[28/08] 4 "nice & easy" Skins for your Action Screen!

here are 4 nice Skins for your HTC Touch Action screen!
No installation required.
You have only to...
How to install:
1) unzip the ".zip" file you want to use:
-set black and orange.zip
-set cool white.zip
-set white and black.zip
-set black and red.zip
-original set.zip
on a folder on your computer.
NB: check on your device, "\Windows" folder,
If you have, for example, "AS_01_focus.brn" instead of "Blue_AS_01_focus.brn"
just delete the "Blue_" from all the downloaded files, inside the extracted folder
on your computer!
2) copy all files extraced into your device, in the "\windows" directory
replacing the original image sets.
3) done!
no restart required.
Just use and see if you like it.
Note:
If you dont like, you can put the original set back
using the "original set.zip" file, with the same procedure
or "backup the files from your device into a folder on your computer"!
(the files you have to backup have the same name of the ones in the set ".zip" file)

Which version of the Action Screen are you using? The reason I ask is because the files on my phone don't have the "Blue_" extension in front of them. Example, AS_01_focus.brn, etc.
Anyone having trouble with this, check your Windows folder. If you have the AS files then just delete the Blue_ from the downloaded files and it should work.
FYI, I'm using HTC Action Screen v1.0.

so i tryed to change the color of some stuff in my message app from froyo 2.2
in attachment you can see my mms.apk that i think need to be eddited to get what i want
this i what i have now:

i made this mms folder with ninjamorph

You have to decompile the .apk in order to read .xml files
Download APKManager and work with the .apk there.

Mms_cyan
I did a cyan version & green version
- works if you choose dark theme
- new contact picture
- new text color

If you are unable to get this to work by amending the apk's then try using handsent sms as the customisation on the app is simple and will get you the effect you are after.

well it will work for sms but what for calendar and phone.apk and and and
i know for sure that when i get it how to get this green the rest will be easy
yust need to figure out how i can get this one green

Here is a HTC Froyo Sense theme for the Huawei Ascend.
Must have root permissions
Version 0.5
Download: View attachment HTCFroyoAscend.zip (metamorph)
Make clock white after install:
After you reboot, open Root Explorer.
With root explorer, browse to /system/build.prop.
Long tap on build.prop and select Open in Text Editor.
Scroll down and find hw_customizetype=01 and change it to hw_customizetype=02.
Save your changes and reboot.
Or simply download and replace the build.prop with the one that is attached to this thread.

Does this theme run smooth? And with what launcher does it work with?

Yes, it runs the same its just a theme. It's not like a theme in windows. This just replaces stock images that is on the phone. Any launcher works.

Resore the Nand backup that you made right before installing this theme If you use ZipThemer to install themes instead of MetaMorph, it has a much less painful "undo" feature.
OP, I've attached an updated version of the theme that also installs build.prop into /system/. Note that in this updated version, everything is in the root of the zip file instead of inside the HTCFroyoAscend directory (required for compatibility with ZipThemer).
And that comment in the <useless> tag looks awfully familiar, just like the one I put in my HtcBlackStatusBar theme for the Eris

I accidently activated the theme using metamorph without making a back up. What can i do if i want to revert back?

Well I used metamorph to install the theme and it looks good...but my notification bar didn't change to black. Only black boxes around my 3G, signal, and battery. Did I do something wrong?

If the notifican bar has black around the icons on it the bar has changed to black,its not showing up because the buildprop file needs to be edited. Use root explorer and long press the buildprop file and open it in text editor,find hw_customizetype=01 and change it to hw_customizetype=02 save changes exit and reboot.

Hello all, this is my first theme release! This is a metamorph framework for MDPI devices inspired by HC Reedited icons by dj_deez. Also included is the honeycomb lockscreen font. More details included in the readme.
Tested on Froyo by Lazslo
How to use Metamorph:
Always Nandroid before flashing any theme.
1. Download and install the Metamorph app from the Android market.
2. Open Metamorph, allow checks and Superuser. Press menu, open settings and increase Metamorph Delay to 3500 or so.
3. If this is a new theme, choose Unzip/Extract new theme and navigate to downloaded theme zip file on your SD card.
4. Click on the zip file and Metamorph will extract the theme files automagically.
5. Information about the theme may be displayed. Select "Close" when done.
5. A list of all the sub-themes will be displayed. Click ‘Apply All!’
6. Select "Continue" to apply framework-res themed files.
7. Reboot if it doesn't happen automatically.
Tips:
- Once you have completed all the checks in the Metamorph, you can Disable startup checks in Metamorph settings. You can also Disable the warning regarding framework-res too.
- After you've Metamorphed once, you can delete the theme zip file from your SD card if you'd like. The extracted theme is saved in AndroidThemes on your SD card.
Extras:
Included in the extras folder is a wallpaper pack as well as a dock and icon set for ADW launcher. However I'm sure they will also work with launcher pro (not tested)

EDIT: It kept loop booting till i got out the battery but then it didn't apply after that..

This "mod" doesn't work. Nothing happens when I replaced this file with my stock one. In fact, I deleted this file, re-installed my stock one and now I don't even get the stock boot up screen. Nice.

I had the same problem. Just install the 'bootanimations' app from the play store by jrummy, locate the zip from inside the app, tap and hold, then click install and boom, you're done. Hope this helps.

Okay, thanks! This solved the issue. Question now is, what did "bootanimations" do differently that I couldn't do manually?

Nothing. You just failed to set permissions properly to rw-r-r (644) for the file to work. Now you know so manual or not you can make it work.

Sounds like you aren't changing the permissions.

Thank you and you were correct, I never changed the permissions. "Bootanimations" app deleted.
