Hi,
Does anyone know of a decent screen protector that will stick to and cover the curved edges of the screen. I guess it must use adhesive of some sort.
Not interested in the zagg products since I don't like the orange peel effect and the added resistance to finger gestures.
I put in a request to Wrapsol but they have no plans for producing for this model at the moment. Maybe if more people where to ask them they would? (hint hint)

I doubt many screen protectors will go around the curved sides, as they'll just end up peeling.

But all Protectors I have seen so far are relatively thick and not very flexible.
If you put on a normal one, that does not sit pervectly on the edges, I bet it will collect sand and dirt at its adhesive backside, even more scatching the class...

Yeah, on the other way that's why I'm not sure if it's really Gorilla Glass
Until I will see it on official Corning products list I won't be 100% sure

as the LG P990 display has a glas cover some of you will like the following screen protectors. I like that feeling of glas but when i scroll over it its pretty sticky and i cant scroll smooth. Thats maybe because of my fingers but ive heard that a lot.
So back to topic: Folix announced its screen protectors for the LG P990 on Amazon. My favorite for the last smartphones is the Folix Antireflex:

cant tell you yet because i just ordered it and i wont get it before 1. april (thats what amazon says). But i dont think it will be a problem.
The screen protectors on the amazon page look promising! I'll order one or 2 when they have them in stock. Lucky the optimus has a proper screen protector on it when shipped!
Okay that is kind of weird amazon just send me a mail that the screen protector is already shipped. i guess thats a mistake but well maybe they will be here by tomorrow but if so i could not test it because my pre order of the lg p990 is not out yet ... releae for germany is about this week.

I also read aboout GOrilla Glass and my got a scratch when having it in a jacket pocket and the only other things in the pocket was 2 screen wipes (the fabrik ones).

IDK, could it have been your keys, loose coins, debris on a table (where you had placed the screen over it)...? Personally, I trust that glass technology has improved to the point that cracks or fractures are less likely- but scratch proof? No way. Use a screen protector from Martin Fields, Zagg, or some other reputable brand.
First thing I did was removing the screen protector.
I realy don't need it, no scrash at all.

The width of the screenprotector shows that it will stop before the curved edge of the glass, so it should fit nice, but it will not cover the entire width of the glass. It will look just like the one the phone ships with.
Today Corning updated their site with featured devices - the O2X is there too!

I have had a O2X for a month. Actually, O2X's screen looks like a Gorilla Glass but I haven't really believed. Is it true?

It's mid-day & I am not drunk... I don't mean any insult but your post is very confusing.

Harder materials will scratch softer materials.
Basically:
Sand > Gorilla Glass > Metal > 'Standard' Glass
So if you take the 2X with you to a beach it may become scratched.

But after 1 weekend involving alcohol, it's full of tiny and some deep scratches. No idea how they got there, but it certainly isn't scratch proof

Hi guys, just wanted to share this video I made reviewing ZAGG's invisible sheild for the samsung galaxy ace.
Overall it is a great product, and I will highly recommend it. The only problem being that it is not a perfect fit, nevertheless it feels great and it is one of the few that offers a complete protection to the front, the back and the sides.

There is a little bit of friccion when sliding your finger across but nothing major
Ill rather recommend the cheap screenprotectors that are sold from eBay, fits perfectly and feel like ure actually not using a protector at all.

Possibly. 1st gen or not. its not bullet proof . id take the screen protector just to be safe.

I used XPEL "Ultimate" film which isn't too glossy, but they do make a "Stealth" film which is matte. Find a local dealer to you and see if they will give you a small chunk or maybe even put it on your phone for you.
You could try illumshield screen protectors comes in pack of 3. Has individual cutouts for camera, sensors and speaker for $4......amazon
Question, are there any perfect cut out screen protector for the G2's curved glass? I find most that are made too big and the edges doesn't stick to the glass due to the curved areas of the G2...

The G2 doesn't have curved glass? Or well at least mine doesn't.
I'm using an Xtreme Guard protector and it's working fine for me.
You can try the Tempered glasses
I use the Zaggs, just enough texture to be easy on the finger, crystal clear, and they're applied wet, so it's fairly easy to get them on right and squeegie out any bubbles or dust particles, which is very hard with the dry-apply ones.
Of course, if you're nervous about wetting down your screen, you might not want to try it.
THe Zagg originals are not really "glossy"...those are the ones that are hard to use, they're TOO smooth, causing too much resistance to your finger sliding. Zaggs are "clear" rather than glossy: there's a slight texture to them, enough to ditch the gloss, but not enough to affect the sharpness or color saturation.
They also look ugly as hell until they dry, but give it 24 hours before panicking. It's worth it.

It's a fair bit thicker, but I find it better due to the added protection it offers.

Toriet I am satisfy with my iloome screen protector however since vPro97 wrote about Panzer Glass I say to myself that is time to try something new.
Then I read the review about Panzer Glass and I thought that this one could be better than iloome.

so yeah no gorilla glass.... atleast they say. and they confirmed that it has the msm8274ab cpu. but then again no gorilla glass okay but the screen is hard? i had a lg l9 and the screen was just flexible plastic. it fell once on a little stone and the lcd broke, and touchscreen not i mean i could press on the lcd without any pressure. realy bad. the xiaomi mi3 atleast has a HARD screen i hope no flex/cheap plastic

i think there is a different between scratch resistant and shatter proof, and gorilla glass 3 is a scratch resistant.

And my lg L9 slipt out of my hands and fell on a rock. Little one but for that cheap plastic screen was enough to bend and touch the lcd and break it. I was choqued cause the the tou hscreen didnt break more (it already broke how dont know it was standing up on the ground and sliped and fell on the screen and broke the touchscreen. I was like wtf how. It was already on the ground didnt fall. Just sliped on the screen and broke the rouchscreen.
Bref bad experiancs with that cheap lg phone.

The glass broke from 1 cm fall.....
And the lcd broke 2 weeks later from a drop out of my hand to a stone. Normaly u would say the glass break nooo the LG isnt glass its plastic so it didnt break but flexed and broke the lcd... fricking dumb cheap phone
I think xiaomi doesnt use Gorilla Glass 3 anymore, they use Dragontrail glass.
