Yeah, this sucks, I downloaded the zip but haven't had a chance to flash psfreedom yet. Where are/were directions for the disk backup program?

if you have the recovery files for your phone already then just follow any tutorial to get backupmanager installed since the hacks the same.

XDA has to do what the law says. If they are getting legal threats, of course they are going to delete it. Would you rather lose one thread or the whole site?

my apologies, didn't know you had to follow guidelines.i appreciate everything and work you do. this has been a great expieince rooting my htc hero cdma. keep up the good work.

I think the links are labeled wrong on that wiki.

Anyone no of Nyiela, I think that is how u spell it, would update it to Hermes v3 or at least the custom payload to use with his mod so we could use it. maybe upload it to github or something if I knew how to compile it I would

Is there a new compatibility list for the new hermes payloads? Or is there a newer backup manager than v2?

There are a few versions, that require Hermes v3 like open manager v1.16, flex manager, and a few others. U can Google 'em or goto one of the ps3 sites like ps3hax.net, ps3-hacks.com, psx-scene.com

Hey where can I find the dark google search widget with the green google search icon like the one used it firefly? Also I know this may be supposed to be in QA but it relates to theming hence why i am asking it here.

He did post the apks. They're in the .zip file he posted. It's not a flashable zip, its just an archive with the two necessary apks. Just download and extract them.

Anyone have success with this? Turns my search box white with no lines, some files inside are corrupt. Am I missing something?

[REQ] build.prop from stock ATT Vivid

I am at work and cant install anything on my work machine. Can someone who is still running the stock rom on the ATT Vivid (doesnt matter if its rooted) make a copy of it and upload it please?
I remember seeing some references to throttling in it and wanted to look in to a few things... just bored at work

Hey PG, did you notice this one line in the original:

... i cant seem to find any info on it, know anything about it? Wondering if someone could disable their throttling by editing this setting.. Im not currently throttled or running the stock rom so i have no way to test it.

yeah, i noticed that when building RumRaider. im not on stock nor do i get throttled, so i have no way of testing this if you were to set it to 0 or just comment it out

[Q] 1% battery mod

First sorry for my bad English.
Hello! A few days I'm struggling with a mod. I want to implement the battery indicator to 1% on my stock rom (Retail LA). I have modified framework and sistemui apk's with UOT Kitchen. The icons changed (now I have the round indicator) but the battery indication is still in steps of 10.
I tried editing the framework putting the battery's xml inside the drawable folder into drawable-hdpi, but neither worked.
I appreciate any help!

I'm glad it worked. Credit goes to either buckmarble or someone else he got it from first because all of that is way beyond me if I didn't have that step-by-step guide.

Does it work with CyanogenMod 7? Hope you don't mind me asking in advanced. And if it does, is there anyway to modify the displayed colour? Thank you.

AFAIK, it should work. I don't believe it's Blur specific. As for colors, you'd probably have to do some .xml editing. That's where I have no idea and it zooms over my head. I'd say follow the guide for 1% at least, and if you can't find files where they're listed as being, then it's not going to work exactly and you may have to do some searching, but since it's framework_res.apk and services.jar editing, I feel it should be the same.

Thank you. I'll install this mod and see how it goes. As for modding, I've got no clue myself, despite 2 years using Milestone, but I think it's time to dabble a bit.

Hey all, I've been flashing Roms for ages but I'd love to start making Roms. I've been watching tutorials. but none have been of much use to me. I can use command prompt etc, and i have done a bit of programming. So, could you guys link me to some useful tutorials or even teach me yourself? Thanks guys!
BTW, my ultimate aim would be a fully functioning ICS Rom!

Well, first i took a Galaxy Nexus ICS rom, which someone kindly ported already, and I fixed up GPS and MMS (I think).
But just about an hour ago, i took IceColdSandwich, and I am going to see if i can do any good with it

Just felt the need to chime in. Thanks for the very useful links. This thread is why I love coming to XDA.

That's an updater-script problem. Check your recovery.log
