Here is the actual screen size difference pictures betwen the three phones.
When next to HD7 or DHD the screen of the Inc S, looks small , but without them around , the screen feels big enough...and it feels quite comfortable in my hand.
By the way , Inc S is clearly the brightest and also my eyes feel that it has the best and warmest colours !!!!

well put...i had DHD and Inc S...viewing angles just dont compare, tilt the DHD at all and it washes out, do the same with the IS and its as clear, deep and brilliant at 90 degrees as it is face on..this phone is fabulous
try holding DHD in one hand and pulling down the taskbar with thumb, its an awkward stretch ...IS is perfect size
Yesterday I went to a friend who has a DHD as well, however he was claiming that he has the new video drivers for HTC on his DHD and he was saying that his screen sure is better than the INC S screen....
So after comparing the screens of my DHD, his DHD and my INC S : I can clearly say that INC S screen is Brighter, Crispier, Colors are warmer.
But my friends DHD`s screen was better than my DHD`s screen, so this means the new video drivers worked but up to a certain point !!!
When you look at the screens , you can easily understand that INC S has a superior screen !!!!!!!!!
Where do i get the Video Driver for the DHD ??

Leedroid rom has the latest video drivers, you can find it in the rom devekopment section.

i think it's part of the 2.2.1 OTA update by htc. i had mine updated 3 days ago from 1.32 to 1.83 and yeah the screen became more vibrant
This is kind of a long shot, but can anyone maybe post a screen comparison of the Inc S and the DHD with new video drivers? And try to angle them just like the OP

I tried them side by side at my local carphone warehouse. The screen on the In. is much clearer and colurs are not as washed out as the DHD. But i like bigger screens!

I wud suggest you do a soft reset to see if it cums back to normal if not then you will have to do a hard reset...

The old style home will work on the Diamond then? Just got mine yesterday and although I like touchflo have to admit I want to use the old home until these memory issues are worked out. My touchflo-less today screen looks really bland lol..

Are those plug ins VGA compatible? It looks like they are QVGA so they are displaying at a smaller resolution.

Thanks for all the help guys i finally got it to work by installin the 6tab kaiser version, then adding the dll file.......BUT is there any way to just make it bigger. Ideally i would prefer if it was the same size as the one on most of the windows 6 phones, i.e the touch, kaiser etc, it looks good but it's just a bit to small in proportion to the rest of the screen.
The is because you are using QVGA images which are smaller than VGA ones. You will need to use a HTC Home plug in from a Universal or other VGA PPC

glad that i have received today my new touch diamond. so, a warm hello from my side and i am happy to switch over from the hermes forum to this one.
unfortunately i have to start with a question.
i thought that the diamond is black. i mean the color of the two foils (one which contains the screen, the other contains the buttons)
the lower foil looks blue-ish while the upper one looks green-ish.
i thought that maybe there are two color version out there and my dealer has sent me the wrong one, but i could not find any infos.
what does your diamond like like?
All black here. It may just be a reflection of something, I suppose you've looked at the device outdoors, still the same there?

Mine is the same as yours! Mine is from Orange...
It does mostly look black though.

Mine is two colors two. In shadow, it's all black. However in a well lit environment, the top side and the bottom side are two different shades of gray. It's not a big problem though.

Here are a few new renders Ive done for you guys.
This one is based on the Touch HD + the Zune HD, It has the snapdragon processor (1.3), 4gb onboard memory with MicroSD expansion (up to 32gb i believe?) g-sensor, HD FM radio, GPS, plus the usual items found on today's phones, and boasts a WVGA screen and 5mp Camera. Runs either Android Or WM6.5 (not dual booting, ^.^) and not seen in the render but has two external speakers (on the side) for better music and speakerphone quality.
Anyway, enough talk, heres the photos!

I can't help but feel I am imagining the washed out effect I see on my N7, perhaps I am just too used to the amoled saturation. Thought pictures of my N7 looking like others would help me feel better about it. Feel free to show if yours looks any different! Of course now that I'm looking at the pic I just took it doesn't show much difference, but in person it does.

I'm personally happy with the screen on the Nexus7. You can't compare it to a Super AMOLED+ screen though. The latter is much better quality with a higher contrast ratio.
I do notice some light bleeding around the edge, but I can live with that. Watching movies, everything looks great.
No point in other people posting pictures of their Super AMOLED phones vs Nexus 7.
AMOLED = Much more vivid colors.
And yes, the Nexus 7 will look 'washed out'

hah, it is an ipad camera...does suck indeed. I just wanted a little reassurance that it's normal, all good. I'm cool with it, just wanted to make sure I'm in the norm. Have no one around to compare to.
Hello! I have noticed that my device is changing color when tilting the phone in different angles. It gets a slight pinkish/reddish tint and I wonder if everyone has this or if my screen is bad and if I should get the phone replaced? I took a video of it but it doesn't really show as much in the video as it does IRL. It's much more noticeable IRL. I can't add the video here due to XDA rules.
So, is this normal or should I get it replaced?
My s10 plus doesnt do this hmmm, do you run it on wqhd? See if that makes a difference if not I reccomend taking it back

It happens no matter the settings I use. Tried vivid turned to cool, tried to turn down the red color etc etc. It's only noticeable on a white/grey background. Like in the Gmail. I guess I'll try to get it replaced.

Seems like it's a common issue. Not sure if it's actually normal tho? A friend of mine has almost none of this issue on his. I also took a picture of it showing quite a lot of the issue.

I can see green edges if I tilt the phone.
