Winamp - Desire HD Themes and Apps

Hi guys,
I decided that I want to use winamp as my default music player for several reasons... however, I like the srs and dolby effects that the stock music player has.
Is there any way to have those (especially the srs) with winamp???
thanks in advance.

you can use poweramp it has an equalizer which can simulate the SRS effect also you can use dsp manager but on some roms its a battery drainer.

Yeah, PowerAMP is awesome. Get it.

I do have it as well. The thing is Winamp reacts to my headphones controls.

[Question] Equalizer for music player

Is there an Equalizer available for the music player on the magic?
Have not been able to find one..
None?????
Nope there isn't one by default.
You can probably get one thrown in with an alternative music player, tho I don't know their names, perhaps have a look?
Anyways the player on the magic is already pretty good.
I've tried the default media player, htc media player (hero rom or installed manually) and mixZing all DONT have it. Shame because the last two are damn good media players in other respects.

Best media player? Any recommendations?

Windows media player seems to be really crappy to use and slow.. and nice smooth interface thats very popular for playing music?
I use pocket player. It does everything I need, sound quality is good and it has a great library.
Disadvantage: It's not freeware.
Nitrogen - free, cool .. but has some minor bugs .. occasional stutter and some mp3 can't be played. But hey, it's rather young project.
CorePlayer - not free, not as good controls, but usable, and has best audio quality (I mean NO stutters ever, if you check 'higher priority for audio').
And on Xperia you have media panel. It works. But I play songs by folders, not by albums or playlist, so no joy for me.
try s2p with s2u2 (just disable all the autolock stuff).. I love it just because it turns itself on when plugin headphones or connecting a stereo bluetooth device and it stop she music and closes when you remove them.. Sound quality is similar to wmp bc it uses its engine (though i gotta say its ok) To me, this is the most convenient music player (it does playlists too)
however, i've been pushed by a friend to try core player (i don;t if i got it right..) He told me that was the best player he tried so far.. then again, he has a raphael... so dunno...
for convenience, i like s2p (mainly if your lazy or dont want to hunt down for the player and kill it later )
core player as the x panel had a lot of issues playing acc files
Hi, Do you want an audio player or Vedio player?
If you need the first one, Pocket Player will be better.
Coreplayer is good for vedio, but only WMP could work with X.264 code.

If you need the Audio Player, Pocket Music Player will be better.
Pocket Music Player supports X-Bass and Preamp. X-Bass + Some Custom EQ + Preamp made very good sound.
I recommand you Pocket Music Player.

PowerAMP? I would like a speedy and great music player PLUS I like to play SomaFM.

Is PowerAMP the one for me? I use DoubleTwist right now, and it's got lots of issues. But it does let me get to some SomaFM Stations.
IMO Poweramp does not compare with any player on Output. its almost like they have muted the audio output on it. Its the only player that I have come across that does this.
Poweramp defaults to having the equalizer and tonal control on. Go into the Equalizer settings and unclick EQU and PRE and TONE. Once done the volume is equal to the Samsung music player at least for me. Poweramp is awesome simply because of that customizable equalizer.

Tried that.......no worky........I tried comparing the stock music app and Poweramp using your method, and any other setting I could find. Poweramp is aesthetically pleasing, but the sound quality isn't up to par with me.
The equalizer became obsolete with Voodoo Sound! Which is one of the greatest improvements to this phone. Thanks Supercurio!

That was my experience, as well. I tried a song at the same sound level with both and with PowerAMP I could hear some noticeable distortion. Sucked because I paid for it and am no longer using it.
Moved to proper forum.
Use voodoo app and power amp it is amazing

You might want to try the moto music app from here. It's loaded with tons of features. Auto looks up words for your songs while they're playing and highlights them as they're sung. Links to YT vids, has shoutcast, tune identification via sound hound (I believe), links to tunewiki, has sleep timer, and downloads songs. Doesn't have a equalizer though. IMO, the sound quantity and quality is comparable to the Samsung app. Oh, it's also free.

I tried pretty much ever music player out there and really was disappointed with many. Finally tried Music PlayerPro Trial, bought the paid version that same day it was soo good! By far the best player I have used with the most features/options.

I checked this one out after reading your post. It's a great music player! Hands down the best one I have yet found. Thanks for the info.
what are you guys talking about with poweramp sucking?
the default music app and playerpro don't even find my music because they are apparently unable to handle album-structure. what the hell? even IF their sound quality was better, i refuse to put all of my mp3s into one folder.
plus - when i first tried out poweramp yesterday, i was stunned by the sound. same equalizer settings as on my computer with soundblaster x-fi and winamp and it sounds a hint fuller. and it can push bass even further without distortion - i didn't even know my headphones were able to produce that and had to reduce it because while it worked, it didn't sound good any more.

Playerpro finds all my music in different folders with album structure just fine. Overall its the best out there with skins, equalizer, lockscreen widget, etc... well worth buying

Same here......... My SD card is fully structured as well.
It even links artist pics, and sorts the albums under the artist pics.
Overall its a great player. I like how there is a music player that actually integrates lyrics properly now.
If your having good luck with PowerAMP, then that's good for you! My overall experience with it wasn't good.
huh... i wonder what the problem is with my phone as i would like to compare these apps. but what the hell, poweramp works great and i don't want to spend hours figuring out what's wrong. -_-
Poweramp works great. For those that have problems with muted sound, you have to go into the equalizer and raise the settings. If this causes distortion, lower the pre-amp setting or turn off tone. I usually keep my pre-amp setting a third of the way up. Even close to half way will cause some distortion. I've tried every music app I could find on different speakers and poweramp is the best MUSIC player. Pro player is nice but eq doesn't compare to poweramp. Looks alone though, Proplayer is mighty pretty but I didn't spend $2000 in speakers for a pretty music app. Poweramp = best sound.
I use PowerAmp bc i like the widget best. The MotoMusic app thats on these forums is awesome though. Ijust like poweramps widget better

For listening to shoutcast (like somafm) I like Xiialive. But it only plays shoutcast, you have to use something else for playing local media

[Q] Can we port Samsung music player

Can we port Sammy Music Player for CMs
Because of Reverb and Room Size
The Reverbs From DSP Manager isn't enough, to replace the sammy ones
Or if someone know an EQ app that has the same Reverb and Room size effects

As far as I know, like most Samsung apps, the Music player also requires TouchWiz framework in order to run... without TouchWiz it won't run... The closest thing anyone can do would be to theme a music player to make it look like Samsung's music player...
You can try Apollo or Google Music player - in my opinion, they are better than Samsung's music player... And for equalizers, you can try Music FX or Beats right?
Or try Audio engines like Pure Audio, AC!D or Viper....

I think the widget comes with the Music player only.. There is no separate apk file for just the widget.

to be honest .... poweramp is the only best music player unless you have viper4android
Try jetaudio.
Poweramp is absolutely great, in combination with viper4android simply the best.
You need to try Shutle+ by SimpleCity, it's really good. Another good one is Doubletwist.
