Incipio Feather for Nexus S First Look

Hey guys,
Last night I went to Gdgt Live in Austin and Incipio was there. I asked them if they're going to release feather cases for the Nexus S and they said that they'll come out within the next two weeks! This could be a viable substitute for the barely there case since they're almost the exact same thing. I have the feather case for my Zune HD and I <3 it!

Do you plan on getting it? If so mind posting pictures and a little write up?

I have an Incipio case for my iPad, and I love it. Let's hope Incipio can come up with a good quality one for our phone.

If it comes out before the barely there case then yes. Oh and I forgot to add one more thing, they told me that the price should be $19.99 for it.

i much prefer incipio feather cases, ive always purchased them for all my phones

I like the feather cases but I think ill wait for an otterbox.

Incipio Feather for Nexus S is out!

$24.99, I want 2 but that + the international shipping hurts my wallet, I hope the quality is what the price says

I cant imagine spending more than a couple bucks on a case honestly. But to each his own. I also treat my phone like my first born son lol

I've tried one that I believe you're talking about, it is another thin polycarbonate case. Couple of things I noticed that are different:
1- Feather has 1 large cutout for camera/flash, the one I tried had separate cutouts
2- Feather's inside is soft touch, the one I tried had a glossy inside and soft touch backing
3- Fit on the eBay ones is not as tight (which worries me, since I feel dust/debris can get in and scratch backing)
Other than that they are very similar

Thanks for the video. If I were to get any case I suppose this would be it because I hate bulk, but that price is a bit too high... and no screen protector either, lame lol.

I ordered mine (Fedex!) a few minutes after they posted it on the Incipio website and it came today. I already had the Feather case for my Samsung Focus, so I knew what to expect.
It looks great, but the best thing about it is that it doesn't wiggle or squeak like the Seidio Platinum case. Be warned, however... this is a case for people who don't really want a case, if that makes any sense! This won't protect your phone as well as a fat, ugly TPU case.

Hey, I take offense to that insult on TPU cases! They do protect the phone quite well.

do they usually increase color selection?

I can't find a case for this phone anywhere online. I checked amazon and googled it. People were talking about samsung.com, but I don't see anything specifically for the note 2 there. Can everyone just post links of places they got their cases? I really want a case before I destroy the phone. Thanks!

Shop products -> Cell Phone Accessories. Should be 20 pages of stuff
Filter for "Cases and Holsters" on the left. Should be 4 pages now.
Go to page 4. Official Samsung flip cover ($40) and protective case ($30) are there in 2 colors each. Use the 50% coupon from thread at the top of this forum.
Also, there is always eBay, and I heard Sprint stores have cases in stock. My T-Mobile store had no accessories

There are not many US-based retailers that have cases for sale at reasonable prices. I have a slew of them coming through eBay but most of them are third-party and shipping from Hong Kong. I checked the T-Mobile store nearby only to find that they did not have any accessories in stock and did not have any idea when they'd be getting them in.
Samsung.com, when I last checked yesterday, did not have any of the flip covers in stock for the Note 2. I put in a backorder on them but have no received an email yet.
Amazon.com, has mostly third-party accessories as well and it's difficult to find the correct items. Keep in mind that you can search for N7100, N7105, SGH-T889, SGH-i317 and many other model numbers.
Hoping within the next week or two that more US retailers begin carrying accessories.

Anybody checked if Sprint has any accessories either?
Just called up T-Mo again, and again, "sorry, nothing yet. Looks as we got the phones early or something". Sigh...I think I got a simple one that should be here by next Monday...from Amazon.com

Well that's lame I'd really like to protect my phone. Can you guys post links to the few cases you are finding? I mean why can't we buy from European retailers sites? It's like they aren't selling cases yet either...

More and more cases are showing up each day. I ordered that Poetic flip case myself last night. Got a notification that it had dropped to $4.95, and there was no shipping cost (even without Prime), so it was pretty much a no-brainer.

