update about custom rom

Yes it is still compatible with SuperOneClick with rageagainstthecage exploit.
1. There is no reason to lose functionality, all of this ROM is fully compatible, its not ported, all of this are the same phone
2. Yes, I never had lost connection error yet, I did have it with WellCom ROM and CSL ROM. I noticed this occur faster if the phone is warm after prolong use.
3. Its slightly better but I don't use camera much
4. Never had such problem
No, I don't do any backup. I don't care much about warranty.
I get about 3-4 days with this ROM. Bear in mind I don't use it often, only few minutes of WiFi in the morning and about 30-45 minutes of video per day, and only on GSM network, no 3G, GPRS and such plus I only at 384MHz most of the time unless I play games because its fast enough, controlled via SetCPU.
Also I found a site that develops custom ROM. The site is:
h t t p ://android4u.x10.mx/2011/06/custom-rom-for-wellcomm-a99spice-mi410-or-huawei-x6-or-variants/
I haven't tried it yet, I have no idea how to install them, using Titanium backup or clockwork backup perhaps? I still new to Android so I need instructions how to use it

Yup already tried it, battery life vastly improved. One thing is don't use any battery saving programs like JuiceDefender, its crap and done nothing to save the battery. Its much MUCH better to use setCPU and clock it down, minimum 122MHz clock when screen off, 384MHz for day-to-day use and light gaming (Angry Bird and such) and full 1GHz when playing 3D games. At least now my battery could last two days from just one previously.
Still I'm hoping for someone to mod this ROM, maybe with newer Gingerbread kernel or something.

yes,copy it to sdcard

1. Download the software update.
2. Extract the ZIP file.
3. Copy the file firmware.nb0 to your SD card. Make sure it is placed in the root folder (not saved in a folder). Insert the SD card to your device.
4. Power off your device.
5. To enter bootloader mode, press and hold volume up + down + power buttons until you see the image of the Android logo.
6. Press ‘Home’ key to show the update utility. Use the volume buttons to select the option “Download nb0 from SD card”.
7. Press ‘back arrow’ to confirm.
Upgrade will start. You can see the progress of the update while you wait. Your device is now updated to its latest software.

Cherry Mobile has updated its ROM to 2.2.2, battery life is way better than WellCom 2.2.2. Its been 2 days and it still ave 70% left, with some WiFi and movie watching now and then. Since I'm new I can't post link here but check out cherrymobile website. Installation instruction is included as well.
EDIT: Oh man I don't see the first post first.

Hi nX3NTY...can this Cherry version be Rooted with Super Once click as like the CSL?
Seek you help to clarify some stuffs as compared to CSL
1. Do we lose any functionality like the hdmi output display
2. does the Cherry ROM solve issues with CSL such as constant " data connection fail" or the erratic screen responsiveness
3. dark camera images
4. Unable to install some apps error from Market.
Lastly...would u have the CSL ROM just in case we need to send back for warranty claims?
Thanks in advance

All ROMs are unusable in my Milestone

Hi guys, I really need some help. Every ROM I install gets this weird display problem. It changes the screen to like 4-bit color, and sometimes just blue, and sometimes red. I tried almost all ROMs i can get my hands on, and they all do the same.
I'm really new at this and here are the steps I have taken to root my phone and install the ROMs:
I followed this guide to install GOT in my milestone. I purchased my Milestone online, so I wasn't sure it's origin. It says EMEA in my About Phone page, so I went with the G.O.T RETAIL EUROPE (RTEU) version. I was stuck in one of the steps in the recovery mode where I have to apply the update.zip to get into OpenRecovery. It greeted me with the an error message. I did some googling and found out it might have something to do with the vulnerable recovery. So i downloaded it and flashed my phone. Somehow, that worked. I have used the G.O.T thing for about a day and decided to install the ROMs. First, I deleted the G.O.T Openrecovery file from the sd card and copy the ANDROIDIANI files into sd card. I also did the wipe dvlivk/data/cache before applying the ROM. And the clock speed is in default.
What did I do wrong?? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

