How to install animated backgrounds?? - Kyocera Zio M6000

well i found many posts on people showing there backgrounds with downloads and stuff but they never explain how to install or use them. i was wondering if anyone know a post to re direct me to or website that could help me install them. or just tell me here if you feel like it.
(on the side note can the Zio even use animated backgrounds?)

ya, they are called live wallpapers and there is a whole mess of them on the market. As far as installing, they install the same way everything from the market does. When you want to use them click the "menu" and then "wallpaper" and choose "live wallpapers" from the list. Ther is also a website where you can surf these wall papers.

You should have live wallpapers. They were preloaded on the 2.2 update. You may have to redo the update.

Thats almost impossible. They would have to write out the api. I dont think they would waste their time.

I could backup the live wallpapers.apk and you could try to install it.

I would like to see what other people’s home/lock screens look like.
How do I take a screenshot of mine? Is there an application for that somewhere?
If someone could point me to the best reference areas I would appreciate it.
Thanks.
Please! share your home/lock screens with me.
Hey churapa, there are apps for that, but the Android SDK is the easiest way. Just enable USB debugging, open ddms from the SDK\tools folder, make sure you can see your phone, and press Ctrl+S.

It's an apk called "free memory", it manages apks and frees up memory space according to your settings. It's freeware and you can google for it.

First, you have to root your phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=710677
Second, flash the room of your liking, I personally prefer attn1's Liberated B05:

Third, install whichever apk you wish, just read the forums, that way you'll learn hands on the job, believe me, it's the best way to go.

Now that more and more themes are rolling out for the Fascinate I figured it would be time to start a Fascinate specific thread with screenshots of your layouts/themes. Pull them, edit images, push back into system. Don't worry I will release a flashable zip for the themed widgets.

Correct on the widgets, they were actually started by someone else but lynx took over at one point.
All your system apps will be in system/app and installed or market apps in data/app.
I will release a zip that will push any themed widgets to system/app.

Is it possible to change icons? If so, how?

If you use launcher pro from the market as your launcher you can change the icons and the name too...

Download Desktop Visualizer from the Market. Allows you to put custom icon shortcuts anywhere on your desktop for just about anything. You can't change any of the taskbar or menu icons, but it does allow you to change/customize any icons you put on your desktop home screens.

Haha, thanks for the compliment! It really wasn't that hard to be honest. Just resize the png, rename it, and find where to put it. Once you figure out that you can open .apk files with 7zip, the rest is a cake walk!
The problem with most n00bs is that they don't want to get their hands dirty... and the laziness! Haha.

[Q] using widgetlocker on nook color

hey all,
Can anyone help me get a custom lockscreen working? I'm using widgetlocker, and I want unlock on the left and a program shortcut on the right... these two things are on the same bar. whenever I try to select a specific app or program, widgetlocker seems to crash then restart. I've seen others on these forums have accomplished this, but no one has explained how. any ideas?

I use WidgetLocker on my NC.
You can't use shortcuts to programs at all unfortunately. It auto-crashes WidgetLocker.
Not much you can do.
And I doubt the author would care to research why it does this on the NC.
Only thing I can think of is to ask if this happens on a Galaxy Tab too.

Possibly, but here's the deal- I got the idea in my head after looking at this page ht tp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=860404&page=17 (sorry can't post links... just remove the space from "ht tp")
About 3 posts from the top, you will see a lockscreen with Dolphin Browser on the right. Either this is a cruel trick, or there's some workaround WE just don't know about... and I'm betting on the latter.

HTC SENSE 7 LAUNCHER FOR S6/S6 EDGE
Ok guys, so far this is just a base for a project, currently my device doesn't have root, therefore I'm doing what i can without. Therefore here is the sense 7 launcher working that can be installed on your Galaxy S6/Edge. Install both APK'S
Once/IF we get root i can definitely get things working better. However, in the meantime, when placing widgets you can jut tap them, and move them later.
