[Q] where to find limited edition back covers?

Hi all,
Interested in purchased a NS limited Edition back cover for my NS.
Wouldn't mind if it is a knock-off, as long as it is a high quality product.
Looked on ebay and found nothing.
Anyone got any links that I can purchase one?

Hmm, not sure about an official source for these. But my phone actually came with the limited edition (with the little Android logos all over it, right?).
I didn't really like it, and was able to buy a warranty-replacement original cover. I have one of the Android covers right now sitting on my desk that I wouldn't mind getting rid of. PM me if you want to try and work something out.
That actually makes me wonder if Samsung's warranty support stocks any of the Android logo covers. You guys might try calling in and giving that a shot too. Make sure to tell them you want a warranty replacement for your current cover though, otherwise they'll just tell you they have none for sale and to get lost :]
EDIT: PM cheerfully received! I'm assuming this means that my Android logo back cover will, very shortly, no longer be available.

I actually have one as well. I work in a T-Mobile store and had a Google employee come activate service and was able to persuade him to trade his back cover.

The Black One

Anyone with a black HTC One yet?
Which bumper/case are you planning on getting with it?
I think I'm going for the black, need to play with it in the store to be 100% sure. I figure I need to wait until April for them in the UK, however, the thing looks f*cking NINJA. Like a stealth fighter dropping bombs all over the cheap and tacky tat that was the Android mobile phone selection.
If you have a Black One, let me know what your experiences with it have been like, build quality, videos, scratching, prints or marks, etc.

Sorry but any high end bumper for example galaxy phone will always be of higher quality than you could fine for the one.
To me it is pointless to buy a one for build quality if you plan to put any kind lf casing on it.

Maybe, maybe not, I bought a case for the One X, never ended up using it, like to have one and not need one than need one and not have one...

If the black one is available at launch, can I take my unopened one as soon as it is delivered and exchange it for a black one?
Oh, and is there any branding at all on the headphones? I keep thinking I see glimpses of something, but am trying to figure out if these are going to be worth using vs going to buy some new klipsh headphones (mine broke two weeks ago)

Will the Htc one support HD voice like the EVO 4g Lte does? Hopefully sprint will deploy that feature soon.

Yes this would be possible, however you can only exchange once and only have 14 days to do so.

they don't go on sale until friday morning. it won't hurt to ask thursday. worse they will say is no.

edit: for some reason this thread didn't update me via email which is why i was delyaed. i updated the thread to notify me via email. sorry for the delay on the answers.

I don't understand why the black ones are on back order EVERYWHERE. Not a single place has them, so is it just not being shipped out by HTC, or are they going to come into stock "coincidentally" on the 15th day after the silver one so it can't be exchanged? Ugggg, I just want a stealth black One!

Yep and don't try to get a black one by destroying the silver either, they will only replace color for color.

I called my local sprint Monday and was put on the pre order list for a black one. Also called today and they told me that they should be there by noon tomorrow.

If you really pre-ordered the black one and pick it up tomorrow then you're one lucky man. I called up several local sprint stores and none of they have the black one in stock. They have no clue when they will get it.

Whats the likelihood of this phone getting more then one update of android?
I'm currently a evo 3d owner and I've been been eyeing this phone and the GS4.
I'm leaning more towards the s4 as the S2 came out a little after the 3d and is STIll getting upgrades, while
the ICS update for the 3d took forever and has basically been abandoned afterwards. Will this HTC phone suffer the same fate?
I'm not wealthy enough to buy every new phone that comes out and I'd prefer one with lasting power.

The phones are there 30min ago UPS dropped off. I was able to sneak a peak in back and there aren't any black one's. Playbook says variants won't be available yet and are rolling out based on success of silver sales. I was also able to see Speck cases in white and Otterbox commuter, defender in purple and black. Oh screensavers also ( cover full face ).

The thing this phone has going for it that the EVO 3d didn't is uniformity on all carriers. HTC is only releasing one flagship so that will be there only focus on updates and Sprint is usually the first carrier to update there phones stateside. Even thought Samsung obviously has more money to through at these things I have faith in HTC and this beautiful phone.

Hate to break it to you, but if you want guaranteed updates: GET A NEXUS. My EVO LTE is doing just fine on Jelly Bean. My S3 is doing just fine on Jelly Bean. My LGOG is also doing just fine on Jelly Bean.

You are right. Sprint has a great track record and I also hope we stay close to the OEMs and get those updates as soon as they are announced at Google I/O but seriously Jelly Bean FLIES on this device already. You're not going to miss anything. Sense 5 is gorgeous

YAND - Yet Another Nexus Dock

Hey - I wanted to show off my latest 3D printed dock, this time for the nexus 10.
I borrowed the design ideas from what I saw posed on here and tried to build off of it.
I think the one unique thing about it is that it is made of glazed ceramic instead of that usual plastic. It is very study and has some nice heft, while keeping 3D printing costs down.
I designed it to be able to keep the nexus docked while in my folio case, since I will snatch it off the stand before heading out the door. However, this will dock with or without the case. (FYI this is my case: http://www.roocase.com/Slim-Fit-Veg...--Black-rooCASE/cat-p/c1000036/p10518806.html)
It is designed for the standard POGO magnetic cable.
I just wanted to get thoughts on this if anyone would be interested in one or what questions you might have about it.

Agree. Unfortunate really...and surprising. I've had 3 of these in my family and none had any issues whatsoever. They are all in use and still running pretty darn good! I've compared to newer tablets but this really is still a great tablet. Not sure why this forum is so dead.

Hey! Sorry for the delay, I've been pretty busy with work.
I finally got around to setting up the storefront through Shapeways, and have a link to the stand you can buy directly from there:

I only selected options for the ceramic material, since plastics would have sent the price over $100.
Let me know what you guys think and if anyone really wants to be a baller and get it made in plastic, I'll add in those options, so just let me know.
I have a just one other tip: I sanded the plastic housing of the POGO cable down just a bit with some sand paper and put a piece of electrical tape on it so when I wedge it in, it stays put on docking and undocking.

So I got my Note 4 today. I love it, but im note sure if am being picky or if my issue is warranted.
Opened Note, and not sure if im the only one. But I have a crack at top of phone. Real small but noticeable if you look at top.
Should I have them send a new one?

online orders are only exchangeable through mail

Send it back asap. If you ever tried to sell it used, you would have to cut the value significantly

I sent my Wife's white Note 4 back (they let us keep it till the new arrives) The glass had a swirl in it that happens in the manufacturing process. I expect perfection from a new phone.

I don't see the crack either, just the antenna bands. Are you sure it's not just a piece of the sticky plastic cover that it comes with around the edges of the phone?

Don't see it either. Are you talking about that Squarish thing in between the antenna bands? If so that is normal, both my uncle and my note have them.

Yes those. The note 3 sucks at macro, but its a crack.