may I suggest you to flash stock rom.. from the following link

hope this will help
Thanks for the respond. I forgot teo mention that the 2.2.1 G.O.T SBF that I flashed with does not have this problem. But it presents in all the different ROMs that i have tried. This is so weird. Anyone have any idea of what might cause this problem?
I'm sorry to bring up this post, but I can barely use my phone because of this problem. I desperately need help with this. My english is not very good. Can someone please provide the correct words to describe my problem. So i can do some proper google search and hopefully, it will come up with something.
if by spf you are not having this problem, true?
then, can you give us an example of one rom you used that creat this problem?
I tried the Froyo Mod, Cyanogen Mod, Cronos Mod, MIUI mod and HoboMod. They all have the same problem. =(
I still can't a solution to my problem yet. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
So just to be sure... it runs fine on a stock rom right?
Most roms when they install they are overclocked.
Did you try setting the clock back to 550mhz after installing one of these roms?
Also, maybe one of the new leaks will work for you.
that's weird, sorry but I can't help
Really weird. You can try to do all again. Put the original SBF file and the using ANDROIANI openrecovery put a Ho!no nandroid or other system with a nandroid archives.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to try that now.
I'm trying to get the original sbf from this page. http://and-developers.com/sbf:milestone
The thing is that I live in the US and I got mine from Newegg.com. Which one should i download??
EDIT: What is the difference between service and non service?
Never have that problem. Maybe should flash back to stock to see if hardware problem.
It works fine with the stock ROM and the GOT SBF. And with anything else, I will get that stupid screen. =( This is so weird. I have flashed back to stock ROM. And now, how do I install HO!NO!? I can't seem to get into the Open Recovery with the Stock ROM. Any help please??
EDIT: When every time I install a new ROM, I don't get that problem until like after 10 minutes when I installed a bunch of apps. Could it be the apps that I installed that caused that problem??? But it's the same apps that i run in the GOT SBF.
which apps are you applying?
try adding by group, or left out any game (can be a problem).
Are the apps ready for your phone? perhaps some app is for other phone and works bad in MM.
Yo mention that applying the ROM works UNTIL applying apps, so it is very possible that some app is not for your hardware or need some special feature from display.

Did the OP try this...it seems like the most likely explanation.
Your phone could be very bad at overclocking. My first milestone was, but it didnt experience these exact symptoms.
Try flashing a rom and downclocking it to around stock (550 or 600).
Your phone could be fine until it heats up due to the 3g/wifi being used. Combine this with the added heat of upped vsels €nd you have general weirdness.

I have this exact same problem - when I used the stock rom on my hong kong milestone and overclocked modestly (800 52vsel) I was fine. As soon as I installed my first rom (in my case Shadowmod 2.5 via update.zip from AOR 3.3) I had this problem. It happens most often when the keyboard is open.
In additon to the screen yellow/red colour problem it will also just go blank, while the touch buttons stay lit. For either problem, simply turning the screen off and on again using the power button clears it, so it is more annoying than a show stopper.
Now I am using the APAC jan 25 leak and still have the issue. I only used an sbf to install the vulnerable recovery, and have used nandroid/updates to install everything else (never used the GOT thing). SBFs are annoying for me as I have a mac.
Anyway, I plan to recover my stock 2.1 nandroid and see if the problem is still there. Too bad, I love the battery life of the 2.2 roms, and the apps2sd native as well.

Wow I thought I was the only one with this problem. I have been testing with different kernels and ROMs. Well, basically every ROM posted on this forum, and the new and old kernels. I have also tried the leaked 2.2.1 sbf as well as the offical 2.2.1 release SBF(UK and EU version). Played with different clock speeds. They all have the same issue. The only thing that doesn't have that issue are the original 2.1-update1 and the GOT sbf. I'm using GOT sbf so I could use app2sd, but the battery life is absolutely horrible.

