (along with other roms) have items in their tools folder. Is there a way to find out how to place another icon on these?
<kafepuya gets popcorn and a good seat>
good you can share. From looking at other themes like "pages", the author was able to drop a paperclip over every icon. So this is not likely creating an icon for every app but an image that is placed over unknowns. does anyone know where this could be?
Ok what the heck! This darn xda app sucks! I pressed the development thread and i wound up in the Q&A thread.

I think the only troll in this conversation is you here. Lol, if you still haven't got the message, you posted this thread regarding themes in the wrong forum buddy, next time post in the Q&A section (makes sense?). Just hope you don't get flamed too badly now...
Thread reported to mod.
For the question. Try going to android development and going under themes. Or general and that area. Or google MIUI icon pack how-to and add xda if you feel the need.
That should solve your problem. Just a simple search for the answer.
