[Q] Lack of tutorial for TMOUS? - T-Mobile HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Development

ZEMONTI said:
Since i broke my LEO, recently i got a TMOUS. This evening i lost couple of hours, looking for tutorial for nubbies, but nothing.
There are so many treads with "dont use it with TMOUS, that i'm scared is it safe to flash a ROM at all.
Even basic things like SPL and HSPL are only in the general section with "not for TMOUS".
Am i missing something?

So, i'm starting:
1. Be sure that you have T-mobile USA version (TMOUS)! It's in the settings/about phone/hardware information/flash size 1024MB (not 512).
2. Check your HSPL version! To do that boot your phone with pressed "volume down"
5. Never flash a radio lower than 2.06.50.x
6. Never flash a radio with a 51 (x.xx.51.x) instead of a x.xx. 50.x It's in settings/about phone/software information/radio version
Dictionary:
SPL ...............
HSPL................
SSPL.................
Cooked ROM - Custom operation system, ready to be flashed on your phone
Stack ROM - Factory operation system

So despite i'm a complete nubbie, i'm starting research for such a tutorial.
Seams like the basics are:
1 SPL
2 HSPL
3 Flash ROM from SD card
or
Flash ROM from PC
I'm starting to took tor software, not made "LEO only"

It will take more research, then i tough.
First i have to clear for myself what exactly are SPL, SSPL, HSPL, when we need them and which is first.
And what exactly is RADIO.

Go to the regular hd2 rom dev thread, find the sticky
Sticky: [REF] HD2 STICKIES | USEFUL INFO | POSTING RULES - Read before posting
In there is at least 1 tmous specific noob flashing thread link, but I would advise you read them all over the next week.
You have one thing to be scared of.
never flash a radio (look it up) lower than 2.06.50.x and never flash a radio with a 51 (x.xx.51.x) instead of a x.xx. 50.x
This translates also into never flash any stock rom except tmous stock roms.not because of the rom but because all non tmous stock roms contain ..51.. radios.(well except the latest, but it still wouldn't work)
In just about all situations, you as a tmous user can skip instructions to flash compatible radio,,, yours already is

Thanks.
I'll use it

More advices, please!

Like Samsamuel said the biggest thing TMOUS users have to fear is flashing the wrong radio version to their HD2. The wrong radio means instant death (brick) for a TMOUS HD2. You have already as well as Samsamuel has already meantioned the right and wrong radio versions.
The radio controls reception of your HD2. With out the most up to date radio you might have trouble with bad reception and other things. For more info on radio go to " [RADIO] The HTC HD2 Master Radio Thread " in the HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM Development section here on XDA. Here is a link to the thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
Go check out this thread "[TUT] Flashing your First GSM USA 1024LEO ONLY!! (For Noobs)" in the HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM Development section her on XDA. Here is a link to it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653614
Also for your beifit of knowledge you can flash a ROM, radio, splash screen, MAGLDR, and Clock Work Mod (CWM) via SD card. Basicly anything that uses a .nbh file to flash with you can flash via SD card by changing the name to leoimg.nbh coping it to the root of your SD card and then put your HD2 into bootloader with the SD card in your HD2. Go to HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A and General and check out the thread "[TUT] Flash your ROM / Radio via microSD" here on XDA. Here is a link to it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=681317
If you are interested in installing NAND Andriod check out these two guides. This one by Senior Member MSkip in the HD2 Android NAND Developmen titled "[GUIDE] Flashing Your First HD2 NAND Android Rom [For Newbs]" here on XDA. Here is a link to it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948
And here is the guide by Member Gunjaman in the General descussion>Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking section. The thread title is "the Definite Guide: How to Install NAND Android on HTC HD2 w ClockWorkMod Recovery" here on XDA. Here is a link to it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=939682
Also these guides can be used to a certain exstint to flash Windows Phone 7 but CWM does not work for WP7 there for it is not needed or usable when trying to flash WP7.
One last thing any section you are in here on XDA especially the HD2 sections always look at the stickies cause they are not stickies for no reason. They are sgickies because they are very useful and informative.

