[Q] Problem Power Button Bootloder?? - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone! My nexus one's power button doesn't work, but i use without problems for a long time, because i installed a ROM for trackball wake and turn on quit the batery for many times, so any problem.. Now the problem is that i need enter to bootloder for install a new ROM, because I wipe all data! But is impossible without the power button key, i try everthing! What can do? Thanks!!

Do you have USB debugging enabled?
In that case - "adb reboot recovery" will reboot you into recovery without the need to get into bootloader.
In case you don't, but you have unlocked bootloader - you can download the recovery image to your HD, rename it to recovery.img and just execute "fastboot boot recovery.img".

How do this? If my phone, power button malfuntion, and can´t enter to bootloder.. Thanks

Pull the battery, and hold the trackball while re-inserting the battery. That will get you to the bootloader fastboot screen (keep trying, it may not work the first time).
Once in bootloader, hook up to your pc, and use fastboot from the pc to unlock the bootloader (fastboot oem unlock), then use top boot into recovery (fastboot boot recovery.img). You will need a recovery.img file in your sdk tools folder...
Recovery uses trackball for navigation...

Ur god men!!! But have the same problem, need power button key to continue the process..

Where are you stuck?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App

In the fastboot oem unlock, "press the volume up/down to select yes or no. Then press the power button to continue."

Sorry dude, it's that long since I'd done this, I'd forgotten about that...
Not sure what your options are now...
Have you tried passimg to get a working system?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App

MMMM, no.. Can I, install a recovery or flash my phone without unlock the bootloder? Or get root? Thanks!

Yes!
Follow this guide for unlock/restore, using the passimg method and FRG33 (link located on the word "here" on step 2):

Plese, help! I brick my RAZR I by root.exe

I have a big problem.
I foolishly ran Root.exe. From This set:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33018495&postcount=37
But a bootloader had NOT unlocked.
Now the phone is launched only in Fastboot mode: "AP Fastboot flash Mode (secure boot)".
Hanging menu with white blue and yellow at the bottom of the inscriptions.
That's all. Reloads - again this menu.
There is an inscription (in blue):
- Normal Powerup
- Recovery
- Factory
Etc.
Can scroll menu by button VOL-
When i press VOL + writes - "Fastboot menu disabled".
If press the Power, the screen goes out when press Power again - it`s boot - again all in the same Fastboot menu.
It can generally return to functional, normal mode?
I would be very grateful for your advices
When you're in AP Fastboot, try to flash an Retail EU Fastboot with RSD 6.1.4. (Use an Brazil one, when you got an Latam RazR)

I unlock the bootloader, but how do I flash the home-made fastboot? The FlashanRoot.bat get stuck on press any key. :C
AW: Plese, help! I brick my RAZR I by root.exe
When you use an JB Homemade and stuck in AP you have to edit the bat and delete the first 2 adb lines (adb push..., adb reboot)
After that start the bat.

I'm using a ICS Home-made. I erase the same two lines?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
You need to remove;
adb wait-for-device push RAZRiRoot2.zip /sdcard/RAZRiRoot2.zip
adb reboot bootloader
From the FlashAndRoot.bat file, right click and select edit, this will open the bat file up in notepad. Remove the above lines, connect your razr to your pc by USB in fastboot mode (vol down + power). Double click the .bat file and you should be done, it takes about 20 mins to flash.

[Q] HELP!

I know this is probably posted in the wrong forum but i only have 5 posts....
i flashed the bulletproof kernal from the HTC ONE forum and now my phone is in a boot loop..
i can get into the bootloader but when i try to go into recovery it wont load.
also device is not recognized by pc when connected by usb...
how can i get into twrp to factory reset and flash the viperrom or stock rooted rom?
Seeing as our sprint variant HTC one doesn't have any custom kernels as of yet, you flashed something that does not belong. This is a big no no and you've probably killed your device. You can try hard resetting by holding down the power button until the capacitive buttons stop blinking, then holding volume down and power to get to boot loader, then navigate to recovery. I'm pretty sure you're SOL though.

whew!! ADB Fastboot saved me, loaded TWRP again through the command prompt and then reflashed the viperrom....!! restoring TB now!
Noted that i will not flash anymore kernals that are not for my phone!
Crisis averted!!

Did you do :
"fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" ?
I'm still bootlooping...
Once I got the bootloader to connect fastboot usb, I direct download the twrp recovery .img then In the command prompt
Fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Then I was able to get into recovery from the bootloader and wipe and reflash viperROM

fastboot reboot in cmd
Sounds like maybe you have hboot 1.54? fastboot boot recovery.img doesn't work on 1.54. Holding volume down and power has 100% success rate for me for rebooting to bootloader.

All you need to do is make sure you install the htc drivers and also try and install the adb fastboot universal driver from xda. It provides a lot of useful drivers. Just follow these steps:
Turn off your phone
Hold the volume down button and then hold both the vol down and power button until HBOOT pops up.
Then scroll to the fastboot option with the volume keys and press the power button.
Now your in fastboot. You can now connect your phone to your computer.
Next on your pc search device manager and open device manager.
Check and make sure under android usb devices it says my htc.
Now open command prompt without elevated permissions.
Enter fastboot devices and it should show your device.
You are now ready to flash the recovery.
Download the recovery image and rename it rec.img and type something like "fastboot flash recovery C:/Users/***/Downloads/rec.img" without the quotations.
After it finishes just scroll to the HBOOT option on your device and click the power button and scroll to the recovery option and click the power button. Bam TWRP on your desire.

If your having trouble still just look over the root and the recovery threads.

Have you tried it from your PC?
fastboot reboot-bootloader
How can you run fastboot commands if your not in fastbbot-bootloader?
"my phone doesn't enter into fast boot mode"
(General message - see what I did there? No need to repeat the entire post. Just the part I'm responding to.)
Does this mean that you can't get to bootloader? Is your bootloader unlocked? When you reboot do you see the open padlock symbol?
So what did you do to brick your device?

With USB connected, from a cmd prompt I do:
adb devices (to load the drivers and make sure my phone is recognized)
adb reboot bootloader (this should put you in bootloader mode)
fastboot devices (just to be sure my phone is still recognized)
fastboot flash radio radio.img (or whatever image you want to flash)
fastboot reboot-bootloader (in between flashes, just to be safe)
I do so hate it when people don't bother to read my posts properly. It takes away my incentive to try to help them...
"No need to repeat the entire post. Just the part I'm responding to."
"So what did you do to brick your device?" Install the custom ROM you mention?
And a new question. You say "no matter wat buttons i press". Does that include the bootloader power & volume down simultaneous press for maybe 30 seconds?
So there are 3 items in this post. Can I have 3 responses please? The first will be not copying this entire post all over again, the other two will be answers to my questions.

Do you have a working recovery you can access?
And stay away from toolkits. Learn to flash manually. It's easy and you know what part goes wrong. Tool kits are nice in automation, but when something happens ya don't have a decent idea where to start.
