TouchXplorer install issue - HD2 Windows Phone 7 Themes and Apps

Hi
Tried to install TouchXplorer [HD2 WP7] but cannot be installed. I have the basic DFT rom. Tried to install The Jailbreak Chevron but cannot install this either.
[I called MSft and have the correct MS key and works ok].
Any assistance on how to install TouchXplorer please?
Thanks,
A

I have issues to install touchxplorer
. How do i go about it?

Have you made sure that you have got the Chevron Certificate on your device?
Have you made sure that you have made a partnership with your device and Zune and that Zune is running?
Have you made sure that the time and date and your device is correct?
Have you made sure that your phone is unlocked?
Once you done all that guys then run Chevron Unlocker from the root of your C drive, making sure that you right click on it and run as administrator. You should be able to unlock and then use M$ application deployer to deploy TouchXplorer.
You could also try installing one of the custom ROMs as these are all unlocked and you can sideload apps without the need to unlock.

application-unlock HTC Mteor (Swisscom XPA v1405)

Hello
I am searching for a way to unlock a HTC Mteor. This is required because we want to sync the phone with Lotus Notes 7.
I have tried several tools, like regeditstg2...but nothing is working because i am not able to change any registry key.
Thanks in advance for your help...
Greetz, Che
I have attached official HTC certificate unlocking tool and sda unlocking tool.
step 1: install this cab on your device.
step 2: if full application unlocking is required, please run sda-unlock tools on your desktiop computer while ypur device is connected to desktop computer via activesync.
running these files will not invalidate your warranty. all changes that are made to the device registry by these utilities will be removed after device hard reset.
cheers!
Hello SecureGSM
Thank you for your support! I have tested it yesterday and it was perfectly working, i was able to unlock the phone and install the sync software.

no idea. But I will try it with my new Monet tomorrow. Who is your badged to (Virgin ?)
the bible for htc smartphone unlocking:
http://wiki.spv-developers.com/HTC_Application_Unlock_Guide
indicated that Meteor and Monet can not be app unlocked. but this thread indicates that Meteor can be.
Could you try cert.cab and then spv_services on your monet and see if it works ?
Hello SecureGSM
i had the same problem with the Swisscom-Branded HTC Meteor. They locked everything, some Registry-Parts are write-Protected and the SPAddcert.exe didn't work.
But this cab-file worked perfectly, so thank you very much.
Thanks indeed! it works!!
BIG GREAT Thanx...
I was desesperate...U know like housewives...
After hard reset, I was unable to re-unlock my HTC Mteor.
After reading your post,
I started the cab from memory card.
I launched SDA-Unlocker from pc while Active sync was "on" trough bluetooth.
I restart my Mteor
I use checklock to confirm that everything is ok...
And...
EVERYTHING is OK.
Many many many thanx to you, guys... ))
is it working on an spv e650 ?

this method works for*ANY* HTC manufactured device, be that PDA PHONE or SMARTHONE.
Failed to edit the Registry
Basically every action to do a full application unlocking fails because whatever tool I try (regeditSTG or sda-unlock tools), at the end every change of a registry key ends with the message "Unable to perform this operation".
I´m using the original ROM 1.13.251.2
Any idea what might cause the problem?
BTW - the SP_AllowCertificateInstall CAB worked and solved my original problem that I couldn´t install a certificate for our mail connection.
cheers ralf

Looks like the SP_AllowCertificateInstall CAB was the key for success.
After running the application unlocking tool again now the registry can be edited as well.

Installation of the cab file
Hello Secure GSM,
Can you please tell me more about how to install the cab on my device? For example I would like to know:
- Do I have to copy the file (it doens't seem to run itself)?
- Which file do I have to copy then: the .cab file or the .xml file (which is inside the .cab file)?
- To which folder on my device do I have to copy the file?
You would help me a lot by answering these questions!
Thanks in advance!
2 joosthuismans: The basic knowledge of WM installation is that if the file you want install is .cab, you must copy it somewhere to your device and run it by some file manager (DO NOT unpack it!), and if it is .exe, you have to run it on your PC. Sometimes you may need to install some .cab file, which is not suitable for your device and it can not be installed by built-in installer. In this case you can unpack it and install it manually following steps in _setup.xml file...
2 everybody else: sorry for OT, but I felt little bit sorry about him =)

SPJAS Unlock
I have I-Mate SPJas. I have tried several unlock tools including HTC Unlock toll, registry edit, SDA Unlock....
My original SPL version was 2.05 and after I ran SPL file I had IPL=SPL by des and SPL=7......
I have also applied other methods and my phones seems to be application unlock. But when I try to upload a new rom the phone goes to blank. I could never prevent this condition.
Is there a way to update Imate SPJas to Win 6.1? Which ROM works?

[Q] Windows Phone Device Manager not working

hey guys, ive been searching for a few days for this, but neither here on this forum nor on any other i was able to find the solution. My problem ist that the Windows phone device manager is not launching. Yes i have the new .Net framework even reinstalled it a few times, also the SDK. My phone is unlocked, i installed the new custom rom by ansar on my hd7. Please help me, i got angry with my phone LOL
The user guide could help you easily. The synchronization is made only with zune
no "Windows phone device manager" with WP7
oh i noticed that zune update pops up when i want to launch wpdm ?!? big LOL
Hey...does it mean that there is no WPDM for HTC HD7???
WPDM does work on the HD7.
@OP: Did you install the Mango Beta tools on your PC & Mango Beta Zune client? I had this problem too. I'd launch WPDM & it'd just close on it own. After uninstalling the beta software from my PC & re-installing the official release (non Mango) software, it works again.
Hi...
i have installed Zune 4.7 & windows phone developer tools on my machine... but still unable to launch windows phone device manager
the moment i click on wp device manager exe file...it appear under Processes in Task manager for few seconds and then disappear ... i have tried reinstalling device manager etc but no luck...pls advise...

