A shared uid isn't a ui look but this does have a new ui. I don't even have the phone to be honest. But I can describe it to you so imagine this all the metro gone no more of that crazy looking launcher.

OK, since I'm in the process of trying something out might as well check your update.zip. Might pick up something
BTW, optimus M hardware is the same as optimus one(p500) right?

Wipe or No Wipe?
- When coming from stock ROM/a different custom ROM, use the Wipe version
- When coming from an earlier version of my ROM, use the No Wipe ROM
The No Wipe version DOES wipe your /system/ folder, so you'll need to repush the apps you pushed into /system/apps/ in there after doing a No Wipe install!

Sorry!I have a problem because i can‘ t download nothing! Can you help me?
What do you mean you can't download nothing?
Can't you download from MegaUpload, can't your phone download, what's the problem?
If you cannot download anything after flashing my ROM then you should go into Recovery, do a Wipe Data/Factory Reset and reinstall the ROM. It should fix your problem.

Sorry!i can‘t download from the market!I have the first baseband.Maybe i would update the baseband?
You should first check your date/time. Sometimes with flashing, it goes to the future, making it impossible to download from the market. If this is the problem, set your date/time to the correct date/time and you're fine!
If that is not the problem, go into CWM, Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Wipe Dalvik, reinstall the ROM and it should be fixed.
I'm not sure if updating the baseband will fix this problem.

Thank you for answer and i will try !Compliment for the rom!bye
Added v1.2! Currently in testing, but it should work as all what I did was replace the kernel and WiFi module
EDIT: v1.2.1 online!
Going to test it out, it's looking nice. Thank you for this!
Added two update.zip's, flashable through CWM.
One containing the LG stock apps and widgets, and one containing the Google stock apps and widgets.
EDIT: v1.3 is online! Different bootanimation, fixed Force Close on setting alarm bug and Google Launcher instead of LG Launcher.
Screenshot?
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA Premium App
Scratch that, I'll post a screenshot as soon as I can!
Loop after boot animation
all wipe
Which version were you using? I just uploaded v1.3.1, that should work properly.
Try a Wipe Data/Factory Reset + install of v1.3.1, and you should be fine.
not working
It installs okey, boot ok after i get "Sorry! The application Calendar Storage(process com.android.providers.calendar) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again" The application Fonts.......the application google services framework...
Have wiped and installed 2 times without any change....
//ekkis
I'll re-add the download links for v1.3!
good work man !
I successfully flashed 1.2.1 Wiped; with a full wipe and it booted up without problem. However when I tried to flash both the LG and Goggle apps zipped via CWM they both were aborted - some error with script and Android 1.5 and need to edify. What can be done to correct? Thanks.

Want to use custom ROM, newb

Hi,
It's probably many people who have been asking the same thing, sorry if it's already a thread out there.
But I'm totally new to this. I now want to root my phone and use a custom ROM and maybe a other kernal too, whatever kernal is for
Which ROM is the best out there? And I have no idea of how to root my phone and install a custom ROM, maybe some advices?
Thanks.
/Sorry if I don't have the best english
If you want to root your phone and you're on Froyo (Android 2.2) use this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953182
If you're on Gingerbread (Android 2.3) , you can use this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327599
You can flash custom ROMs by installing them in ClockworkMod Recovery mode. This is a special menu which allows you to flash custom ROMs and kernels and make backups of your rom.
You can enter recovery mode with either:
1. ROM Manager, select reboot into recovery.
2. While phone is on, press power button and then select reboot and then recovery. (Basically the same as 1)
3. While phone is off, boot with holding the power button and volume down button until the second lg logo with the blueish background appears.
Flashing: (In recovery mode)
1. Make a backup (Titanium Backup or NANDroid)
2. Wipe Everything
Wipe data/factory reset (this won't erase your root)
Wipe cache
Go to advanced and wipe Dalvik cache.
Wipe Battery Stats
3. Go to install zip from sdcard. (you have to put the rom you wish to install on the sd card)
4. Again install zip from sdcard (install Google apps, can be found in the CyanogenMod wiki) (same way as installing rom)
5. (optional) install zip from sd card and flash kernel. (same way as installing rom)
6. Done, reboot phone.
The best rom is just a matter of taste actually. It just depends on what you want, some prefer CyanogenMod and others just want an improved stock rom. So all you gotta do is read and make up your own mind. Also when you flash a kernel you have to make sure that the kernel in question is compatible with your rom, because there are many kernels in the dev section and they all work either with stock-based ROMs (Horsepower Kernel) or custom ROMs (Ironkernel, Vadonkas KANG kernel).
My opinion is to use the combination:
Temaseks CM KANG:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421425
Vadonkas KANG kernel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427646
Hope this helped, if there are still some questions, just ask! Or PM me

Nvm, I misread it It was in the recovery mode.
I got a problem now, I have installed the custom RM and kernel, but the problem now is that I can't connect the phone to the computer via USB to put files in my phone. Do I need some new drivers or something?
Edit: When I try to use the camera it just wsays that I need to use my SD card. It might be something else that wrong, just with the SD card?
Edit2: it seems that I can only get acces to the SD card from the computer by the recovery mode?
try to shut down the device and boot instead of rebooting(if you did that) some sdcards have problems with a reboot and do not get recognized.

