looking to join a team, wondering if anyone would like a graphic designer for themes
Everybody would love a graphic designer for their theme, I know I would on mine cause I don't know all that much in photoshop or gimp yet. Then again I am just learning everything myself, I know where the files go and how to sign and figure out problems

hey bro, if i were you, tackle some icons or status bars etc. use themes that are on here for ideas of what to modify using your skills. that's how alot of these new themes came about using concepts as ideas (look at the darkstar and experion themes). i think if you post what you can do, people will get a better understanding of how to utilize your talent on here. i checked out your site, and your skills are quite solid . good luck!

I have tried opening the original default GDE theme to give myself a basic template to work from. I edited many photos and have a theme ready to use, however I would love to change the name and information which is stored on the AndroidManifest.xml.
Last night I installed Eclipse and all android addons, however the AndroidManifest.xml in the GDE skin I've tried editing, will not open in Eclipse.
As I am new, I'm positive I'm doing something erroneous that's simple to fix or solve, but any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance to anybody who replies.

I'm an idiot, it literally took less than an hour of reading and investigating the xda forums.
Found the APKTool to edit and change the original GDE theme.
For those of you who actually look for themes for GDE still rather than metamorph, be looking for my themes.

I hope. I've tried all the home replacements, and GDE is the only one I'm really interested in. Anybody have any suggestions? I'm working on multiple colors of the hero first, nearly finished with them all..
If you all know any specific theme types I should work on that would target some crowd, all suggestions are appreciated.
theres a nexus, hero, cliq, and few other device ui's that are badass which have all been created..but no one has created an Espresso one..might wanna give that one a gander.
Funny, I didn't think of trying any of those, however the only one you mentioned having not being done yet, is the one that inspired me. Haha, I have an espresso one. It was created by someone I believe from this very community.

I been searching all over the web for a decent LCARS PADD skin for android
well got tired of looking decided to go ahead and make one for myself
This is my first Attempt at making a functional Lcars system
lot of hours went into searching and interface design simple to use
pain to design anyways let me know what you guys think this version is the first and is subject to change

but support for my work was pretty much none so unfortunately that is my de-motivator anyways best of luck guys

Your welcome. I love the theme. Although not a fan of Sweeterhome, I love the lookand feel of this theme. I am a classic trekkie so this is awesome to me. Great job on this. It looks amazing.

Is it me or did WM community have better skinners? Because all of the Android themes that I've seen are garbage!! We need so old school boys to start skinning android like Probex, S2W, the dude who makes the Dusk theme (sorry I forgot his name) Poorlyduck, theirs more just can't think of them right now. I do know however it is a bit more difficult to skin android as I'm porting over an old skin from manila 3d.
PS. Sorry if I offend anyone I'm just saying...
Its all a matter of opinion. I think some of the android themes are just stunning.
And ibwouldnt be surprised if some people took offence to this

I don't like the dusk theme or some probex themes. So ... Everyone to his own taste.
Ive owned more windows phones than Androids so far and id still say Android has some amazing skins. Yeah most of the Android skins have a more modern and minimalistic look but thats the time we are in.

Maybe and yes there are a couple that are not bad. But if you look at some of sense ones on the Market that they charge money for I mean come on!!

Your right everyone has there own taste. But those two gentlemen you just mention can draw circulars around just about anyone. Those two are probably the best skinners out there. But most people don't have an eye for detail..

Those are not that bad but it all depends what device you have what version of OS your running if your rooted or not. There's to many stipulations even if you want to run a custom skin. Its gonna take some getting use to this crap!!

They are the best skinners for you, for me all her jobs are awfull.

You don't have the whole truth
Too me its bout the same on both platforms..
On both I find that, there are a few themes I love. the rest have at least 3 or 4 things I dont like. ( too many colors, ugly etc ) but everyone is diff and likes very diff things..
Find a theme you kinda like. and build on it.. using the kitchen <----thats the easy way.. and its what I do instead of telling x guy your theme sucks put this in it or change that.. I always say good job regardless.. because this junk takes alot of time to do. and time is a luxury not alot of folks have like me.lol

In a nutshell...
Each to their own. Take a look at some of the MIUI themes here and here then tell me there's no creativity on Android. I sure don't miss the days of overly glossy/busy winmo themes.
And dude, don't cr#p where you eat. This is a dev forum where people put in countless hours to release work for free. If you don't like it you are free to speak up, but here is maybe not the best place to do so. Encouragement tends to be better received. Just sayin.

Relax man... not everyone is as great as you But seriously I know what it take's to build a theme and I released everything that I have ever done for free, as I have been doing this longer than you have been a member of this forum... And by all means I am not the best at what I do but I do ok and I could give a cr#p less what other people think. Oh and LOL!! I don't need to eat here I'll make my own themes for myself By the way your themes are ok, not bad!! Keep up the good work!! Is that encouragement enough for ya..

iPhone themes are much better than Android themes or WM themes in my opinion.
