1 - you must root lg this way for that
This screen shot is taken from LG Optimus 2X Sys Dump forum thread posted here. [Complete Thread]
Ok so here are the instructions to root LG Optimus 2X with Z4Root App:
1.The first step is to download Z4root app from here, extract the apk from zip and save it on your desktop.
2.Once done, connect your phone to the computer, mount USB as flash drive and copy z4root.apk to SD Card root.
3.Now launch Market on your phone and download Astro File Manager.
4.Launch Astro File Manager after download is complete and follow onscreen instructions to install Z4root app on your phone.
5.Once the installation is complete, launch Z4root app and tap temporary root / permanent root tab according to your choice.
6.Wait for the procedure to complete and reboot your phone.
7.Once your phone reboots, check your home screen to see presence of superuser etc. You can also download root checker app for Android to see if your rooting experiment was successful or not.
8.And there you go! If you acquire root, you are free to hack away bloatware, mod outlook, produce kernels etc. etc.
Please note that we haven’t tested this method ourselves [of course LG isn’t kind enough to hand us their “test units” ] so please proceed with caution and care. Please note that for now you are on your own with testing this method because there is no standalone root support thread on XDA or any other Android development forums for this. You can post your results here if you wish.

Yes, please report back with any issues.......
Ok So its a no go so far.....
I did a data/factory reset
wiped cache partion
advanced -> Wiped Dalivk Cache
Then flashed - > While flashing when it says "copying system files" the progress bar never moves
Then while trying to reboot it never makes it to the boot animation, it just stays on the htc Incredible screen
Did the above twice with the same result
hboot 0.92
radio 2.15
Does it finish the install tho? If it does, can you try flashing a custom kernel after installing the ROM just in case when I rebuilt the kernel, it didn't build correctly
Yes it says it finishes with no errors, Im going to flash a different kernel nonw give me about ten and I will Post Back....
I Just flashed the rom then KK BFS #5 and still have the same issue....Standing by for more options....
I Just flashed the rom then KK BFS #5 and still have the same issue....Standing by for more options...
Can you try deleting the system/etc/init.d folder from the zip and flash then to see if the dalvik2cache script is causing the issue. Or in recovery if you know how to use ADB, then type this
Code:
adb shell
rm -r /system/etc/init.d
reboot
I did that and still have the same issue, but I used the kernel you provided, Im going to try flashing another kernel again just to double check....
Even after removing the file, and trying a different kernel it still the same...

Did you get it working?
Does this rom have the Evo Framework on it as well?
If its still not booting then I probably goofed somewhere else and since I'm not near a PC right now, I wont be able to fix it till later tonight.
Thank for trying tho

No, everything is from the Incredible build
confirmed, asfter a complete wipe no boot
stuck at splash screen
My guess is that probably some of framework files didn't build correctly if it's getting stuck at the splash screen.
Since I won't be near a PC for a while, can someone please try replacing the framework files in the zip with some deodexed ones from someone elses ROM to see if it will boot?
Not owning the phone makes it a little hard for me to diagnose the problem but without a logcat, I can't see what it's failing to load
Im no expert but yea I will try and pull the framework and see if I can get it to work for you
I pulled thr framework folder from a working rom and replaced the one on your ROM with it.....Flashed it and still get the same result
I can troubleshoot. Pm me

When you want to define it as a theme. yes of corse and it has also all the bugs that CM7 has, because it based on it.
Ok got it on and working, but I normally install my apps through the pc on the market, but it not picking my 02x up just my old desire, im presuming this is a CM problem.
Is there a work round or have i done somthing wrong?