Didn't work for me. Now on Cherry Magnum HD Update 3. Smooth and very responsive. Everything works!
Stay off from CSL Spice 2.3.4 FB0-318D-0-5012-A03
I own a spice Mi-410. The A03 update seems to have greatly improved battery life (just over 3 days with limited calls, occasional fruit ninja, and data always on in 2G mode)
I started suffering from wake up lag issues on the official spice Gingerbread update FB0-318D-0-5012-A03 all of a sudden. An additional problem is that bluetooth support is very limited to receiving files on the stock Spice GB rom.
Since I had a good experience with the stock Cherry Magnum GB ROM A01 version (except for the lower battery life), I tried the more recent version (update 3) which is also an A03 release. I feel this is the best stock GB ROM currently for the Spice Mi-410. Of course removing some unnecessary bloatware also helps. For example I really do not see the need for nero sync. Also restored back the splash image and bootup animation/sounds from the Spice ROM. Having no issues for the last few weeks.

WellcoM A99's Gingerbread ROM is the most stable one (latest also) available, it's based on 3.18E build
ZERO software bug I've found so far... (assuming touch screen axis inversion & weak GPS signal are hardware problems)

IIRC I used SUT to flash that ROM
Sorry for the confusing statements. The A03 update is pretty good, but I had three issues with it.
1. Limited bluetooth support (try sending files from your phone with bluetooth). Have to use a third party app to deal with this problem.
2. GPS is quite poor. Takes a long time to get a lock.
3. Camera color balance does not work well.
4. Missing Android Gingerbread keyboard. In my opinion touchpal keyboard though better than the Froyo keyboard is not as good as the GB keyboard.
The A01 update which I tried caused issues with the wakeup lag but atleast had a working GPS and proper color balance.
For the reasons listed above I prefer the Cherry MagnumHD FB0-318D-0-5019-A03 ROM to the Spice FB0-318D-0-5012-A03 ROM.

Not sure what you mean by weak GPS signal and touch screen axis inversion. I get a GPS lock (outdoors) within 30s most of the time and within 60s all the time, with AGPS.

The vanilla offline GPS can take as much as 10-15minutes before it gets a GPS lock and this I mean outdoors. This is especially true if the GPS is offline for sometime as it has to download the ephemeris data again. For more information you can read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPS_signals.
Since Ideos X6 variants all use the Quacomm Snapdragon 8255 SoC there should be no difference in the performance of the system compared to say the HTC Desire HD or Desire-S. Any issues (and I have not found any GPS issues with the Desire-S which I tested for two weeks and neither found any with the Spice Mi-410) is likely to be firmware related. I did have GPS issues with the Spice Mi-410 GB A03 firmware which was very stable otherwise.
So likely a firmware issue.
You can also try the GPS Test app from the android market https://market.android.com/details?id=com.chartcross.gpstest&hl=en

MI410 Cancer with CHerry A03
Hi,
I have upgraded to Cherry Magnum HD A01, and it was all fine.
Upgraded to A03 (update 3), Battery Life has increased, and Touch felt as good, all was great till last week. Thats when issues started.
Problems:
1) Very slow response on trying to unlock screen
2) Very slow performance
3) Lag in ringtone (As if there are scratches while running a CD)
4) Call answers after 5 seconds
5) ....... Overall runs as if its struggling to survive with Cancer.
I Tried:
1) Cleared Cache (Helped for an hour)
2) Factory Rest (Helped for a day)
3) Reinstalled Firmware Removed Google Account running with new Google Account (Helping so far, aint sure when it start stuggling with Cancer again)
4)Tried to flash with Spice CSL A03 (dint work)
Any help in this regards will help many ambitious impatient users of MI410 like me who rushed to flash by re branding.

DEVELOPMENT STOPPED[ROM][mod] THE VISION GINGERBREAD ROM for THRILL overclocked

development stopped
Selling phone
FOR TESTING AS I DO NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT PHONE SENT TO ME YET
Based on 03D gingerbread. Heavily themed with a stock like look... just does not have a stock LG look.
This is not my first rom. I have modded and/or ported roms for the x10 and the motorola bravo. I am slowly getting used to lg files.
This rom is a diet of the original with some tweaks. Thanks to all the other developers in the thrill and o3d Roms. My base file is used gingerbread 21a with some parts of framework from THAIZ (used mainly for battery step xml. It is overclocked with THAIZ kernel and picked up on some modding tricks from several developers. You can use most gingerbread kernels from 03D with this rom. I will add miscellaneous files to be added later i.e. games, and apps.

