LauncherPro/WidgetLocker 2.0 Honeycomb Theme - Android Themes

So I figured I would have a go at making a Android 3.0 Honeycomb theme for the new WidgetLocker 2.0 and LauncherPro and this is what I came up with so let me know what you think. For the lockscreen I just added a custom slider, deactivated the two sliders on the sides, set the middle button to the unlock action, and then added a custom Honeycomb unlock icon. The lockscreen clock is a Honeycomb Themed Beautiful Widgets SuperClock. The download includes the wallpaper, the unlock icon, and the dockbar icons.

You have to download WidgetLocker from the Android Market https://market.android.com/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker&feature=search_result

Haha I HAVE widgetlocker 2.0. Its just not giving the option to install the theme, as I have done with many others listed in other threads.

OH ok, its not like an actual theme for WidgetLocker its just an icon to be used with it, so just add a custom slider and use the middle shortcut as an unlock action and then change the icon to the one in the download

First you need Widgetlocker 2.0 then put your themes into /sdcard/data/com.teslacoil.. directory, make sure the themes have the NAME.wItheme.zip as it wont recognize it. and then go to widgetlocker screen locked ckick to ADD new slider and there you have the option to change theme or download themes.

Hi,
How can I move widgets? If I long tap on them they won't move and I cant find an option "unlock widgets" as in the standart theme of throttle launcher.
hope you can help me.
Luke
Is there a way to see more of screens or videos of this in use?
Very sexy!
I definitely would leave Sense if you get this one more advanced!
I optimized the programpanel and added a notification slider at the top (like on the concept-images) already; if you'd like to work together just contact me.

Anybody who is interested in my updates can download the new version here or in the attachments of this post. I included an option to unlock the widgets. Haven't found another one... (Check the screenshots)

[REQ]Icons for mail/messages

Okay so I was browsing this forum a while back and I remember coming across a thread/post that had multiple icons for notifications, e.g an icon for gmail and then an icon when you get a few mails etc
I can't seem to find that again despite busting my ass looking for it
So I was wondering if something like that actually exists and if it's possible to use icons like that via bettercut/folderorg lite? I have a HTC Desire so unfortunately metamorph is out of the question...

But not for launcherpro/ADW launcher. I'd like to be able to stick it on the homescreen.
Though if you can guide me the way of icons of that fashion that I can use in docks too I'd appreciate it tremendously!

In my Hero the stock SMS icon when placed in the homescreen does that without any modification, running stock 2.1, then again it may be because of Sense, I don't know
What you see in my screenshot is LauncherPro, to customize the icons of your dock just create a folder in your SD called "Custom" or whatever you like and put there the icons, for that screenshot I used the RoughDraft icons founs in MacThemes (http://macthemes.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16803227), they already have transparency so you only have to copy-paste the ones you want into the SD folder.
Next press the icon in your LauncherPro dock that you want to change and select "Change icon" from the menu that will pop up, open the Gallery and select the icon you want
When you are done, if you create a blank file in the folder where you have the icons and rename it to ".nomedia" without the quotes, the images inside that folder (the icons you're using for the dock) won't apear no more in the gallery when you open it to see your camera pictures.

A simple icon can not do that, it would have to be either built into the launcher or it would need to be a widget (Handcent has that). They might have some widgets on the market

Black minimal Icons

I've made my own minimal icons to mimic the ones by Ultralinx, but in black.
I thought you guys might want them, I think they look a lot better with themes like Revolution that have very dark status bars.
Two PSD files, a font, and a readme file are included to help you make your own icon.
You need to use desktop visualizer to apply these icons, and use astro to choose the file instead of the gallery, because the background of the previews in the gallery is the same color as the icons and you cant tell which is which

SiMi Clock
Ok, I use SiMi Clock too, but how are you getting an extension of the vertical line in SiMi? Which beautiful widgets weather skin is that?
What weather widget is that you're using?
Confused.
Im sorta at a loss here, I have used to Desktop Vis. as well as setting up me icos side to side of the "Launcher Pro" home icon. How do I change that one and get the "Launch opition for the Apps menu".
Im currently running 1.4.1 Blackhole with Launcher Pro.
Do I need to Uninstall Launcher Pro and then apply?
Also how are you getting the extension of the black line on SiMi??
EDIT: The weather is Beautiful Widgets and the skin is called "Tick"
Still can't figure out how to get the extension of the line down and how to pull the weather all to one side, I'm still getting it all the way across with NO black line.
Also whats the Wallpaper your using? Looks really nice together.

I used Launcher pro (needs to be the pay version, free doesn't support resizing).
Add the weather widget.
Add Simi clock.
Position the weather widget where you want it to be
Hold on the Simi clock widget to activate launcher pro's resizing.
Drag the box down as far as you want.
The line should extend down as far as the box is drawn.