Saw that about the Poetic case myself too. Went to order it today and they wanted to charge something like $25 for delivery to Europe Thanks but no thanks. Pity.

I'm particularly curious to know, when that case and the Note 2 arrive, if it can handle the phone inside of a TPU.
Speaking of TPUs, I haven't heard back from Diztronic yet on whether they're making TPUs for the Note 2. TPUs don't get any better than Diztronic, imo.

Wish there was a seidio case out.. Or something like it.. That was a nice case that protected well

It is cheap and is relatively unobtrusive. It is thin and yet, sturdy enough to protect the phone from a drop from a table top. The sides wrap around the front of the touchscreen just enough to give it protection from putting it directly on a flat table top. The kick stand is very useful to stand this beautiful screen, especially for the kids to watch a show.

Another vote for the great body glove case.

I'm really surprised sprint has this nice body glove you all speak of.. I'll have to see if my sprint store had it.. Usually they have some dinky cases that are wayyyyy over priced

These cases are the best ones i've seen yet! I love the design of the surface where it is two different pieces like some iphone cases. The kickstand is nice too (wish could be in portrait mode)... but i guess only the black color is shipping? Anyone know when the other colors will be available?

Seido is in Houston TX. Was going to order with over night shipping with fb10 and total would of been $79. lol I just couldnt do it. Buyers remorse was sitting in before i could even press send. I will buy the case when they send them to Best Buy's under the name PT, or price goes down on website.

I am with you. We pay tax in Texas as well. You need a 20% off coupon to make it worth it. I have bought the cases off of Amazon and mobilecityonline for less after they have been out for a few weeks.

I got my case today!!!!!! I probably could have waited but I hate not having a holster and I love the design of the seidio holsters. I do however wish I would have got the surface case instead of the active because of the rubber they use. Everything such as lint and dust stick to it.

Oh yea after a few weeks it goes down to like $40. And best buy will have them for $40 as well. I like buying from best buy although i have a Amazon Prime membership, because my belt clip always breaks 3-4 months down the road. Best Buy always let's me exchange it. Also anyone getting this case i would go with the Surface case. The Active will really look like your holding a tablet to your head lol. I bought both many times for smaller phones. Actually the active case is not very big at all. It is slightly and i mean slightly bigger than the surface case.

thinking about purchasing the surface combo..its $57 total /w shipping after using the fb10 code
my question is...for anyone that has it already...is it crazy to have a phone this size on your hip? i carried all my previous phones on a belt clip but im wondering if it would look or feel really weird to have an almost tablet attached to your hip

I use that on my belt to carry my Note II around. It's so big that it it looks like I have a purse or wallet on my hip. It looks absolutely ridiculous and I care not one bit lol. And really it only looks big because of the size of the leather pouch itself. If the phone was in a case and holster, I don't think it would look bad at all. I hate having a phone in my pocket. I've been dying for a Seidio Surface case + holster, but at $60 shipped, I'm going to wait until it hits $40 at Best Buy or Amazon.

So how else would you carry it? For myself, I'd be worried about messing it up in my pocket, plus I'd think it would be pretty uncomfortable.

I keep mine in my pocket all the time. It fits in my pocket better than my Amaze, it doesn't turn sideways in jeans or my slacks/suits.
I just make sure I don't have anything that can damage the phone in the same pocket. I also put it in my pocket with the screen facing my leg.

i dont know..for me the holster is really the only option that i want
many people put it in their pocket (honestly..idk how)...others buy the tablet-like cases and carry it as a tablet
girls can easily put it in their purses...as a guy i really dont have any ideas..which is why im hoping that buying a seidio combo works for me

Diztronic SGN II case in stock

I had their case for my Galaxy Nexus where it provided great protection and was also lightweight. I just ordered their case for the GN II and I'm excited to receive it. I went to the sprint store the other day looking for the bodyglove everyone has been talking about but ended up buying some bulky and heavy case from ventev.

