[Theme] Gingerbread Themed Aosp [3/22/11] - Fascinate Themes and Apps

It is a full Aosp build and not just the theme. Its built from jt1134's source
Currently this is based off the same source as JT's vanilla
Donate to Jt1134
all the images used were taken from http://www.github.com/android
Battery Percentage works now.
I got my vendor overlay on github if anyone wants to look at it.

This is still a work in progress. If you notice anything that isnt themed that you think should be just let me know.

Installation:
Install via clockwork
This is a themed rom. Its the whole rom but will flash over jt's vanilla just fine.
If you are coming from a touchwiz rom be sure to wipe data and cache.
Some other notes:
I havent gotten the Gingerbread wallpapers in the build yet. I will eventually when I have time. For now just use NexusKang from the market. The free version has the gingerbread wallpaper.
Kernel is no longer included in this build since voodoo is out. Flash one of the kernels below along with the rom.
Gingerbread Themed Aosp
Aosp kernel (RFS)
Aosp Voodoo Kernel
Gapps

well done as usual sir

Yes...Gingerbread for AOSP! Going to know move on from my trusty DJ05. Thank you sir!
Rockin' DJ05, Liberty Gingerbread, Clocked at 1.2ghz Voodoo

Yes, still on 2.1, waiting on some Gingerbread goodness, but might flash Vanilla Froyo.

Is this 2.3? Or 2.2 AOSP with GB theme?
Is everything working?

it is 2.2 with a gingerbread theme. Same things work/dont work as jt's vanilla since its built from his source.

Looks good OMJ. I'm playing with AOSP tonight and will def flash. Thanks.

Just updated. Menus are all fixed and I also changed some images in phone.apk so the in call screen looks much better now.
Im working on enlarging the battery icons to work with percentage. We shall see how it goes.

Well at least I won't have to do my own now
If you do manage to enlarge the battery icons, I'd like to request the option for non-enlarged as well (via spare parts or whatever). Your theme of course, just thought I'd ask. I never really use the battery % numbers.

I did get them enlarged but I didnt enlarge them very much at all only enough to be able to use the battery percentage on the smallest size. Im not sure about having it as an option in spare parts. I dont know how much that would entail.
Heres the old and new battery icons so you can see the difference.
If nothing else I can give you the pngs for the smaller one...you would just have to drop them in the framework before flashing

Well I tried last night and the new icons are a little off. I will try to make some changes again tonight to get them working.

Good deal. Have you thought about doing more of a bar style next to the percentage? Like in CM.

I got the icons working finally....I will have an updated build later tonight or tomorrow morning sometime

I centered the battery changed the font size to 10 and then actually had to add 4 pixels to the right side of the images.

Ill check it out and see if theres anything that can be done. I guess it should work on any CM6 variant, which is every froyo rom i think?
If there are any suggestions feel free to post them.

Could you make the buttons a little more squared? Like with sharp corners? i think that makes it look cleaner, and the only other thing i found, was that the lockscreen was a little weird i'll attach an image. It turns blue in only that little square, but thats it i'm loving the theme so far!

I can change the lock screen and make it black or red or regular color. Which buttons are you referring to be square? Do you mean the two that turn red when pressed?

All the devs updated their CM6 builds, which explains why it wont work at all. I forgot Cyan changes things like everyday, which mean a new test will be out everyday of so. That's the same reason I never did anny themes for his 2.1 or 1.6 roms, didnt like constant updates. But I'll wait till a 1.0 when things start to settle down and relax.Until then I probably wont change it. And I might try to figure out metamorph so I can do those instead of full themes.
Edit: Now new link is metamorph, and will work on any mdpi froyo rom

[THEME] Stock battery with %[FIXED]

The only thing that will change when this is applied is your battery will now display with a %.
Apply stockwithpercent.zip in Clockwork recovery.
Must have a de-odexed rom installed.
Everything seems to work fine.

Is there any way to get JUST the battery percentage without the battery graphic? I removed the graphics for this type of mod on my nexus, but the text size was rather small.
If it isn't too much trouble, could you make one with just a larger percentage with no graphic?
Just flashed it but percentage is stuck at 100%. Any ideas why?

Does this do single digits or just the 100/80/60/30/15/0?

Definitely 100/80/60/30/15/0. That's why I thought it was stuck at 100.

Sweet man im looking forward to it maybe i can get rid of my battery indicator.
BTW does this need any special app for the percentage to work?
v2.3 fixes battery charging animations, and correctly displays battery level when unplugged. Enjoy!
@ davidrules7778: No it does not require a special app only that you are running a deodexed rom.
Dude your awesome thanks so much worked perfectly on Noobnls rom and fluff kernal. With no touchwiz.
EDIT: Spoke too soon got a crap load of force closes. Is this rom not deodox? I assume i need touchwiz correct?
That is strange I am running Andromeda 1.0.3 with mixup kernel and it is working fine. This installs touchwiz if you removed it, but touchwiz can be disabled through settings as usual.
Is anyone else having problems?
Working GREAT for me on Andromeda 1.0.3.
Crake001 - If it's ok with you, do you mind if I post the zip for the circle mod (your work from above combined with the icons from Fightspit's Super Circle Mod) so you can add it to your original post for those who prefer the circle mod and don't know how to change it?

