[DEV] Lg revolution full system dump plus netflix apk - LG Revolution

Not sure if we can use much of this but I figured the devs might want it so heres the links... Obviously NetFlix working on the EVO would be the ultimate prize here as the DRM libraries are included in the full system dump. APK works perfectly already except for the movie playing part.
Full LG Revolution system dump: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=R009V8U0
Netflix .apk from LG system dump: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WSI8NBR1

I found the Netflix apk earlier. I can log in and see everything but nothing will play yet.
You have been EVOfied.

That is because with just the apk you are missing the DRM libraries... I'm hoping some really smart dev can pull those from the full system dump (they are in there) and get a workable version for our EVO's... This phone is too awesome to be denied Netflix, LOL

wow thanks 1 step closer

I font get sign in screen I get netflix splash screen followed by white screen...

Someone PM this to sac23 he might be able to port the whole damn thing

anything else useful in the dump? launcher? wallpapers? ect?

If this one has not the lib folder, of no use it is.... the drm call is in the built in .so file lib calling an omx of drm.play. my assumption is that it is somewhere in the system libraries that we will find the answer. I'm tinkering with this and have an N1 as shown below...

The lib folders should be in the entire system dump no?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App

Far from an expert, but if someone can point me to where those lib files should be, I'll see if I can find them, and see if I can get them in the right place.
Edit: Nevermind. Downloaded the sys dump twice, and got a "not a valid archive" error both times.

Anyone have a working SYSTEM dump?

Maybe the system files from here would work
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=936789
im looking at it now

Has anyone actually been able to extract the system dump? I've downloaded it twice now and it seems corrupt. Based on some of the comments I'm not going to try a 3rd time unless at least 1 person other than the OP is able to extract it. Anyone that *CAN* extract it, can you post an MD5? (or OP?)

Vaelpac has hit it on the head. We need those lib files. The media player accesses the Netflix lib .so file, and that accesses the omx files. May just be that simple, but we wont know till we have that.
If we had a way to decompile the .so file, that would help as well.

system dump download works--now OFF TO THE RACES!

I've browsed my queue about 8 times today!
I hope our devs get this thing hammered out
Tapatalked from my SUpersonic...

Sorry guys, it did work for me but the DL was extremely slow. I see u found another source. If that one does not work I will upload the dump I have again and provide a link. Let me know.
The link I posted was actually from the first android central article and at the time of posting everything was good. Don't know what happened.

FriendStream.apk or FriendStreamWidget.apk

I tried to copy the apk's from one of the custom ROMs and am getting the following:
http://pastebin.com/UG3Bnygt
Should this be easy enough to resolve? I'm not sure how to update the SHA in the MANIFEST so wanted to reach out to the real guru's here.
wouldnt the apk contain the widget?
i mean that sound the most logical to me..
try to get the apk and install it, see what turns out

Widget is a Widget, FriendStream.apk is an actual App.
I did try to install both APK's (check pastebin link) and resulted in SHA issues (grabbed the apk's from EvilEris 2.0)
I noticed the Incredible also has FriendStream and it's a Verizon phone so why doesn't someone pull it from there? Would that not solve the problems with getting it to work on the nonsprint roms?
If im not mistaken it is part of the updated version of HTC Sense which this 2.1 update did not contain but the incredible does.
Please feel free to correct me if im wrong.
The only parts of the new sense that came in the update were the jump feature and full screen weather animations.

Actually was in the process of doing this when I read your post.
No luck though but i have the apk's if anyone has any other ideas.
Is there a possibility that there is some sort of dependency needed before they will install?
*bump*
Wonder how to add this to a rom as well. Simply putting the 2 apk's in the /system/app directory, and trying to install from there doesn't work. I get "Application not installed".
What rom are you running?
Sounds like you might be on a senseless one.

jcase's rooted OTA.
Hmm I don't know. Really I probably don't know enough to answer.
I know I couldn't get it to work on Cyan Lightning or when using LauncherPro on EvilEris.
The only other thing I can think of is that it might not work on Verizon based roms. Its available on the Incredible though so if that is the reason I would think we would eventually have it available.
I'm sure someone will chime in with a little more knowledge in the morning.
I need these apks if anybody has them. Please?
Im trying to either get a hold of the Aria dump or if someone could just send me those two files, I want to deodex them and look at the xml file and see what I can do. If I can get friendstream.apk and the com.htc.friendstreamwidget.apk from aria build i might have a shot at it because the hardware is similar.

[Q] [REQUEST] DSP Manager for stock LG Optimus 2X

So, I tried to get DSP Manager to work under the stock LG installation for the purpose of boosting speaker and headphone sound.
The homepage of the developer is located at: http://bel.fi/~alankila/android-dsp/
But he's not building it any more. Instead he had Cyanogen and some other mods put it in their reps.
Anyway I tried extracting DSPManager.apk and audioflinger.so and using rootexplorer to put them in /apps and /lib respectively. Needless to say: this didn't work. Bootloop, had to use nandroid backup to restore.
Using just the apk doesn't cause bootloop, but nets no result since it seems to need a modified audioflinger.so.
I've tried looking around in Cyanogens source code, but frankly I wouldn't know what to do if I found the relevant source. There seems to be something in media\libeffects called cyanogen dsp. Don't know if it's the same.
So my request is: can someone compile DSPManager.apk and audioflinger.so for stock (but rooted) Optimus 2x? Or teach me how to compile these two files?

