[Q] Screen Shot Apps

Have we gotten any good app that we could take screenshot of our screen but phone for it not 2 be rooted and in any app we using. Cause all we have is jst take screenshot of our home screen :/ i want 2 take screenshots of some messages and other stuff like that like iphone has. If so plz let me know n provide us the link would appreciate it, really looking forward for an app like this

Personally I use screenshot by gik soft, using time delay you can switch back to what screen you are wanting capture by long pressing the home button before it does the snap shot, also the timer is adjustable. App is in the market

no problem... not to be rude but had you mentioned not being rooted in your OP, I wouldn't have suggested the app.

I'm new here and I just rooted my phone, but before I did, I was successful at using screenshot with the shake phone feature. Give it a try!

Oh, did they change it back? I know it worked before it got updated, and then it said it needed root.
Hadn't used it again until I just rooted the other day.

gingerbread CRT animation for standby with Froyo

is there any way we can get that sweet screen off animation with fro-yo?

Give it time...the Nexus S dump has just happened so people are probably going through the code. It should happen.

It's both a shutdown animation and for when you lock your phone.
This is one thing that I really want bad. I normally don't give in to animations and haven't found any others that I like. But that one is just awesome.

if it is that means it is hiding somewhere in the framework or it might be some sort if crazy .bin that would take a dev to hack out of the dump s going around.

Adventure Time App - Need some testing

I published an Adventure Time app to the Market recently and a couple of Epic users have reported that it doesn't work for them. I have a hunch about what might be wrong and I changed a few things and need some of you guys to test things out for me before I make an official update.
Below is the link to the apk. Will someone install it and check to see if Finn (the first character) plays sound when you press on him? The other characters shouldn't work, if my hunch is right.

So, just to be clear. You click on a character and then receive a black screen each time?

the board next to the characters on the first screen.. one says stickers that takes me to the next screen (not avail.).. but when I press sounds, screen goes black.. also I uninstalled and then deleted the .apk... dl'd the link again, installed second time, same result.

this is cool I downloaded it form the market, would be sweet if you could choose the character then choose the phrase but i haven't experienced any problems

The needing to use trackball to navigate is due to this being from the SDK ROM as that doesn't have touchscreen support only mouse and keyboard. I wonder if pulling those relevant files from gingerbread would help.

hmm maybe i havent tried did r2doesinc ever get touchscreen working on his honeycomb port?

If I remember correctly yes...it was very slow though. I definately showed someone hc on my phone and touchscreen worked.... ill tweet him

Thanks for your work Joel, but how do you get past the screen after the lockscreen? I clicked on ok and the app drawer button and couldn't get the welcome screen to go away. Any luck?

I've found that in order for it to register "touches" with the trackpad, you need to move your finger a tiny bit while it's pressed down

damn that nexus one guy is on a roll.. got Wifi working now! x)

This rom is so clean!
And as others have said, press trackball down and slide your thumb a little after pressing down..it will go to next screen for you.
I went to the email setup screen, but since keyboard does not work i had to go back CM7.
Def going to be following this Joel.

Download, put on EMMC storage, shake your phone violently, run it under room-temperature water for 20 seconds, and finally let it sit for 12-16 hours. Then it should be on your phone, but make sure to only use it on full moons and Labor Day.

I would make a copy of the old one just in case then just replace it and set permissions before ya replace it

Just nandroid and push it with adb or rootexplorer and reboot. You shouldn't need to set any permissions.

None of the extra settings are showing up though there are check boxes where they should be that do nothing. I also tried to go into the clock.smali to hide the clock but this version is totally different than the one in 4.06 or 4.08 that I've used before and couldn't find the line to edit.
