Samsung Galaxy Tab calendar.apk - Xoom Themes and Apps

I was wondering if it was possible to get this caledar working on the Xoom, since it is a really nicely detailed app maybe even have it as a back up clendar alongside the stock calendar. I willing to help I have the sdk set up on my Mac and PC as well as eclipse. Just don't know where to start. I also have the apk if needed.

Yea, I agree. I'd really like to use the galaxy tab's calendar, but I think it uses files that are only on the galaxy tab w/ sansung's software. Otherwise, we'd probably have already seen it on other tabs...

Maybe you are right, but I just don't see why we could not run a 2.2 app on honeycomb. I mean how many time did I put apps from other phones on my Galaxy S including the mail.apk from the Tab. Maybe just changing a few things here and there in the manifest.xml.
Ill post the apk later to see if someone alot smarter then me can take a look at it. Or if someone could just point me in the right direction I'm willing to try myself.

Fennec (Firefox Mobile) Alpha

Hey, has anyone managed to find a file in .apk format of the recently released alpha? they only way you can get it from mozilla's site is in a .install file, which, because of our darling At&t, we cant do anything with...
Got apk from here

Thanks for the link
I know it is alpha, but what are the thoughts so far on it? I find it very slow. I hope they can get gear monkey incorporated on this

They proboably won't start optimizing the code until it goes beta. Alpha is more about just getting the feature set right and making sure everything works moderatly well.
More than likely they re-used as much code as possible from the desktop variant (to get it going) which is def. not optimized for a mobile device.
It looks promising to me. I like the way tabs are handled and add-ons will be really cool if they ever take off (I need fire gestures).
Thanks for the link, dang you AT&T .........
It runs like crap, and fc randomly, dont know why they even released this to the puplic,
I will say this about, its much more functional than the pre alpha I've been testing the past couple weeks, certainly not ready for day to day use, but its nice to see mozilla making progress

I know it's alpha, but as soon as I load it it freezes. They aren't kidding about alpha, maybe they should list it as nearly operable.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 (My phone is having and identity crisis, it boots to an i9000 screen then a Vibrant screen then loads the captivate rom lol)
It looks like it will be cool with the weave sync and all. Unfortunately I can't get it to run for more than a min without a force close.I did visit gmail and it wa formatted for an old flip type phone and just text...not for a smart phone like we are use to setting with an android browser.

I don't even get an FC. App just dies randomly. Otherwise, it looks really nice. I'm digging the interface. Once it gets stable, this will be my default browser

Update for Samsung Video Editor working?

Can u post the apk here? I would like to give it a try. I can't see it in my Samsung apps
Go to the "new" category, scroll down hit "more" should be there dated 18th May.
Otherwise I can try to use titanium to get the apk?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Its not there. I have been checking almost every 2 days since the release of galaxy s 2 ( I didn't know there is a video editor until I saw in galaxy s 2) I even posted on xda several times but nobody uploaded.
I am in Canada and tuning DARKY 9.5 maybe that's the reason I can't see.
I will appreciate so much if u upload it here.
Thanks
I used to have Video Editor a few months ago, but it had gone from my Samsung Apps list, as has the photo editor released at the same time. Did anyone get the apk of the Samsung photo editor too?
Garbled meaning induced by swype when posting from XDA app on SGS I9000.
I have photo editor and video editor. Can't upload them with xda app though and i don't have any multiupload account etc.
I would think these are for sgs1 only but not much use if it FC all the time.

Hopefully they'll be OK here on Froyo. It was someone else who was commenting that the latest version of Video Editor (that came out on 18th May) are the ones to FC. Hopefully the previous versions will be fine. If you get a chance to upload them when not on your phone, that'd be awesome.
If they really aren't working on Gingerbread, presumably Samsung will update them again soon.
Not figured out why some people have them and other's don't. Must be regional, but I used to have them in there, but they vanished... along with loads of other apps a couple of months back.
What is the Photo Editor like? Is it any good?
Mike
Video esitor has never workes on gingerbread and ive tried from jvk to present.
Photo app is very limited, better to use photoshop express app.

[Q] transparent program monitor

On my galaxy s2 i use several transparent widgets, including program monitor, was wondering if some one has thought about making some for the tab 7.7. Or is it possible to port the one from the gs2. Mainly program monitor and the stock digital clock. Cheers

Try grabbing the .apk files out of /system/app and copying them to your tab's /system/app. There's a pretty good chance that will just work (though you might need to reboot after pushing them to the tab). The stock digital clock should be DigitalClock.apk, not sure about the program monitor.
Tried but no success yet. file names are different. not sure if I can even get the old one working again. I'm using super manager, sometimes it asks if I want to use r/w, other times it doesn't ask at all. Think I need a better file manager with root

Need Media Hub APK from Verizon tab!!!! (GOT IT, THANKS)

Can anyone please provide the Media Hub APK from the Verizon 7.7 tab. This is what I have been looking for in order to buy digital movies. And if anyone one could please also suggest how to make it work with the international versions of the tab. I know that in the original tab the Media Hub came included in the T-Mobile and ATT branded tabs but once those tabs where flashed with an European rom (for phone capability) the app would no longer work. Would i only need to change the build.prop to fake it as a Verizon tab or would i need to do something else? Thank you much.
PS. Maybe if anyone can provide a copy of the Verizon's build.prop to go along with the Media Hub, hopefully this would make everything work well together. Thank you much.

[Q] KFHD App.

Hello. I was wondering if one of you could put your huge brains to work on making an apk run on KFHD7. The app is for a local news station in Portland, Oregon.
GooglePlay link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwyLDEsImNvbS5rcHR2LmFuZHJvaWQud2VhdGhlciJd
It just doesn't work on the KFHD7 yet. Or at least I'm not able to download it from the market. I've tried to find it online, but the links all take me to the market or the 1 or 2 apk's I find don't run. I hope that this app just needs a few tweaks. But I am part noob, so what do I know.
There's no way that I would expect someone to do this. If it's a pain in the rear, then I would forget about it. If the process can be explained easily, then maybe someone could tell me how to do it. If not then, oh well.
Many thanks for even taking the time to read this.
If you have it installed on another android device, go to your Data/app folder and get the .apk yourself.

I tried that too. It didn't work. That's why I figured it would need some tweaks to get it to work on Kindle. It's pretty cool app for what it is.