Must have cwm recovery to install and already be on the gingerbread baseband or Gingerbread 03D rom from kdz. Tutorials for gingerbread are in the development section of 03d and thrill. This install does not erase data so you may have to manually erase in recovery menu depending on what rom you come from. PLEASE USE APN BACKUP AND RESTORE IN MARKET BEFORE INSTALLING
Just put in sdcard and install as zip in recovery.
Widgets and other files that can be installed by market are not included in rom.

I find it to be pretty much bs that GB is out yet to get official ATT update we have to wait for them to dumb down the system and add their bloat. I probably wont even update to it when it comes out i will just flash baseband and keep this euro open version, much nicer not being restricted.

Do you have the gingerbread baseband?
i'm wondering what tweaks need to be applied to the o3d rom to make it stable on our thrill.
I'm happy with King 3D except I have a wierd battery issue. When I reboot the device, i lose 30% of my battery and have to recharge. It seems like a software issue because on stock roms that issue doesn't happen.
King 3D is an 03D rom, so im thinking its something slightly different, perhaps you've cracked it.
I don't know what he did to tweak his Rom.. Probably a memory leak causing it

Hello guys,
I am having the same problem as mafiadesi: I HAVE NO PHONE OR MOBILE NETWORK CONNECTIVITY. AND ALSO, MY HOME SCREEN AND ALL THE SCREENS DOES NOT SHOW THE NOTIFICATION BAR.
"1. i have no network connection. im an AT&T customer, but im not getting any signal or data. when i go into the APN setting area, it says "reorganizing internal processes. please try again after a short while."
This is what I did, I restored my Thrill to the Android 2.2 stock, and then I used this method on
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343915
It worked fine to get to the stock android 2.2.
Then i used his step 23 to install the O3D ROM. It looked okay, but it had no mobile connectivity neither.
"23. Boot into CWM recovery and wipe data/factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, install zip from sdcard, choose zip from internal sdcard, select Rom. Reboot system and enjoy."
I used the GB_P920.zip to get to the O3D rom.
So, I repeated the method to go to new GBP925 using the same method, and like I said, the cellular modem or radio and the notification is not showing.
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I DID WRONG, AND WHERE I COULD FIND THIS BASEBAND, AND HOW TO INSTALL IT, IF YOU THINK THAT IT IS MISSING.
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Maybe try the kdz method first.

Hi
Thanks for the quick reply. I just tried the KDZ method of this site:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236
I used the V21A_00.kdz file ... and I had no error messages that I could noticed,... It finished the upgrade, and then the phone rebooted and stayed on a loop, with teh LG logo and the lg animation... I tried removing the battery and but now it is stuck on this loop boot.
I tried the recovery mode, (Vol - + Power button) and it goes to the Android recovery, and no longer the CWM recovery. The only option now is the to errase all data. But even that option is not available.. the Power button option to say Yes does not respond, so the only option is the pull the battery.
I am stuck.. please help me. any ideas?
I am thinking about going back to Stock 2.2, if i can do that.. i will try it now.

[ROM] [2.3.6] Blur Daily Driver Rom + Webtop [45.21.78] [Dec10]

This is based on the official 4.5.2A-51_OLL-17.8 firmware (its the 2.3.6 Bell rom) and will work with both INTL & AT&T users. Most of the Blur apps have been updated in this version with new looks and features. The Camera on this version is really good. Takes much better images then any of the other BlurCamera's I have tried. Also the gallery is a huge improvement over the older ones, looks much better and a lot faster. Plus as this is the Bell firmware it hasn't got all the AT&T menus in the settings.
The only changes I have made is removed the bundled Bell apps plus added a few tweaks that I see as a must as it fixes or addresses issues that people have with the default Atrix software.
If anyone wants to fork this and add extra features please feel free to do so. You do not need to ask me before hand. I am even willing to host the ROM if you have no where to store it. So if you feel you can improve upon the ROM please do.
Changes Made:
The ROM is SuperCharged.
Its Rooted and has Busybox installed.
Fully DeOdexed and zipaligned
No changes made to the theme so no more disappearing status bar.
1080p video recording and 5 finger multi touch.
Raindrop Fix
Beats Audio + XLound
Bravia HD Mobile
Jug6 Battery FIX + tweaks I have made. Gives the best battery performance of any Blur ROM when set to 1.0 GHz.
Improved AGPS
Adblocker
faux123 026 1.45 GHz kernel with a CPU app to under-clock it for even better battery life.
Using the CM7 APN list. AT&T users that are having data problems try this.
Due to this only having a few locales I have added MoreLocale 2 so you can select your language. I'm from the UK and its not one of the locales that is listed in the blur setup. It can be set to English UK, its just a bit of a pain setting up as you need to skip setup, select MoreLocale 2 and put in en GB and then run blur setup. But you only need to do this once. So its not a huge deal. This also goes for anyone else that haven't got their locale listed. Just skip the blur setup and select MoreLocale 2 and select your locale.
Root Uninstall is also added so you can easily remove system apps you don't want. Its also a pretty nice app to manage your normal installed apps.
You install this like you would with any other ROM. Make sure you have a fairly well charged phone before attempting flashing this. Because this also comes with the webtop it does take awhile to install.