Neither Google, neither XDA-search helped me to find topics how to check is there HSPL on the phone and which version.

I got that and put it in the tutorial

I assume you figured out how to check your SPL version on the HD2. But just incase you didn't you have to turn the HD2 on but hold the volume down button down while it is booting up and it will go to bootloader. Also for your benifit SPL stands for Secoundary Program Loader. SPL can be changed by flashing via USB cable and computer. HSPL stands for Hard Secoundary Program Laoder and HSPL can not be reverted back to SPL by flashing via USB cable and computer, you have to flash via SD card to do this or use the HSPL utility to choose the SPL you want flashed. SSPL stands for Standard Secoundary Program Loader (I thinknot positive) and it is like SPL and can be hanged by flashing via USB and computer. OSPL stands for Original Secoundary Program Loader and is like SPL and can be changeed by flashing via USB and computer.
If you are wondering about the .nbh files I mentioned in my other post. This type of file is a Hermes file that is used spacificaly with HTC devices. Google it and you can find more about it.
This is how you Hard Reset a HD2. You hold the volume up and volume down buttons down and turn on the HD2. When the multicolor screen comes up it will give instru tions on the screen to press the volume up button to resef or press the volume down button to cancel. press the vume up button and it will reset to factory settings. You can alsi do this by going to Settings/Security/Factory Reset. You will have to enter 1234 and hit ok and tbe pbone will reset to factory settings.
Anything else I can do to help you out let me know either here or PM me.

What do i do: Flashing

I have a Tmo Wing and i want to basically install touch it or open touch onto my phone.
While reading the guides here, it has stuff like "must have spl 4.0 or higher" and "ruu" and i got confused on what to do.
So my questions are :
1) what does spl refer to? program related or phone related? where do i check?
2) ruu ??
3) what guide do i use because there are multiple with different instructions
SPL is the "bios" of the phone.
If you hold down the camera button and soft reset (holding the camera button the whole time) you'll phone will go into bootloader mode. There you will see the spl information.
RUU is Rom Upgrade Utility. It's the software used to flash any given rom onto the phone... but typically people who says RUU are referring to the "stock rom" ... so basically what comes on your phone from factory.
Any guide. Just make sure you READ all of it...

Flash Only Gets to 1%

Hello xda
I've been following the flashing guide for my p3600i, but have hit a snag.
After flashing HardSPL 3.20 and the current radio ROM, I can't flash any cooked ROM's. Attempting to flash any ROM results in error code 270 after 1% and reboots the phone. I still have access to the original OS after it boots back up. I'm attempting this on Vista using the XP drivers for HTC USB Sync.
Any ideas?
Edit: I've read that I need to modify HTC p3600 based ROM's to work on the p3600i, but this information isn't listed in the stickied guide. Is this still accurate, and if it is, can someone point me in the right direction on how to do this?
The guides are up-to-date and have worked for many people.
Have you tried to boot to the tri-colour screen by holding down the power button, camera button and pressing in the bottom soft reset button all at the same time?
Do that and confirm you have Olipro's HardSPL installed properly.
EDIT: I think I know what your problem might be. When you flash a ROM, IGNORE THE DIRECTIONS ON THE PROGRAM YOU RUN.
Do this, AND ONLY THIS don't do anything else.
Enter the tri-colour flash screen manually on your phone (holding down the 3 buttons). when you get this screen, connect the phone to your computer. Confirm you see the phone display Olipro's HardSPL 3.20 as installed, and at the bottom once connected to the PC, USB as the connection.
From there, run the upgrade program to flash the ROM. Ignore the instructions on the screen and keep clicking continue.
That might be why youre having the problem - you need to ALREADY be in the tri-colour bootscreen before running the flashing program.
Good luck!
Ok, I definately need to patch p3600 ROM's to work on my p3600i. I've patched Mary's 3.7 Lite and that seems to have installed and booted, so I'm away.
Edit: I can confirm I was following the guide precisely, but it's a guide for Trinity P3600, not for P3600i. It doesn't mention the required patching (it really should). I can also confirm I have the correct HardSPL installed and it seems to working now. Someone needs to add a note for P3600i users to that sticky.
You don't need to patch anything.
There is a sticky in the upgrading section for P3600i ROMs that have been tested and are working. Use those and you won't have any issues (Y)
I just had a look and at the end the ROM Collection thread is mentioned. You obviously didn't read to the end.

