[INFO/GUIDE] Can you recommend some good RSS feeds? (socialcasting added) - Off-topic

I haven't found anywhere which has a good list of RSS Feeds which are good for us XDA type people.
Interested in both normal RSS Feeds and Podcasts (i.e.Video, Audio).
I would also like to know if there is a way to get the XdaTv videos using a podcast too (to me this would be the obvious way to distribute them).
To get things started, here are some of my favs (I may add any I particularly like here - with credit of course).
Details about the feed items, such as are they complete articles or shortened versions (i.e. you have to visit the site to read it all), how often are they updated, general description etc would also be useful.
Keys:
UPDATES: DAILY+, DAILY, WEEKLY+, WEEKLY, MONTHLY etc
ARTICLES: DETAILED, FULL, SHORT
PODCAST: VIDEO, AUDIO

Facebook
You have two options:
1) The RSSTab (WinMob) (see signiture) has a special ability to create Facebook feeds using the Facebook API of your News, Notifications and Friends walls, as well as ability to comment, post and like each entry directly from the RSSTab.
Here are basic details of the functionality:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14336549#post14336549
2) Facebook also provides some limited feeds directly:
Notifications:
Code:
http://www.facebook.com/notifications.php?id=[YOURUSERIDNUMBER]
Friends' Facebook Links
Code:
http://www.facebook.com/posted.php
Friends' Facebook Notes
Code:
http://www.facebook.com/notes.php?friends&id=[YOURUSERIDNUMBER]
Friends' Facebook Status Updates
Code:
http://www.facebook.com/friends.php?s&id=[YOURUSERIDNUMBER]
Obviously the data you get will depend on the account previously logged into facebook and the related person's privacy settings.
Twitter
You can add the following feeds to view your twitter's.
RSSTab Twitter Feed - http://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.rss?screen_name=rsstab
Code:
http://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.rss?screen_name=[username]
Google+
lifehacker - Create RSS Feeds for Google+ Profiles
Basically a case of finding the profile ID and adding it to http://plusfeed.appspot.com/:
Google+ David Galloway (LifeHacker Editor) Feed - http://plusfeed.appspot.com/111668640050600254907
Code:
http://plusfeed.appspot.com/[PROFILEID]

The quest continues...
The XdaTV podcast is up and running nicely. I aim to update it every week or so, so videos will probably appear in blocks of 3-5, depending on how up to date I am with my viewing. Simply can't recommend it enough, great things are a-happenin.
I've also added Lifehacker, a new podcast from the site of the same name, looks good so far, plenty of polish and shine, but interesting so far.
In addition to this, I will experiment at some point with a "feed of feeds"...the idea being that new podcasts and rss feeds will be put in a feed and the RSSTab will then detect the feed urls in the rss posts and give you the option to add it to your feeds. It could be an interesting way to share and enjoy new rss feeds and podcasts.
I've not seen it before, but I would be interested to know if it has been done or not.
In fact, the concept of the "feed of feeds" could be quite interesting as anyone could create a list of favorite feeds, which could then be added as a list too, so you get a "feed of feeds of feeds"...ok!

Now added the official XdaTv Podcast feed!

So, we're supposed to understand that last part?
Btw would it be possible to put the XDA podcasts on iTunes? That's my usual route when it comes to podcasts so it would be more convenient for me.

Most of that is out of date, since we now have a proper podcasts.
The last part, is some thoughts I was having for sharing podcasts around since I find it a hassle to find good feeds online and then transfer them to my phone, google reader etc etc, since mobile devices aren't too great at finding and checking out feeds.
I don't think there is any reason why we can't put the XdaPodcast on itunes, but it's only been released today (as I've just completed the app for updating it).
Once we are confident of the update process then it'll get posted, as it makes sense to be sure it works and we can keep it updated quickly.
PS: The feed is quite easy to add manually, as I tried to make the url as easy as possible!
http://feeds.feedburner.com/XdaTv

I've just updated the first post to include information of Social Casting RSS Feeds, using the instructions provided you should be able to easily be able to set up feeds for Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
Also if you are a Google Reader user, if you use the above feeds, then it seems like google will fetch the data using their own servers (which for me means my work web filtering does not block them!).

Sport italia used to have their schedule here:
http://www.sportitalia.com/guidatv.aspx
However, altough the page is still there, I cannot see anything...
Rai Sport has it on http://www.rai.tv/, you have to select under "Diretta TV" the Rai Sport channels
Unfortunately I do not know about RSS, only about these sites...
Thanks for the feedback anyway, keep up the good work!

Thanks, problem is that sifting through those page html isn't always safe and actually quite boring, but I will try what I can do in spare time. I think a big uniform resource for channels could give a huge help, but there is no sight of it
Updated to 1.4, better interface, some fixes and TTS

Insites - Social Web Feeder

Hey all,
We just launched our next generation webbing app:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Insites
Your Visual & Social Web Feeder.
Browse socially through various interesting Websites Teasers. View, Capture, Create & Share any frame from the web.
By using Insites, you can crop any frame from any website using an intuitive cropping tool, design it with an in-app image editor, mark it as "Public" or "Private", tag the image to related topics (called “Domains”, i.e. #hashtags) and add a personal comment/thought.
Unlike Pinterest, with Insites you get to decide what frame you want to share.
You can save any Insite to your Evernote account, share on Facebook or in any other social network.
You can create a new Insite via browsers and other app (using "Share").
Insites let you browse the web visually, and get a little taste, a “teaser” if you like, of any website.
You can use it as your visual web feeder.
nice
Looks pretty cool. I'll check it out.