I am from the UK. We haven't seen a 2.3.6 update. We could get 2.3.6 working with a custom kernel but I had problems with random reboots and calls getting cut off. It also had really bad battery life and over heated often. But this version is using the new bell kernel that was only released a few weeks ago here and I haven't had any of them issues since I have been using it.
The bell kernel is the first official kernel that will work for international users on 2.3.6
When I was on 2.3.6 my battery life was ****!! lol
Hopefully the kernel in this build is better then the one that came with the bell 2.3.6 update back in feb

Who in there right mind would think this comes with Webtop 3.0? Webtop 3.0 is just ICS in tablet mode. This is GB so would never be able to run Webtop 3.0. Also I give the version number of the Webtop in the OP. This is the latest webtop for GB.
Saying this is Webtop 2.3.6 means nothing. The latest Bell firmware that is 2.3.6 is running an older version of webtop. That version comes with Firefox 7.

i was having the same problem as you . try everything and still nothing ...i tried twice and nothin ..thats all
I think its likely that this is in fact NOT stock 2.3.6 but just a striped down version of the 2.3.6 Nottachtrix rom. i'm pretty sure that stock 236 doesn't have the toggle in the notification area. and in the first post for this rom it says based heavily on Notatchtrix.
I have tried EVERY rom, available for attrix in every flavor flashing multiple time to try to achieve stability and maximium hacability and performance. i think i'm sad to say i'm at the end of my tether as this place were all searching for just doesn't exist.
I regularly return to the only real rom to supply true stability and regular performance. 2.3.4 international ram fix.
On top of this not being a true stock rom. it's not perfect and i wish i could have some of the features of notachtrix but without the reboots and un-reliable behaviour.
I think the sun is most likely setting on our beloved Atrix. this may well not be the case for some US users. I wouldn't even mind being able to get hold of the TRUE stock SBF for my handset which i know just isnt available i have tried two orange sbfs that are in circulation and neither are quite right. 2.1.1 and 1.3 something.
We all need to appreciate that Nottachtrix is pretty much as good as it gets for us and if your after stability then use 234! simple.
i invite the opinion of others who consider me wrong!
Hi installed this rom got unlock screen hang so flashed 2.3.6 kernel works now but me fingerprint reader is not work can anyone help?

[Q] Problem with Thrill ROMS

Did a search through the LG Thrill threads, didn't find anything pertaining to this. However, if this has indeed been discussed, by all means delete this thread and link me to the other one.
My Thrill doesn't seem to like any ROMS I throw at it.
Mokee OS v1.0 - Causes an infinite boot loop. Doesn't reboot, just restarts the boot screen over and over. Seemingly, after installing this ROM, my 3D Camera in the back no longer works, even after restoring everything. Front camera works though.
Thrill Seeker 2.1 - Constantly reboots the LG pre-boot screen.
Lewa ROM Ported 1.0 - Same as Mokee OS v.1.0.
Thriller v1.1.0 - The only ROM that gets me to my home screen, however when the Media Reader activates, it reboots.
AcidHazardROM 4 - Reboots after the boot screen, right when it seems it is going to show the home screen.
CyanogenMod 7.2+ v1.4 Pudding Edition - Reboots after the LG Pre-Boot screen.
I had no problems changing ROMs on my Motorola Droid 1, HTC Droid Eris and HTC Evo 4G. Even had no issues installing ROMs for my friends on their various phones. Just seems I can't get the Thrill to cooperate. :/
I'm leery of installing P920 O3D ROMs and I know, they are the same phones, but it is just a quirk of mine.
Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Stock ROM (Obviously.)
CWMR 5.8.1.5 Touch.
All ROMs were applied after a data/dalvik/cache clearing.
Rooted.
Android 2.3.5.
If you guys needs any more information, feel free to ask.
I just want to be able to change out ROMs, the stock ROM is ridiculously slow, even though it's on a dualcore. :/
P.s. I'm not giving up on the Thrill, loving this phone.