Are u talking about the internal sd or a external sd? For use the internal sd (the data partition of the device's memory) there is an option in the settings. I don't remember now I'm using a Miui based rom. For the usb connection u must have the driver of the device, u can take it in the lg web site

I actually meant the internal, cuz I don't have a external card. Where can I find that setting? It's so many settings so I get confuesed when I try to look for other settings All program that seems to need the internal SD card seems to say it, the camera, ROM manager and other apps.
And I have a sall problem with spotify, it won't start at all. Is this normal with this ROM?
i have a question, if lets say i flashed cyanogen mod 7.1 stable on my lg optimus 2x and i want to flash, for example temasek kang cyanogen mod, can i just download the .zip files and copy it over to the phone and flash. is there such thing as downgrading in android like in symbian, im also a newbie, also another question, the rom files or .zip in clockworkmod on internal storage, can they be deleted after flashing the files on the phone

1. Yep, just copy it to your phone, boot into recovery and install zip from sd card.
2. Downgrading is possible, make sure to wipe.
3. After flashing you can safely remove the zip file from your phone
thx for the quick reply, could you elaborate more on the part of downgrading, does that mean i cant just simply flash another rom
also on the first page you recommended CM7.2 Temasek KANG rom and Vadonkas KANG kernel, how do you install that, do i just flash the cm 7.2 temasek kang rom, or do i have to flash the kernel, and which one comes first
also what is the kernel for, as i noticed when i flashed cyanogen mod 7.1 stable, the kernel was automatically changed

Downgrading
You flash the rom you want over the one you have right now, just wipe everything. (you can always restore it later with a backup) For example when you have a CM KANG an you want to go back to a nightly just flash it over the KANG.
First you flash the KANG rom and then you flash the kernel. If you do it the other way around you erase the kernel flash because as you know every rom comes with a standard kernel. (More information, look at my first post in this thread)
The main goal of flashing a custom kernel is increasing the performance and have the ability to overclock and to undervolt. The standard kernel which comes with CM stable doesn't allow you to overclock your CPU to for example 1.5Ghz. Standard kernel only clocks to 1Ghz.
Simple question: If I root my phone when it's on "stock' (i.e. as it comes out the box when it turns up soon), and then upgrade to the LG Official latest release via their website.. will I have to root the phone again?

1:
Google "SuperOneClick" - http://shortfuse.org/?page_id=2.
Set your phone to "development mode", or whatever it is in english, under your program settings and plug it into your PC with the program running.
It should be as simple as clicking "Root" with the newest version of the program.
2:
Download "Rom Manager" from the market and install "ClockWorkMod" through that program.
3 - preparation:
- Turn off your phone and hold down the "Volume Down" button + the "Power" button untill you see the LG logo shift into, what resembles a loading screen.
- In ClockWorkMod, you navigate up and down with the volume buttons and the power button selects an option.
- Go to "Backup and Restore" and back up your system. This is a so-called Nandroid backup.
- plug your P990 into your PC and copy that backup file. It's most likely on your external SD-Card.
_____________________________________________
- Find a suitable ROM, I use this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421425
At the bottom of the fist post, you can find download links.
The Google Apps: http://www.mediafire.com/temasek#5xfvkc2nlfk5v
You need that file to install the marketplace. It'll be called something in the vein of "gapps-gb-20111214-237-signed".
The ROM itself: http://www.mediafire.com/temasek#3edh9d36u710w
The file will have a name in the vein of "cm7kang-O2x-P204-38"
_____________________________________________
4:
Now that you have your ROM/Google Apps (GAAPS) and a backup file, you're ready to get started.
Copy the ROM and GAAPS ZIP files to your SD-card. Then turn it off and enter ClockWorkMod by way of "Volume Down/Power" buttons.
5:
Back in ClockWorkMod, navigate to "install zip from sdcard" ---> "choose zip from sdcard/choose zip from internal sd card" and make sure you can find your files before proceeding.
6:
- Assuming everything is ok, choose "wipe data/factory reset" in the main menu of ClockWorkMod.
-Once done, choose "install zip from sdcard" and install your ROM.
-repeat the process for the Google Apps file.
Once done, choose "wipe cache partition" in the main menu along with "wipe dalvik cache" under the "advanced" option.
After that, choose to turn off the phone and turn it on to boot your new ROM for the first time.
Prepare to troubleshoot a bunch, you're probably used to a bunch of stuff that are'nt to be taken for granted
Feel free to ask me questions and criticism is welcome, considering this is just a short guide; and my rooting experiences started this saturday.