I have EXACTLY the same problem as you.
Also I extracted the official ROM into a folder, then extract the cooked ROM 6.1 and get the .nbf (ROM only) file into the official extract folder and tried to flash. At this point the error says: error: NAND 128 is on this rom where the target (which is p3600i) is NAND 256.
so the structure of NAND is different that's why got error.
I saw the correction is to change 400 to 401 in the name of the os file and bake again. This may help but I don't know how to do it yet...

Um retard did you read what I wrote? You DON'T need to patch anything. Follow the flashing instructions, and IF you read them to the end you'll see it point to the ROM Collection link for the P3600i. For the ROMs linked to in this thread there is no flashing required - they're already done.
Don't call him a retard. I certainly read to the end and but Mediafire was down last night and I had to get the Mary 3.7 Lite ROM from the original Mary's 3.7 thread. This is why I had to patch them manually. The thread doesn't mention that the linked to ROM's are different then those in the original thread about each ROM, hence this is where I went wrong. If I had know the mediafire linked ROM's were different then the ones in each individual thread, I would have waited until mediafire was back up.

[Resources] Flashing your First GSM Rhodium Rom (For Noobs)

PLEASE READ THE *FAQ* BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS!!
IF YOU HAVE A CDMA DEVICE THEN GO *HERE* FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO HARDSPL
IF YOU NEED TO HARD RESET OR ENTER BOOTLOADER YOU CAN FIND INSTRUCTIONS *HERE*
Before starting, backup anything you might want to keep after the new Rom has been flashed as all contacts, emails, texts, notes, Internet BookMarks WILL be lost!!
PimBackup is good and free (copy any mms attachments to your storage card or computer seperately)
*ONCE YOU HAVE FLASHED A HARDSPL ITS PERMANENT. YOU DONT NEED TO DO IT AGAIN WHEN FLASHING NEW ROMS OR RADIOS*
*DO NOT start another process while the flashing process is taking place*
*DO NOT click off of the status bar... Let it stay in the foreground*
*DO NOT let the Screensaver activate*
Any of these can lead to a bad flash and possibly brick your phone
*FLASH HARDSPL BEFORE FLASHING ANY CUSTOM ROMS*
1. YOUR DEVICE MUST HAVE AT LEAST 50% BATTERY POWER FIRST BEFORE ATTEMPTING EACH STAGE
2. FLASH HARDSPL
The Original HardSPL Thread is *HERE*
IMPORTANT: Each user gets 1 license, or perhaps 2-3 on request if needed (valid forever and works as transparently as possible, so it won't be a problem at all)
you can send a request for 1-2 more devices for private user (free) at http://support.htc-unlocks.com (ONLY at this link, not in PM).
NOTE1: This package is for Rhodium (Touch Pro 2, not the original Touch Pro) devices. CDMA-GSM worldphone version is not accepted (RHOD400, RHOD500 modelids), that will have its own HardSPL later. This HardSPL supports WM6.5
NOTE2: If you have Vista or Windows 7, update WMDC to v6.1 *HERE* first
Flashing via ActiveSync with USB Lead (thanks to OliNex)
1. Download HardSPL package from *HERE* and extract to an empty folder
2. Synch Phone with PC in Windows Mobile!!! It has to be connected to activesync or WMDC via USB cable and it must not be in Flight/Airplane mode (i.e. radio should be on)
3. NEW: Internet access is required as the program checks online for updates and license
4. Run Rhodium-HardSPL_V2_00R3.exe on PC, make sure it's launched from a local drive (not through network drive, etc.). XP requires Admin logon and Vista/Windows 7 will automatically prompt to allow it to run in Admin mode, allow it. If you get an AntiVirus warning please ignore it, it contains no harmful code (just used a packer to compress it).