[Theme Release] - 'VENOM'- for JT's 2.3.5 Vanilla GingerBread ROM

THIS IS FOR THE 8/2 RELEASE OF JT'S 2.3.5 VANILLA GB ROM ONLY
Here's a little green love for ya.. these colors are so much more vibrant on the Fascinate than on the D1 so I'm diggin porting my themes over.. It's an update.zip so install via recovery (power off option for recovery, not the 3 finger method) or ROM manager.. All the xmls are edited so just flash and enjoy!...
MAKE A BACKUP PRIOR TO MODDING YOUR DEVICE!.. I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU OR YOUR PHONE...
Installation instructions:
1. download the link(s) you want and move them to the root of your sd card or to a known directory.. also, if you installed gmail from the market, you need to uninstall that from data/app since the one I include goes to system/app..
2. either use rom manager to install rom from sd/choose the zip/wipe dalvik cache/let it do it's thing
3. or use the power off menu to reboot into recovery/wipe cache partition/go to advanced and wipe dalvik cache.. don't wipe data tho.... then 'install zip from sd/choose zip/find the zip you want to install/yes... repeat for any other zips minus the wiping... then reboot..

DARK MARKET v3.0.27 - Inverted and themed by me - This is a seperate install since not everyone wants an inverted market... this flashes right over the 3.0.27 market that comes with the rom...

2. http://bit.ly/DarkandGreenzipMarket Dark & Green Market 3.0.27 - Flashes like a theme in recovery or rom manager
3. http://bit.ly/GoogleVoiceAndSearch Kameleon GoogleVoice and GoogleSearch - Both are in this zip and install like a theme in recovery or rom manager.. They're self theming to the main system text colors.. * I haven't tested these out yet on the 2.3.5 build so if they fc, reflash GAPPS and you'll have all the stock apks.. or I can add in another zip that has the stock GV and GS apks in it...
4. http://www.droidforums.net/forum/b-boy/ Link to all my work.. check out the Kameleon Series thread.. it has GB keyboards and other add ons that are self theming so they only need to be applied once..

Not sure.... v2 is running smooth for the wife so updating isn't needed right now. . Unfortunately, I dont have 1 theme that is easy to port all over... I have 9. So it makes it tougher to keep up on a rom that updates every other day.. on Liquid for the d1 I stopped porting cause the releases were too often and while one thing would be fixed, other things wouldnt be.. I like theming a rom that has it all working at the release ya know?.. but I know that jt put in the hours to bring us this amazing rom so I'll continue to port but prob not to every update unless there are some major additions or fixes that will possibly create a longer span of time before another release drops....

trapacska's SmallKitchen[v0.9.9][2012.04.29]

Short description:
I made a small app to change settings, tweaks and mods as userfriendly as possible.
In the app there are live log-boxes, to see what you are doing.
Because of it's construction, i will add more and more settings to it.
Moreover i am planning to release(it is in half state) a plugin for it, which will be able to patch dex files.
I have several more options to build into it, and i will do a small recode, to be more compatible.
The next release will be compatible with all of rom type and version.
So i hope on a nice day, my SmallKitchen will be released as SmartKitchen.

A small suggestion: how about having a file explorer box where the user can pick a ROM from their computer and have your app extract the required files from the zip automatically?
Great contribution, I'm sure that with some more work this will be a valuable tool to all XDA members!

Unintentionally Broken Boot Animation
Installation Guide
First, power off your tablet and then hold down Home+Power+VolumeUp to boot into recovery (CWM, TWRP, Philz Touch, etc.)
Wipe/Factory Reset your tablet. WARNING: THIS WILL ERASE ALL DATA, SO MAKE A BACKUP.
When that's done, go ahead and flash the .zip you downloaded from your SD card.
When that's done, reboot your tablet.
Everything should go well, but it might take a bit of time to boot at first. Don't worry. This happens with every ROM. But when you're done, you should see the Samsung setup wizard. Done!
Screenshots
Ignore the Helvetica Neue font and "DIDNEY WORL" on the lock screen. I set those for myself, which means when this ROM is first flashed, you will have the Roboto font and no personal message on the lockscreen, although you can set it yourself.

Note that I made none of these and they are all flashable.
@JT1510365 has created this great thread of flashable custom boot animations. CHECK NEW THREAD
Performance Upgrade Pack: CHECK NEW THREAD
Blackhawk Kernel (ROM has Werewolf Kernel by default): CHECK NEW THREAD