Andromeda doesn't format your data, so installing should keep things like they are just will probably fix your system.
Then just install this theme over that.
Should take about 2 minutes tops.

ya i know that however it puts touchwiz back on. And all the other crap i took off. and im just lazy and dont feel like removing them again.
Well since the first time i tried this i had to restore my data and lost some stuff cause i was getting infinity force close screens and the only way to turn off was remove the battery. So once i get my thing back i will do a new backup and then ill test it. BTW in the advance restore what should i restore to remove this stock battery thing without having to do all? Ive tried System and still got the force close. Would it be boot, data or the other one? Cause i did all and lost game saves apps and more cause i forgot to backup my new setup.

CM6 is fairly usable at beta2 in my opinion. A few quirks are still there which take a sec to work around (like changing the sdcard location so ROM manager- --> install ROM fails but their clockwork recovery works).
However, wifi/ gps/ a number of other things now works....

Darlow, I must admit my favourite parts of your themes are your custom spinners. Another awesome theme (must be cause your Canadian too).
Also, just a quick question, is there anyway to port a mdpi theme to a hdpi device? There's a glorious theme by the name of Minimal Matte in the general theme forum but it's mdpi. I don't even mind doing the porting myself, as long as it's possible.
How do you get simi clock to show the days of the week like that?

It may be as easy as putting the mdpi files in the hdpi folder, I can try that tonight. Just, everyone seems so interested in porting themes the other way.
darlow, this theme looks outstanding! It gets old seeing all the dark/black themes.
if you ever get the urge to port it over for perception, i'd be eternally grateful.
about to be using your red soul theme for lack of this one
I'd love to see a port for Assonance!!
I'd love to start work on a white theme like this for Perception. I'm rather new to the android scene though, so if anyone would be willing to help out beyond the basics listed in these forums, I think we could put together something nice with influence from this and the original Avalon themes.

Yeah even with dj05 in the title i figured there might be some.confusion
Def wanna flash this bad boy...will it work over JT's SuperClean DJ05?
Nitsuj17. Those drop down icons would look good in your galaxy red theme. Highlighted red when "on" would be cool.
Nice work as always.

No, I mean when you get a call when the screen is off, you have to slide the puzzle pieces, there is one that says answer and the other says ignore.
I know how to ditch the lock screen.

Excellent work! Any chance of adding circular battery mod to this? It would look great with the version D images found in s44's battery mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849696

i will be adding a battery mod version in the next day or so
when you add the battery mod to it, can you leave the battery the same and just put the percent in it. That way it keeps the "aosp" asthetics. Circular battery just ruins the whole completness of the theme. or atleast give an option to choose either...

How about every 1% theres an increment? ok jk, how about every 5-10% in battery life goes down, another incremement? Thanks, it really does look nicer with the icons on my gtab flashback 10
Thanks so much for this! Installed and running perfectly on Flashback 10.0!
Out of curiousity, do you know why the "shadow" behind the status bar menu has moved to the left from the edge of the screen? (See screenshot 2 in OP.) I don't believe it was like that prior to flashing this.
Also, I tried to get the battery icon swapped out to a circle type with 100 increments, and only ended up frustrated (probably because it was my first stab at it). Tried swapping XMLs, loading the PNGs to different folders, UOT Kitchen, etc. Just don't know how to make the G Tab get the new icons for all of the new increments.
works great on gtab comb 3.3! Thanks

Honeycomb doesn't support the 1% battery increments. And yes i do, it's because the screen density on the gtablet for honeycomb is 120, but usually on honeycomb it is 160. I will try to fix that.

Don't know if you've had any time or luck with this, but I wanted to share that I just reloaded Flashback 10.0 from a wiped clean tablet, and the notification "shadow" was actually not there at all. So maybe there is a way to just turn it off or remove it from the framework? I'll dig around and see if I have any luck. If you know where it is exactly and/or what it's called, let me know.
Thanks again.
Hello,
sorry for the noob question. Do you just go to CWM and install the zip file through there? Just like installing ROM?
Looks cool and many thanks.

Thanks for the quick response. How do you go back if you decided not to use this theme? I'm on Flashback 10.0.
Thank you again for your help.
I just made a backup in CWM (standard process for any changes I make to a Rom). If you don't like it just restore in CWM and you're back to right before you installed it. (I'm also on Flashback 10.0.)

Just curious, if we don't do a clean install on Flashback, since mine has been pretty stable, do you know how to fix the shadow behind the status bar like was mention in this thread?
Many thanks/