5. Follow steps as prompted in the HardSPL program. If this is the first run of HardSPL on a device after Hard Reset, you must select Automatic Flash Mode (first button in Welcome Screen)
NOTE: You should usually go for Automatic Flash Mode. The Manual Flash option is only to be used as noted below and you must only attempt the Manual Mode option if Automatic Flash Mode or SSPL-Manual.exe already put device in black screen. Any other errors triggered while running in Autoflash Mode will have to be fixed as instructed in the error message.
6. It will ask you to wait while it prepares for the flashing, press OK
7. Now it should go through without any error messages, if one does pop up then follow the instructions included in the error text. If no specific instruction is shown then ask for help in the thread, but this should not ever occur (as this means a really fatal error occurred)
8. At this point the phone hopefully went to a black screen (reporting version as 1.01.C-SSPL only using "info 7" in mtty), this is the SSPL version, which is temporary. Then RUU will instantly launch
9. NOTE: When RUU says it will Hard Reset do not worry, it is not going to do that. Also when it says the flash will take 10 minutes ignore that, it will only take a minute or so
10. SPL flashes, device automatically reboots, job done
*Go into BootLoader Mode (do a Soft Reset while holding the "volume down" key on the left side of the device. Keep holding the "volume down" key until you see tricolour screen which is the bootloader mode, then release it) and verify the screen shows 0.85.OliNex, which is the HardSPL version*
NOTE1: This is unsigned HardSPL. No limitations on flashing ROMs (except of course some Radio roms). Also this has overwrite protection against HTC RUU's overwriting HSPL with a stock one. See steps in the Original thread about how to reflash stock SPL.
NOTE2: Anyone having USB problems with the device after it enters SSPL mode, download SSPL-Manual-Rhodium.exe, copy it to the phone and run it. Once the screen has gone black, run the HardSPL package on the PC and select Manual Flash option.
*IMPORTANT* Make sure that the USB cable is plugged in and device is synched to Windows Mobile even if doing manual method.
NOTE3: Do not use this RUU for anything other than SPL flashing (i.e. hardspl or stock spl restore)!!! Nothing other than SPL's made by Olinex team (using OliNex custom cert, which is not public) will flash to make SSPL more secure. If you want to flash another rom then use shipped RUU or Rhodium customRUU if you want to flash cooked ROM.
3. DOWNLOAD AND FLASH YOUR PREFERED ROM
NOTE: Check the Roms Thread for any specific Flashing instructions. If there arent any then you can use the following guide.
Flashing Via ActiveSync
1. Download your prefered Rom from the Rhodium Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your computer
2. REMOVE SIM and microSD CARDS!!
3. Turn phone back on and wait until it syncs with your PC
4. Run the CustomRUU.exe from the Roms Folder (if one isnt included then download it *HERE*)
5. Follow onscreen instructions to set up your New Rom
6. Once phone has gone through the customisation procedure then replace Sim and microSD Cards
7. Turn phone back on and set up as required
Flashing Via MicroSD Card
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the Rhodium Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to RHODIMG.nbh
4. Copy the RHODIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.
4. FLASH PREFERED RADIO (OPTIONAL)
For more information about compatible Radios go *HERE*
Flashing Via ActiveSync
1. Sync your phone with the PC
2. Run CustomRUU.exe from the Radio's Folder and follow the instructions (if one isnt included then download it *HERE*)
Flashing via MicroSD Card
Use same method as Flashing a Rom via MicroSD Card
5. JOB DONE. Well Done YOU DID IT!!