You install the same way that you installed Zeus . After you wipe data , cache -> install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> select the Surpressed7.5 rom and install
Read the thread and see which zips you need, afaik you need the supressed 7 and a couple updates
just read the threads, everything is explained on how to do it..
you'r question if supressed is better than zeus? you can't really compare them actually. zeus is highly tweaked en supressed is minor tweaked and more themed.
just try and choose the one that feels best for you.

supressed ain't better than ZEUS. now if you are still interested to flash, do it like this:
reboot recovery, wipe data/factory reset -> install .zip form sd card, choose Supressed_v7.0 -> confirm and install it. Now u can install all the updates without leaving recovery (i.e., Supressed_v 7.2, 7.3 and 7.5). please note, to install the xperia events (given in 2nd post), u NEED to reboot atleast once. i recommend you to go thought the Setup before installing the event, else u might lose the launcher

Maybe u should explain which scripts are in the zip, describe how scripts work, AND provide info on where u got them and give credit to them cuz a lot of those script's I've seen before and I dont think u wrote them yourself.. Did you?
And BTW give people info on for what kind of Rom's are those script's working

You should be careful, cuz those script's are not properly configured "out of the box".. For example: script '"99projectbuttertopdroid", is not configured to the stock Sony home launcher, but it's looking for a cm trebuchet.. So I think those script's should be used with care and have to be modified from rom to rom and kernel to kernel .. BTW, OP should still give credit to the original author's of every script

Deodexed, debloated stok rom with supersu, busybox, xposed framework and updated minimal google apps.
Flash this rom with custom TWRP recovery FOR LOLLIPOP -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/grand-prime/development/custom-recovery-twrp-2-8-7-0for-lollipop-t3190351
Make sure you follow all the steps correctly:

2. boot into TWRP recovery
3. do a complete wipe (system, data, cache, internal storage)
4. first flash only G530fz_502_deodex_xposed.zip
5. when finished on the same screen WIPE CACHE
6. reboot to system and wait for rom to boot up, IT WILL LAST 10 MINUTES maybe more, it is normal for deodexed roms
7. once the language menu shows up you can reboot to recovery again
8. this time DO NOT wipe just flash xposed-v65-sdk21-arm-arter97-V5-generic[1].zip
9. DO NOT wipe cache and reboot to system
10. this time system boots faster but apps will be updated
11. when you complete setup first update SU binary in superuser app
12. install XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4[1].apk and reboot
13. open Xposed app it should say framework is connected
14. optionally make a backup and enjoy your phone

If you are wondering what modules work, I attached wanam module for lollipop.
For status bar modding use http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.bocharov.xposed.fsbi, xstana isn't fully compatible with stock samsung lollipop roms.

I don't think it will work, I will try to make rom for G530H later.
I just need these files from g530h running stock 5.0.2 rom and TWRP recovery:
/cache/recovery/last_log
and all files from these folders:
/system/app
/system/priv-app
/system/framework
also version number of stock rom that the phone is running or link to download from sammobile / samsung-updates sites
These files must be pulled with adb or file manager, I need files from rom that is in use, if I extract files from stock odin tar it might not work.
If someone can send me these files I will make you deodexed rom. :good:

Thanks I will make rom for g530h during the weekend.
weather widget is missing. Is it suposed? I'm looking in system.rar that you uploaded but still didn't find him
Unfortunately nothing works for me
Probably it is caused by encrypted storage in my case but flashing TWRP via Odin leads to boot into black screen with coloured vertical strips but nothing else....flashing back PhilZ CWM works but using it for installation of this ROM doesn't work (as expected)...
So, what do you suggest? Flashing back Stock ROM (v4.4.4) and trying it again or is there anyone else with the same issues but with unencrypted phone?
Thx for your help,
x.

I don't have any knowledge of encryption in android, try searching xda forums for more advice, but I think such features were designed to be used with stock system and recovery. Also samsung KNOX is disabled in this rom but I am not sure if it affects device encryption in any way.
