there are a few sites that i would like to add to my plug in...
i tried searching the forums..but, i failed... so, if it exists allready... im sorry...
does any one know how to add a site to the player ?
i.e.
when you click a link on youtube.com, it opens up a box that says
play video
save video

how do i make that happen on other sites? is there a registry somewehere?
the one in particular that i want is...uhhh....adult. works just like youtube... but its you_orn.com

oh, and btw i sometimes do some research with redtube
haha ... i can definatly change the htm file to accommodate...i edited it once for dutties rom..not sure if he did anything with it... i made the bg match the rest of the rom (black theme) and i made the text a little larger for finger friendly-ness
if your interested, i can forward it to you alex... btw, i dig the att rom.. it boots lightening fast..

it still wont work, i dont think... i think there is another place that has to be changed..the html doc is just a simple link...

it works with a ie plugin, videoloader.dll
i added it to the html... wich loaded the page...but the vids still dont work
i tried to open and edit the dll with PE EXPLORER.... no dice...
im a web dev... dll etc arent my area....
I was browsing Slashdot on my phone, and there was a link to a YouTube video... clicked it and the same menu came up to play, save, or link.
So it has to be something more then the HTM file, right? Something to recognize the source of the link and act accordingly?

i dont think so, because if you navigate to youtube with out it... it still works...
i did read in the link above that a site OVGUIDE.com had some that worked..
its all about how they fetch the flv... if they do it just like youtube or oneof the ones that allready work.... it will work...

I used to get .jar's there when I had my P900 and Symbian. But they should work on the wing too, if the screen size is the same.
thanks... some games uses 1 3 7 9 and etc... so when i push my my wing i can't see half of the screen on the game... something that sucks about it.

Ah, another ex-symbian user. I used to be a S60 user, though. I had the Nokia 3650. That phone was weird... I still can't believe I used that keyboard... but it was actually pretty well designed. Ugly... but well designed.

I just put mine on a folder that i created on my sd. but after you install them i have no idea where they go, but java finds them. i actually asked for some help on finding the location and moving to sd card, but to no avail.
on another note, how is that open touch v5.3 working out? i cant wait til its released

so were you able to install the games? because i did the same thing you did and when its finds it, it takes me to this screen where it shows a root folder. upon doing so when i press install it says that the file root or something is not located. i'll provide some screenshots later on after work.
open touch v5.3 is working flawlessly for me. you should give it a try. it will take some time to get use to but it's just as fast as one of his lite or micro versions IMO.

yes i have installed games and i have been playing them. most of the games work, about 90%. make sure you are selecting from the 240X320. as far as the local root folder issue goes, just create a folder when prompted. i'll try to use the screen shot software and make a walk-thru for ya.

I downloaded the Jad files onto my desktop computer and placed them in the storage card. Opera/Esmertec Jbed finds the files but it gives me the roots error message ..

The Jad is only the installer. The Jar is the actual game file itself. You need both.

how did you get devil may cry to boot up? isn't it 3D? also are you using your d-pad or keyboard number?
hi, i have the igo 8.4.2 program (i dont remember exactly the version) now when i install it on the nexus it works as for lower resolution...
after some search on the internet i found that the file data.gro needs to be changed... ive got the gro converter and found the file of the resolutions and changed it, packed back and everything but the program gives then an error that it works only in 320X240 or it cant find the correct skin...
can someone help me how to correct it? i have a version of motonav and it works on a correct resolution but i want the normal one with the bright skin to work...

As for your question, I can't help, sorry ^^
There is no data.gro for Nexus currently, because nobody made it. Use MotoNav instead of iGO - data.gro for Nexus has been made for it. If you use some googling, you'll easily find that out yourself, together with instructions for installation and what not.
if you didnt understand, i know there is no data.gro of igo for nexus. i want to create it myself by modifying the original one from the hero and so on... and i need help with it.
Oh well.. Put the following into Google:

and it'll bring you to GPSUnderground guide. The site is not available right now, but will probably be back soon.
You can open up the data.gro from MotoNav and iGO and compare them. They're using differently named skins with different parameters, but you might use some of the BMP files from Nexus-adjusted MotoNav to save you some work. I started doing it and got lazy, having no real wish to upscale the BMPs and work out the skin settings manually. There are skin editors, I think, that might help saving some time. I didn't download any, so I can't suggest any.

Why whenever I copy a new data.gro file to the iGO directory, iGO starts with the same UI as installed with?
I've managed doing it one and couldn't repeat it again since...
Any insights?

Update: Got it to work and it works well. Reminds me of the Palm IIIx graffiti instead of the TX version. Love it.

There is what you have to to to create a GameList.
Afterwards - Upload your "Covers" and "Roms" folders to a webserver, as well as the GameList.xml
Then just enter this URL in the Game Settings. Et volià.
Where is the .xap? I'm getting the .zip, but there is no XAP file inside it.

Thanks...tried the Gamelist and added some roms... I have now ready the 3 files you said....
but didnt understand what you really meant when you said of uploading it to a "webserver"....you mean ...megaupload/rapidshare...and that sort of?...
or...is it another thing?

You'll need a real webserver where you can access those files. So Rapidshare, e.g. is not an option.
Just wondering, what does the little Floppy Disc button do on the Individual Game page? It's greyed out for all of my games.

I have an issue with the GameList.xml.
I created it with "GameListCreator", then I redirected "GameList.xml", "Roms" and "Covers" with HFS (HTTP File Server), shut off the Firewall, pointed to the URL of the XML but I obtained the following error :
"Can't load the game List ! The format of the GameList is not valid !
NullReferenceException"
I tried your GameList.xml but I have the same issue.
So I tried to replace "Roms\" by "Roms/" and "Covers\" by "Covers/" in the xml file, unfortunately nothing change