FAQ for Flashing your First Rhodium Rom
FAQ
1. What Operating systems are supported for Flashing HardSPL?
Supported OS versions: 32bit and 64bit XP, Vista, Windows 7RC and later. win2000 was untested, and pre-RC win7 (lower than build 7100) is explicitly not supported. Also the program may be unstable or not work on Virtual systems, so it's recommended to try outside Virtual OS software. Also version verify: if HardSPL package says V120R in first Welcome dialog title (and version 1.20 in About box) it is the latest version, not some crappy beta/old version.
---------------------------
2. Why is it recommended to remove the Sim Card and microSD Card before Flashing?
microSD Card removal is recommended just in case any self booting programs or UC setup files are on there that might interupt or conflict with the setup procedure after flashing.
Sim Card removal is recommended because as soon as your phone reboots after flashing your phone will be live and if you get a call or text message during the initial setup it might interfere and ruin the setup.
If you flashed with both the cards in it should be fine as long as none of the above situations happened. Just be aware for future flashes
---------------------------
3. What are the different types of Unlock? (answer by DaveShaw)
The three stages of unlock are:
SIM: Allows you to use SIM's from another carrier. Can be done using codes or unlocker programs on xda-devs.
Security: Allows you to flash radios from another device (radios intended for your device only need Hard SPL) - It does other stuff, but this is all the casual user will use it for
CID: CID unlocking is an old concept, nowadays you flash Hard SPL instead. Hard SPL lets you flash any ROM, Splash or Radio (depending on sec unlock) to your device. The stock SPL's only let you flash signed ROM images that match the CID & Model of your device. N.B. the CID is the carrier ID (e.g. HTC__001, or VODAP100).
Also, SuperCID is setting your CID to a value that allows you to flash other signed (shipped) ROMs, even if the CIDs are different after removing Hard SPL. - SuperCID is performed by the Olipro unlocker.
---------------------------
4. What is the difference between ROM and RADIO?
The Rom is the operating system and included patches, tweaks and programs. The Radio is a seperate part of the firmware on the phone that handles all communation related matters such as signal, gps, bluetooth, camera, wifi and sound. Newer Radios to include improvements or fixes in older version, or even just to compliment an existing Rom or network so a newer Radio isnt neccessarily better. Radios also need to be matched to the correct Rom so you cant just put any Radio and Rom together.
---------------------------
5. How do Stock ROMS differ from Cooked ROMS?
Stock Roms usually have extra 'bloatware' added which take up extra space on the phone. Custom Roms are stripped down to provide more space and most are tweaked to provide a faster more stable Operating System. Every chef is different so you have to look around the forums to see which Rom is best for your needs.

Too true....I remember how scared I was when doing my first flash on my Wizard though. Somethin like this at the time would have put my mind at ease (would have probably scared me to death even more at the same time! ).
It's funny how, with experience, that fear fades away and you just flash as if you've been doing it all your life. Some people will learn the hard way...others will read, read, read like I did many years ago! (as they most definitely should)
Nice post mskip.
When flashing a new ROM via Active Sync, is it really necessary to remove the SIM-card and SD-card? I didn't and the flashing did go well. No problems at all!
Just extra precaution against wiping your cards out or God forbid getting incomming phone signal during flash and having that interfere!

Unfortunately flashing HardSPL on a Rhodium is a very in depth process and no shortcuts can be taken for the safety of the phone. The purpose of this guide is to give someone the whole process from flashing HardSPL to changing the Rom or Radio and save them having to keep 4 or 5 screens open with all the different information.
I remember when I first flashed my OLD Hermes many many years ago (god that makes me sound old haha) I was trying to pull all the information I needed together and ended up with over 15 pages all with different information and different methods on how to do the same thing and it took months off my flashing life.
I only made this up last night and the HardSPL information is taken directly from the creators thread. I will go through the HardSPL section and try to "dumb" it down so its easier to understand but if people want to customise their device then they HAVE to be prepared to follow all the steps to the letter and not complain that its too hard or too in depth.
This is the third one stop flashing guide I have written and the other ones have helped thousands of people flash their phones, the fancy fonts and colours are just their to help point things out
Any improvemants or additions are welcome (although my 10000 character limit has already been reached so if I add something then something else has to be taken off)

Once you have HardPSL on your phone then you are free to flash Official or custom Roms as you desire.
Im sure the Touch Pro 2 is supported but if you are unsure in any way then ask in the developers thread.
Ok I've got a question. In the starting post is sais that the HARD-SPL is permanent. Is it really permanent, or can you change the HARD-SPL later on when updates are brought out?
I guess it is permanent in a way that it won't be removed after you reflash you device. But it can be altered right? (Because there are updates brought out for HARD-SPL also

It means it cannot be replaced by a stock SPL. There is a flag in the Hard SPL to prevent it from being overwritten. You must use SSPL to change the SPL version - PS the relocker in the Hard SPL thread will revert you to Stock SPL if need be.