[HOW-TO]Resize your widgets using LPP | Updated 01 Dec

Resize your widgets
for a better looking homescreen!
Requirements:
- LauncherPro Plus (Alternatively ADW Launcher)
- A lot of patience (seriously) - resizing can be a *****
- And some sweet widgets!
This can be done with basically any widget. I re-did the entire post so let me know if you need actual instructions.
I think the screenshots are pretty self-explanatory but feel free to PM me or reply to the thread with suggestions.

I was informed of adding widgets this way by Hollywood. Earlier I did it inversely - but this way the widgets won't overlap the wrong way
if you reboot and stuff like that. All your widgets will stay where they are until you move or resize them again.
Reserved
Reservation in case I need it.
Another reservation
What the hell.
I'm gonna reserve this one aswell.

I'm using NeutraFace and it's super expensive. I'm not the one to suggest warez but a quick Google search might land you the font.
If you add the widget you want as background first, it will be okay when you restart the phone. It will not look good before the restart but after a restart it will be just fine.
You can resize it last of the widgets but remember to add it first of all.

Great tutorial!
Just wondering, how is it that your widget list combines your items. Meaning, for gTab simi clock, it just shows its listed one time then in () it shows u have 4 options, whereas in mine it actually list all 4 items. (see screenshot) Therefore my widget list is hella long. Wondering of u used an app to condense the list?
EDIT: Nevermind. I found it Its called AppWidgetPicker
Hi. I'm trying to install one of your SMS Unread Widget Mod without success. Can you post the correct way of doing this?
Thx...
You don't need to modify SMS Unread Count - You can add custom images to your SDcard > data > kankosmswidget. Just drop your images (.png) there and choose Custom Icon when you add SMS Unread Count.
I'm on the Oxygen ROM - I'm pretty sure most 'new' AOSP ROMs have that feature. Either way I've had it since I first got my Desire and tried out OpenDesire. It's not an application or anything that does it - It's the ROM.
I'll be updating this post soon so stay tuned.

[Q] Metro UI Lockscreen on Android ?

Yesterday I visited a mobile shop and checked HTC HD7 . If I have to be truthful the only thing that I liked about it was the Lockscreen . Pretty cool one
So my questions is :
Is there any program or whatever , that can provide Metro UI/WP7 lockscreen to android device
Thanks
I'd be interested too!
I've tried WidgetLocker and added a WP7-look alike widget but... meh.
If anyone can whip one up really quick, that would be AWESOME!
Just get widgetlocker and make it look like the wp7 lockscreen.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
I don't see what makes it special.
WidgetLocker could do that any day, lol.
I actually was also very interested in the WP7 lockscreen
Like mentionned I tried widgetlocker but it doesn't slide down the whole background so it's not really nice
@ OP
I saw a video on youtube that someone had a similar lockscreen to WP7 and I think he was using lockbot pro
so try that
Downloaded both LockBOT Pro ( latest version 1.6.8 ) and WidgetLocker ( v2.0 ).
Both of them have 6 lockscreen themes/styles , without including WP7/METRO UI one .. They have Hero/iphone/eclair/galaxyS/Xperia/Sense , I couldn't manage to find WP7 or anything like that ..
Any advices ?
here is mine

of course not,but what of that
if we have invisible sense theme,we can unlock it by slide down
I have a couple of examples on my DeviantART
under the same username
follow these instructions:
1. Download LockbotPro
2. Make a new Lockscreen (htc hero style) in Lockbot
3. Put the slider on top of the screen.
4. Make it transparent
5. Set a Wallpaper
6. Set a clock
7. Save changes and set it as Lockscreen
Yeah I know that through LockBot or WL I can customize my lockscreen wallpaper , put clock ( as same as the one in WP7 ) .
But what I wanted was to have the same style and effect of unlocking as the one in WP7/Metro UI
Watch , please this video. Its exactly what I meant !
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jb8fyBd7HBM
IM INLOVE WITH IT !
If only there was a way to port this on android device : )))
well that tutorial i posted for lockbot is based on this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YXoVK0LgB0
it almost looks like the WP7
you can slide the whole background image down to unveil your homescreen

1. Just create a transparent .png and save it on your SD. Then when you create click on menu - style - hero, you can then move the slider and if you click on the slider, it will give you more options and one of them is "Change Slider". From there you just find the png in your SD card and that's it.
2. that is unfortunately not possible since it only has one type of digital clock and you can only change the size of font and the font...I think that the dev should integrate the option to set widgets on the lockscreen like widget locker
Thank you alot : )))