Yes, the other one was first, but I prefer to see images of the case on the phone. (like I'm sure most users would)

My case shipped out yesterday so I should have pics by Thursday or Friday. As for cutouts there weren't any for the Galaxy Nexus and that did become a pain however with the few cases I've tried for the GN2 the lack of cutouts is not a problem.

ooh. looks like they will have a clear one too... don't want to hide that textured back of the GN2!

Just got my case in. I like it much better than the case from Cruzerlite.
Edit: First impressions. Love the matte finish and the smoothness of the back. I wasn't much of fan of the back of the Cruzerlite case, but I dealt with it. Vol Up/Down and power buttons seem a bit a "clickier".

I'm jealous! I am still waiting for mine.. hopefully tomorrow

Thanks for the reassurance. I'm waiting for mine. Bought mine on the 18th. Hopefully see it tomorrow as well.

Got the case yesterday and it is great! It doesn't slip, it's light, and offers very good protection. Without the case I would frequently hit the power button but there is less of that now. I wish I hadnt spent 30 bucks on that bulky ventev case from sprint.

If I didn't "need" a kickstand in a case, this would be my number 1 choice. Their case kicked ass on my Galaxy Nexus. This is the best slim type case with a great matte non slip finish, and the cost is always very reasonable. I wish Sammy made phones whose bodies were like this case lol.

Case cover for note 2 N7100 with good grip and double protection

I want to get me another protective case,cover for my sgs note 2 N7100. Currently i am using samsungs protective Cover+ and it's a bit to smooth, slippery when i am holding it and it only protects my phone from scratches
I have the tough case from case mate on my sgs 3 and i think i looks big compared to how small a sgs 3 is, especially compared to my current phone a note 2 which is bigger then a sgs 3. I would like to hear your opinions on how good the tough case for a note 2 N7100 is and if theres any cheaper alternatives i can get with free or at a resonable shipping to denmark (DealExtreme is so slow, more then 14 days i have waited for 2 cheap screen protectors for my note 2 with free shipping, so i don't wont to wait that long)

don't know how the shipping would be to Denmark but these are 2 of the best cases I've used on my note so far, thats saying a lot since I have a dozen lol.. they fit snug, have easy port/button access, feel nice and have grip and are totally worth the price IMO

The demand for it so overwhelming they ran out of stock. So whoever placed an order last month will be getting their case next week (you should check on the same page, someone already received it). Yeah, so they are out of stock but I'm sure it will be back soon. Just have to wait. Not sure what do you mean about reviews. There is only one post with someone who already received it on Sat and absolutely loves it. Wait till next week when you going to see a lot more detailed reviews in this forum.

I missed the part about Denmark! A lot of sellers have that case, though, and some are probably direct from China or HK. I imagine they would ship to you very reasonably.

Reviews of what? Nobody HAS it yet. People review a picture, and either say they "like it" or "hate it". Nobody has reviewed the actual product yet to confirm the quality and the fitment, which I'm sure not going to let us down.
I handled a number of Note 2 cases, read/watched a lot of reviews from actual note 2 users (not those "everything is great" reviews on YT because they want extra clicks). What I found, all these cheap ebay cases are OK as a temp solution, but the material is inferior and will stretch after awhile (especially those dual layer with silicon inner shell). Otterbox Defender is a massive brick with a flexing screen protector and people complaining about echo, Commuter has a slippery back, Seidio Active inner silicon will stretch and get loose at the top and the bottom after awhile (pulling away), Surface is pain in the arse with two interlocking halves, Ballistic corners are over exaggerated and bulky, Trident Aegis is nice but the back doesn't look even, even Beyond Cell Tri-Shield got some negative reviews with sub par material and inner silicon shell pulling away at the top/bottom, flip cases are nice to protect screen but not the whole phone protection and pain in the arse when you need to take a picture and/or constantly flip it open when you need to use the phone. Also, keep in mind if you want to use car mount, some of these cases will not fit in, etc. Again, this is just my personal opinion, everybody entitled to one and some will disagree with me. I'm looking for a case that you can lie down evenly on the back (without any wobble) or the front (thus also having a decent lip protection), power/volume buttons not too hard or too soft, case is not too bulky and slides in/out of the jeans pocket without picking up too much lint, fits in general grip car mounts, has a decent drop protection, easy to take phone out of the case and at the same time has a snug fit with no edges pulling away or loosing up after awhile, and with a unique design Is that too much to ask? lol!!! Hoping UAG case will be able to meet all these requirements, and Case-Mate Tough Case will be my back up case!