Sorry Master
When I was writing the guide I didnt see anything about microSD Card flashing so I thought it best to leave it out. Plus I knew that you would pick up anything I left out
I will add it to the Rom and Radio flashing steps but I totally maxed out my post already. Any chance you can bung me another 5000 characters I promise I will pay you back next week Failing that I will have to do some drastic rewording or spread the guide over the first 2 posts

flashing assistants for htc touch hd

ive been looking around on this forums, ive found various roms and softwares to flash the touch hd to winmo6.5.
ive downloaded:
HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.zip
RUU_Signed_Blackstone_stockSPL154.zip
SSPL-Manual-TouchHD.zip
BlackstoneRUUWrapper.zip
and rom HD_WM6.5__V56__B23041_09022009.rar.
i have currently got 1.4 something on my touch hd. I found this when i turned it on by holding down the volume rocker.
but im not sure if i have the right files, cos ive seen some other ones around the forums. and im not sure which rom is the fastest to date. i dont want to download a laggy one which i have found some people have experienced. also, can i go back to winmo6.1 after going back to winmo6.5.
i just want to be sure before i do anything.
cheers in advanced
Used this guide when I first flashed mine. Only explains USPL method though iirc. http://journal.zenyee.com/2009/06/21/custom-rom-upgrade-for-dummies/
ill have a look at that. cheers for replying so quick.
USPL.

yes USPL is the safest method, it is even advocated by Dutty Throy, been using uspl since my first ever flash (ive flashed dozens of times already). once you've mastered the procedure its the quickest method, if you find a ruu_signed.nbh file just rename it to BLACIMG.nbh and pair it with an ruu_blackstone wrapper. READ THE THREAD ON USPL. so far i've rarely encountered members posting problems they've encountered
i was considering uspl. but dont uspl last until reboot, so once you reboot your phone 6.5 will no longer run and will return to wm6.1. ill hav a look at the uspl cos at the moment im running spl 1.14 and it gets painfully slow at times. anything might b better than wat i got now
NO, thats not true, if you USPL it will flash it Temporary to rom that will allow you to flash the rom you want, once it has flash you will revert back to stock SPL, and keep 6.5, if you want to flash again you would have to USPL again before flashing another rom, the easiest way i find is to HSPL your phone with 1.56 Olienx, then you never have to worry about keep loading USPL first, and the BEST AND SAFEST WAY TO FLASH IS BY SD CARD. MAKE SURE IT IS UNDER 2Gb, take the rom image, thats the Nbh file, and rename it from RUU**** to BLACIMG.Nbh and put that on memory card, then boot phone into bootloader, by turning phone off and hold volume down and power button, plug in usb lead to phone and computer, make sure u got 30% battery or more, make sure it says usb and not serial on the bottom of screen then push memory card in, and it will auto load, another menu will pop up saying "press Power Button to Flash".
let it flash untill it says Successful, then reboot phone up to screen calibration, then do hard reset.

he says he has 1.14.000 spl and in any case all wm 6.5 builds are 1.56 or 1.59. so firste he needs to upgrade to spl 1.54.0000 then use uspl or use hspl 1.56.olinex.
else he'll face greenscreen and touch problems..
ok, if your looking for assistance in flashing, use the dummies guide to flashing. It provides a step-by-step guide and explains the differences between USPL & HSPL. All assistance, downloads etc you will need can be found in that thread. Any further queries should be posted in that thread.
No need for another thread.

Another scream for help...