[Tutorial] Upgrade to 7720 HD7 Mango RTM Chevron Unlocked

Hi Everyone,
First of all, I do not endorse the paternity of the files published here.
I just want to publish a guide to ease up your upgrade to Mango RTM and keep your HD7 chevron unlocked.
Prerequisites:
- Windows 7 32 or 64 bits
- Zune version 4.7
- Windows Phone Device Manager/TouchXperience (1.3): http://www.touchxperience.com/en/applications/viewcategory/22.html
- Cotulla RSPL/HSPL: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647
- 7720 package: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1215501
- Ansar's custom rom for HD7: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1201169
- a custclear provxml file (see attachment)
- mango update package (see attachment)
Install procedure:
- Install RSPL/HSPL on your phone (rspl was enough for me)
- Back in bootscreen, install Ansar's custom rom (this one is unlocked + prevent relock)
- Once restarted, install thru marketplace (very important, do no sideload it) config connection from HTC and run it once
- Fire up windows phone device manager and let him install touchXperience on your phone.
- Once started and connected thru WPDC/touchXperience, copy in your phone windows folder the file custclear provxml
- After that, with zune not running , run with admin privileges the file "update" found in mango update package and let it do his stuff
- When finished, Zune should open and warn you an update is available (7403), do it
- After this one, zune should prompt you to update to 7712 (if not, just do an update search thru zune settings
- If all goes well, you should after this be in Mango beta 7712
- Disconnect your phone and uninstall zune completely
- From the package 7720, install the new zune version and the update wp file
- Reconnect your phone but be sure you don't have zune running
- Copy from the package 7720 the folder RCToRTM to the root of your c drive (c:\RCToRTM)
- From this folder, run the file ISVTo7720.bat with admin privileges
- If all goes well, your phone should begin its update to 7720
- If your phone updates with no trouble, once in 7720, run once again the htc config connection app to install the custclear provxml you copied earlier in your phone windows folder.
- That's it after, you should have a Mango rtm phone unlocked!

My phone keeps relocking after I update to 7403, any solutions?
Is there any difference between HD7 RTM Mango and non-specific RTM mango?
I have a non-specific RTM Mango in my HD7.

This was the fix duh - If your phone updates with no trouble, once in 7720, run once again the htc config connection app to install the custclear provxml you copied earlier in your phone windows folder.
Also the update zune was able to do all the updates 7403 ect did not need to downgrade......
BTW: BIG THANKS!!!!!!

Connection setup is pre installed on the ansar rom just click the check mark..... After you send the file do not mess with it wait to get to 7720 then unlock it..... I unlocked on beta then was relocked by the time i got to 7720 so i had to do it all over again..... Also i do not think touchXperience is going to work in mango.....
how do I "do an update search thru zune settings"?
I restarted everything and I still can't get the update from 7403 to 7712 "/

Im having the same issues. Cant update to 7712 after 7403. =/
I'm having 2 questions.....
- Where in this procedure can we add the "language string"?
- Will there be a backup made from the phone, so you won't lose settings etc....
good job worked fine here and direct
Issue
The only issue that i have with this is that it doesnt upgrade my Firmware or Radio in zune. I have upgraded my Radio with HSPL and have my phone unlocked but I never got the choice to upgrade it. I would like to know how if i can get the firmware upgrade w/o zune. I am using Tmous HD7 and I think it might be because the base rom to start all this off is EU.
Never Mind HTC took it down.

Not happening here, you sure you're using Ansar's custom HD7 rom?
For those having trouble with relocking, you need to install WPDM and touchxperience before updating to 7403 and leave zune closed. Than copy the provxml file via WPDM to the windows folder of your phone. Than update but do not use config connexion until you're in 7720. Hope this helps!

Hi, I can't update from 7403 to 7720..
Zune isn't giving me options to update, it says that my phone is up to date.
I've done everything in the sequence, but still a problem..
What you said (with ISV_Provisioning_Live.exe), isn't getting to help as is see..
Stuck on a white screen from the Provision like an hour..
Someone has a solution for me ?

[working] how to pass chevron to mango official

Hi Everyone.
here i come again with a "new" (maybe not) trick......
this trick is to pass the chevron unlock to Mango official....
First, you need to put CustClear.provxml (exactly)
then, download the BGMagic.cab on my another thread (my way to force mango aka 7403 way)
and, download those files (for english)
MainPackage
English MUI Package
DPI262
and, apply it, i assume everybody knows how to apply update to your device
if it's finished, restart it
then, run connection setup, and, voila, you got it....
NOTE: Maybe you'll say that this is a usual update steps, but, wait, this is not the usual way of updating, because you didn't install the hTC update, it keeps your SPL and radio, and it also removes the "67mb" limit of XAP Deploying........

Custom Ativ S theme colors

Guys any way we can modify the windows phone 8 theme colors on this device now that we have interop unlock and regisery access? I remember being able to do this on my HTC HD7 which was very cool.

You need to interop unlock your ATIV S first and install SamWP8 Tools by -W_O_L_F- through Windows Phone 8 SDK -> Application Deployment. If you need more info on how to install Windows Phone 8 SDK on Windows 7 visit this thread. If you have Windows 8, you can install the SDK from the Microsoft website itself. You need to register your phone first through the Windows Phone Developer Registration application included in the SDK before you can deploy apps on your phone.
Yeah, essentially what @bruce142 said. You can follow the steps in the FAQ for getting a devunlock and doing the InteropUnlock. I'll need to make a new Q for what can I do with an InteropUnlocked device.
