[Q] (Q) Theme Question - Captivate Themes and Apps

I've been working on a theme and I have been trying to change the color of the bar that shows up for the volume control and for downloads, etc. I have looked all over the ROM and themes trying to find the .png for it, but I can't find it. Can anyone tell me what it's called and where it's located? Thanks in advance.

I think u should be able to find it in "framework-res.apk" file under settings/framework

framework-res.apk\res\drawable\progress_horizontal.xml

+1.
Its not a .png you can just edit in photoshop. You have to decompile and edit the progress_horizontal.xml file.
Here's a good guide:

I already used search and saw that thread, but it doesn't answer my question.
*.9.png files require a one pixel black border around them to work correctly.

Decompile the original .9 PNG and paste the modified one over it, then recompile.

[Q] Market app theming help (see screeny)

I know how to modify all files of an apk. I just don't know what file to edit.
The screeny shows what needs fixing. It's the search suggestions/history screen in the market.
What xml contains the color code for that black on black text of the vending.apk? I'm assuming it's in the vending.apk.
+1 thanks to the quickest correct response.

Idem.
I tried this kitchen but the clock is not visible!
I started from a2s so my clock color was already white. But you can try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=549309
Hi! I also want to replace the color of the status bar but I'm not shure if I get the procedure... I already have the modified framework-res.apk from UOT Kitchen, do I have to flash it from recovery? Does it works from the stock Froyo 2.2.1 ROM or do I have to change the ROM?? Thanks!
Thanks!

Thanks for sharing that link! Played around with it last night and transformed the interface completely under an hour
Hope someone can make a guide for it though, such as the bootanimation folder. I selected the Froyo option but it didn't appear as a change. I guess its another folder but I'm not sure which.

Did you mean "where", right?
You can use images from themes that were published in the forum, find them here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1524633
(but ask for the permission of the creator at first.)
You can follow this guide of huexxxx, it explains how to modify images in a rom using winrar.
thankyou

Almost all are. But you can easily find out by checking the xml files after decompiling the apks. Remember to install framework and systemui before decompiling if you are using apktool.
If you want help setting things up (on ubuntu), just holler.
Cheers

OK, I am trying to put to place the toggles below the clock in the status bar. I edited status_bar_expanded_header.xml but I couldn't do it. (The toggles just remain where they are no matter what I do). Am I editing the right file?
Thanks guys, maybe this can be a Q & A thread for all those who wanna learn.