Hi,
I have my HD from march and being interested in WM6.5 and disappointed by HTC because they do not release an upgrade I decided to try some cooked roms.
I used USPL so that I can keep my original SPL.
I tried:
* Duttys WM6.5 Sense 2.1 Holy Grail
* Duttys WM6.5 Leo Holy Grail
* Topix HD
From the first boot I have noisy screen image with 4 colours or something .... but after entering in sleep mode and restore it recovers to normal "true color" until I reset the device. I can live with that but the real issue is that I cannot start my phone using the original radio neither with the latest versions I found for HTC HD. No error there, it simply stays off after I confirm that I want to enable the phone.
Also the device is hanging for very long time now and then and I have exactly the same problem/behaviour with all the above roms. I tried some fixes found in the forum but nothing works and I did not found anybody with the same weird behaviour.
I wand to recover my stock firmware but I found that even I brought mine from Romania it has a Czech S/N and HTC does not provide a stock ROM for this "v1.56.402 - Czech republic - not supported".
What can I do. do you guys know if I can get the original firmware from somewhere?
Thanks.
Obviously you havent bothered to read anything let alone the guidelines of starting new threads.
The answers are in the forum I suggest you take time to read and start by reading the forum guidelines and the sticky threads.
If you dont understand what you're doing then stick to a stock ROM until you do or you might brick your phone.
You say that you used uspl. Are you sure that it was successful as the symptoms you describe are typical when you have the incorrect spl for the rom you are using. After using uspl, what spl is showing in the bootloader screen?
Follow the steps in the Dummies Guide to Flashing and your problems should be sorted out.
If you still have further questions, post them in that thread as the mods will close this one as soon as they come across it (as explained by homer285)
you're ok as long as you can still go to bootloader mode, then go back to the uspl 2.5 guide here, FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS STEP BY STEP

and here

format your sd card using fat32 (full format) (if you are a frequent flasher I suggest you get a small capacity sd card – 1Gb - and devote this only for flashing)
rename the RUU_signed.nbh to BLACIMG.nbh and pair this with ROMUpdateUtility -(application file) OR BlackstoneRUUWrapper (whichever the ROM cook presents) copy these TWO files in your formatted sd card.
then using Digital Outcast's USPL GUI: look here

if you're using Vista see this to update your sync driver

flash the ROM.
I hope I make the above clear to you.
suggestion: Read the howtos!
If I was you I would do like this:
- flash hspl.
- flash latest radio from memorystick
- flash any 23xxx-rom from memstick (miri or phamQ can I recommend).
Cant understand why you are doing it the complicated way... there are ways to recover to original-spl if needed. This is the easyest way to flash 6.5 and it is almost fail-safe.
good luck!

dont add to the confusion, he is already using USPL, the SAFEST METHOD as stated by Dutty Throy, he even advocates this in all of his cooked ROMs
all he needs to do is to redo the steps again as i posted above.
Sorry for my panic post
Yes, after 8 hours of trying stuff I did not read post guide-lines but I searched all the internet and xda forums, tried all the dumb fixes for my weird behaviours without any success.
I am sure that my original rom it is not available and I call for help from people that have Czech S/N English version to extract the flash and the radio if it is no so complicated or if they have it as backup.
Actually I read every "flashing for dummies" posts and only when I thought I got everything I started to flash it.
I used the latest 2.5 USPL, the GUI one and also the command line from the cmd prompt so I saw all the output lines and there was no error at all. It is clear that the device was successfully flashed and I respected all the version requirements stated in description of the packages. The problem comes from some sort of incompatibility. The versions at boot is the right one.
The only wrong thing I did was after seeing USPL 2.5 coloured boot loader I go on with the tutorial which said to read on screen RUU instructions which said to connect with activesync and I did as they said and restart the device, cradle and continue flashing in which case the original SPL started and I got a flashing error on the desktop client but after restarting the device everything run normally with the stock firmware and I think I have a good understanding on how it work and I can say that that error does not hurt a bit.
I finally succeed, in the morning, to flash 6.1 vanilla topaz and almost everything works except the GPS module and I am investigating this issue.
It is clear that you cannot help me an my device issue related to WM6.5 roms are unique and I will investigate this on my own.
Sorry to everybody, again, for my wrong located post and have a nice day.