This is the only ebay case I haven't tried This one might actually work because it has plastic outer shell covering top/bottom. In mine temporary case I'm using right now (the first one in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36730711&postcount=714) it was great for about a month or two, but now the inner silicon at the bottom is pulling away and dust gets inside. Waiting for my UAG and Tough Case to arrive next week!!!

product is temporarily unavailable because all of their first batch has been pre sold, and it is currently chinese new years so more cases arent being made until after the 15 day holiday.
99% of the reviews on the page are useless since only a few of them actually have the physical case.
price i didnt have a problem with since someone on xda shared a discount code.

Sorry man if English is not your first language (I wasn't born in US either ), but these are NOT ACTUAL reviews of the product. The product just started to ship a few days ago. ALL of those reviews are from people who DO NOT have the case yet. They just looked at the picture and making a comment if they like the picture or do not like the picture. Did you read those reviews? Don't look at # of stars, those are people IMPRESSIONS of what they think about the product based on the picture on UAG site.
Do you want to read actual review of the product UAG already released? Go to Amazon and search for UAG Galaxy S3. You will find 933 reviews with an average rating of 4.75 stars. That is a reason why this case is so hyped up. People expect it to be as good as S3 case. The comments on Note 2 page of UAG are NOT reviews, those are comments about people either saying "looks cool" or "why did you change the design from S3 version". Plus, you get a few negative comments from people who are waiting for their case and still haven't received it yet. Those are comments with "effen" references lol!!!

I just was referring to the delivering problems they have, like people is saying they have ordered it and it took a long time before they started to ship it.
Watched this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySorsozRZxQ and the sgs 3 version looks different then the note 2 version (why? only because of the size difference?), how is the grip? the 2'nd custom review i so of the sgs 3 version thought it was a bit slippery, dont like the corners so much on the note 2 version, find them a bit to big,bulky.
When is it possible to buy one and is the price the same as the tough case (40 $) that i know has a good grip. Mabye i have missed something (if i did miss something i will read it again ), but why the UAG before the tough case?
I appreciate your opinions and i'd like to hear more opinions on a good case,cover for my note 2, i just don't want to buy the tough case if theres one that much better although i have the feeling that the tough case i one of the best, top of the line.

There was a coupon "friends50" that you could use with Tough Case to buy it for $20. You can't use it on-line anymore, but if you can contact them (probably calling directly is not an option for you?) maybe they can honor it?
Again, just my personal opinion since I have been "studying" these cases for the last couple of months I put UAG before Touch Case because of its lighter 1-piece design and a more modern urban look (I like the reversible orange/black grill on white Navigator for my white GN2), versus Tough Case offering blue/grey 2-piece design. I'm getting both of them to have my own hands'on experience. I know everybody raves about Tough Case, but I have to see how that inner bumper feels. So far I didn't like any designs with inner silicon cases, but read Tough Case inner bumper is more like TPU sturdy. Will see... Yes, I'm a little bit biased toward UAG, but it can all change once I have both in my hands and compare one to the other.

I've only had mine a month, but it looks exactly how it did when it was new. If you're looking to try others out, put this one on your list. I actually just ordered another in blue. My wife got a dark purple one, and it's so stunning, it makes my black one look boring and sad. The dark blue seems to have recently hit ebay, and I found it for $6.59 shipped. I hope it looks as nice as the purple.

great case but you can get it cheaper, I've seen that one and similar ones on ebay/amazon for close to half that price