I know the 3D and HDMI doesn't work. But upon installing Mokee, it caused the camera to just not work at all. I can't take pictures in 2D or 3D mode. If I go through the 3D Camera App, Camera App or 3D video app, it doesn't work. I can see what the camera see, however upon taking a picture, camera app FC's and then reboots the phone.
I always do a Factory Data/Dalvik/Cache and User Data reset.
You said in your post that Thriller is the ONLY ROM that boots into the OS, but FC/Crashes when the media scanner starts. That right there alone tells me you're running from a base of the V10D/V10K. Your kernel is Froyo 2.2.2, and you're loading ROMs on top of that which require a Gingerbread 2.3.X base, this is why you cannot complete a boot.
Before you flash ANY custom ROM, ensure you're following the detailed directions for that ROM explicitly to the T. I had trouble too when I was flashing around between versions. I ended up flashing my phone almost 20 times in 72 hours.
Here's a helpful tip: Between flashing different ROMs, be sure to flash the base stock ROM for whatever custom ROM you're doing.
E.G. these are the recommended base ROM/radio
AcidHazard Kitchen 4: Base stock ROM will be V21A or V21D (depending on the radio baseband you want), or V20P if you have problems with wifi or cellular service
Thriller: V10D (this is the US AT&T Stock Froyo ROM)
Mokee: V20P (this is the US AT&T Stock Gingerbread ROM)
CyanogenMod: V20P or V21A/D
From the P920 Optimus 3D forums, Prometheus Project v1.4: V21E
=====
TL;DR: Always check which baseband they run on, and make sure that you flash a FRESH copy of a STOCK ROM that carries that baseband (this is easy the ROMs are listed by the baseband), root, install recovery, wipe, install your Custom ROM.
If you skip ANY of these steps, you WILL run into problems, no questions. Flashing back to STOCK wipes EVERYTHING that the last Custom ROM did to your phone (see note #1), so make sure you do this EVERY TIME. It'll make your life a LOT easier.
Note #1: There are tweaks that Thrill custom ROMs make to /boot and a couple other places that another custom ROM may not overwrite automatically, so you end up blending a lot of little tweaks that don't play well together and can cause weird issues. Your boot issues are because you're loading into the OS from /boot which is loading your Froyo 2.2 kernel, and then trying to load into the / and /system with the wrong kernel version, causing you to go into boot loop.
thriller rom not working
i have an lg thrill 4g and i intalled the thriller rom and now i cant get service. i cant get into call seeting and i cant get into apns and networks. help please?
@cynagen +1 i think you are right about him running froyo radio...however it has been my experience that you are better running the baseband from the stock gingerbread from your region and carrier and flashing any custom rom that is gingerbread and just make sure the kernel version is right for you. Do this by checking phone settings when you load stock ginger and look at kernel to see if it ends with a + or not.
then use custom kernels based on that knowledge. I know that is not the conventional wisdom but hsa been my experience on two different at&t worldwide phones. A dev for my other phone the atrix 4g came up with a universel kernel that worked on all basebands and roms of the same system. Also if you format system between rom flashes and full wipe you shouldnt need to flash stock between....should save flashaholics a little time lol