Has someone tested this yet? Someone uploaded the latest one with an edited .so file. Maybe someone can test if this works on 2.2.2. LG Optimus X2 without patched libaudioflinger.so?
Kind regards,

Well... decompiled it... changed the thing .. recompiled it.. it works for about 2 minutes then force closes?
Edit - its got something to do with permissions , root explorer won't let me set execute permission. Maybe i should have got the apk signed or something..

great start ! has this been resolved at all ? my 2x has a really bad audio equalization during phone calls and i would like to get it better.
Try installing voodoo control plus to boost the headphone volume (it's available in the android market). Version 3.0 and above supports O2X. I've installed v3.0 on rooted stock 2.2, and it works. Too bad it doesn't have equalizer (at least on mine)

The dump is hosted in that thread in OP. Be advised that it is not a complete dump because the device isnt rooted yet (obviously)
All of the .apks I installed worked without signature verification or anything except for the Notes app.
Edit : After testing the apps they were a bit laggy and uninstalled. I would be more interested in getting the launcher to work.

You are kidding right? The OP says 'system dump' not 'apks for download'
Do you have a cap on bandwith in your country? If so then I apologize but maybe you can ask another member for individual apps.
The point of a system dump is to provide the community with fun new stuff that may be usable on our tabs.

Okay, got the calendar-widget to work without any lags. Beautiful widget!
The mail-widget doesn't work correctly. I got new mail, but it says I don't got any. The options say that my account is synchronized though.
The bookmarking-widget also works fine and is a nice addition!
The rest I couldn't get to install (except for the launcher which I didn't try yet).
But I thought Lenovo had customized more than only a few widgets and a launcher? (like for example Lenovo Socialtouch)

Good question, I had to use titanium to delete google search, then download the one from the play store (same version number) and then convert it to system app.
That one lg supplied file would not deodex no matter what I tried? the replacement was fine.
i tried to deodex 20q. but i cant deodex nearly 10 apks.
if you did it it is great!
only one apk and repleace from play store doesnt matter. i mean did you used any apk from other versions like 20o 20p etc.

Maybe you wanna convert all those ROMs into easy to flash .zip files. But a nice thread anyway. UAE version and some other regional ones would be nice. Maybe we should all work together, create all the local ones, post them here and you add them to the thread, so everyone can pick a rooted version, he/she wants to have.
I guess they are rooted or don't delete the root, right? (I don't think a nandroid would remove root, but are they rooted?)

Sounds like a plan, In the meantime I need to learn how to create zip files. I had no joy with rom kitchen. any other tools for that please?
I might help with flashable zip, but gimme a little bit time so I can test
In process of dl from my server (have to sign it locally), I'll test it ASAP
EDIT: Getting error when installing :/ Will try to fix it.
EDIT2: Now bricked, I guess I shouldn't have changed things on boot.img, will unbrick then retry without any modifications from my own nandroid.
EDIT3: I guess I just bricked my phone too much times for this night, will retry tomorrow.

And with the help of UOT Kitchen I modified some changes like battery, status bar, notification bar , font, boot animation.. And everything works like charm...

I thought this was a flashable zip, hence the "manually". I wanted to get the AudioTuner working, but it might be missing some critical files, especially the ones from /syste/vendor/{etc,lib}. It would be great if you can get those too.
EDIT: Hold on, the ones that you gave might already be working. Just need some proper setup. I'll see what I can do.
EDIT 2: On a proper inspection, it seems that there might be missing libraries after all. Just to make sure it's all complete, we might need a full dump of the system.
May I know which ROM is this from exactly? I must be out of the loop since I never knew OxygenOS 2.0 existed. Or is this actually from HydrogenOS of the OnePlus 2?

I may be very close to having a working AudioTuner, but until AudioTunerService actually runs, I won't be able to test this. Logcat shows that it refuses to run due to a missing classes.dex file in the AudioTunerService.apk, which indicates an odexed APK.
May I ask that you re-check the AudioTunerService please? The batch deodex program might have missed it.

There seems to be an issue with the apk wanted to use a shared user ID which have already been used by another system app. It is possible to revoke the usage of the user ID for said app, but I wouldn't recommend it as it could terribly mess your system up.
Which I actually did, even though I already knew it.

I can't deodex it. For some reason (which I don't know what), the odex file failed the OAT header test.
Most of the required libs are 64 bit. it's unlikely you'll get them working

The MaxxAudio however most likely only depends on the 32-bit libraries. I was able to deodex it and got the required libraries. However, upon starting AudioTuner, AudioTunerService crashed (yet again) with a new error:
Code:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
net.oneplus.audiotunerservice.service.MaxxAudioService$3
Now, this is completely out of my realm as I have no idea about Java whatsoever. However, I'm sure that the MaxxAudioService$3 do exist when I extracted the smali from the odex file. Does that mean the apk was not deodexed properly after all?
Attached are what I have so far. I have no idea where to go from here. May need to decompile the apk, but I don't know java. I guess I'll leave this here and see what the others can do about it.

Oh, I forgot to include that? You can get from the OP. I get the error code I mentioned after I resolved all dependencies error.

Here's an updated archive of it. Should have everything inside. Note that you need to apply the correct permissions. (0755 for folders, 0644 for files)
I only tested on Sultanxda's CAF 12.1 (latest build). And of course, as I have stated above, it didn't work. I may be missing something a lot more important than just the library dependencies. YMMV.
Would be glad if any of you could help getting this to work. Thank you.