Yes, you're 100 percent right. If he's going to be sticking with AT&T, then he's better off going with V20P and using something like the AcidHazard Kitchen 4 with the Beast or stock kernels since the baseband has all the radio programming that's needed to maintain a connection with AT&T. I WILL advise that if you're unlocking your phone for T-Mo or world, DO NOT continue to use V20P as you will be severely limited in speed and functionality, you will want to flash in V21A/D in order to make it match it's new "worldphone" status, but you will NEED to install a kernel built on that baseband or a baseband-independent kernel (see V21 baseband/kernels). Stateside primarily, hardly any roaming, V20P will suit you fine.
Also, fun note, any of the ROMs running V21x are okay to use any other V21x baseband, the V20 kernels and V10 kernels appear to be locked to match, this is why AcidHazard is built on V21D but recommends using the V21A baseband, for greater US carrier compatibility.
@Cynagen & Bdadd34
I am on v20p as well as Gingerbread.

So yeah, that part checks out.
As for changing carriers, I won't be. Sprint screwed me over big time and Verizon did too. T-Mobile is spotty at best.
So, I'm not on V10D/V10K or FroYo.

Alright, follow my directions, and while Bdadd34 is correct, doing all wipes SHOULD prevent bugs, it's been my experience that it has not prevented bugs, hence why I recommended the long way when you're going from ROM to ROM.
If you've already got a freshly flashed, rooted, recovery-installed V20P, copy your new ROM to internal memory, wipe data/cache/dalvik/system (YES SYSTEM), and then use Recovery to perform a full nandroid restore of the ROM you wish to go with. If you're going to AcidHazard, build it, and then flash the ROM first, then reboot and flash the Beast kernel if you're going to overclock, otherwise use stock V20P. All other ROMs come with prebuilt/tweaked kernels for whatever baseband they were built for, and you won't need to flash anything else.
I hope this all helps, and if all else fails, go the complete long route again... Stock V20P, Root, Recovery, wipe, Custom ROM.
@spinks420: Find out what version of Android you're running, 2.2 or 2.3, and what is your baseband version (software version V##x), this will help us figure out what you're working with so we can advise you better, or just follow these same instructions here, the entire 1 hour process.
@ anyone having problems and want help.. Download getril from google play and upload screen shot if possible. It will help tell us what you are really running as all settings show froyo baseband..

Thriller is a froyo rom. If you upgraded to gingerbread this rom wont work. We need info on your true baseband. download getril from go play if your not sure and post a screen shot like the one in my previous post.
Haha I'm have the 20p base and running Prometheus rom. Getril doesn't recognize it.
But haven't had any issues with signal or others

Promethius uses any GB radio, it's kernel is V21E so it'll take any GB radio V20P to V21E. V20 based ROMs will have problems with a newer V21 baseband.
I'm using V21E baseband, and I get fantastic service with T-Mobile minus the random disconnect causing the ROM to flip out and take forever to reconnect data (it still shows HSPA, but transmits from my phone seem to go ignored until I cycle the data), and because I take the lightrail (electric train like San Diego's trollies but on the ground), I have the electrical noise of the train plus the overpasses that the train goes under dropping my connection if I don't have something already running. Resyncs to towers takes a bit, but that's normal for T-Mo out here (I had them back when they launched "3G" (really 2.5G GPRS EDGE) and had the same problem).
My RIL doesn't match.
Could that be the reason why my phone is being retarded?
Which RIL should I flash?
I don't see a P925 RIL.
Or should I do it manually through CWMR? (Mind you I have only ever flashed whole ROM's, never just flashed a single component of a ROM. Like an alternative kernel, etc. etc.)
@cmarriner you should be OK. That is my set up and it work great for me on att. If you want to match you have to LG flash v21e kdz I don't think you want to install different ril.

Dropped calls.
Scratchy calls.
Both of these issues is when I have full bars and HSPA+ is connected. :\

I read your first post again...have you tried re installing recovery. I won't use touch because if you have any problems and have to remove back of phone to pull battery or sdcard you can accidentilly touch things you shouldn't. Also double touches can screw you if your not care. I would use rom man and flash O3D recovery... worth a shot...also you shouldn't be getting H+ when on a v21e rom should be just H ?

The H+ icon blinks green when connected so I figured it was HSPA+. Under "Mobile NEtwork Type" in the Status menu it says "HSPA". So yeah. I'm not too sure how to look into it further. :/
