[Q] App update - can you force it ? - Kyocera Zio M6000

I have been having a lot of apps closing and crashing when I use them lately. I tried to re download a few and saw there were updates. How can I get my phone to check for app updates when I want it to ? I know it once in a while will tell you that there are updates available for a few apps and give you the option to download them.... but can I force the phone to check and then do it ??
Thanx in advance

When you open the market it should check for updates. You should then.be able to go into the my apps page and update.

Is there a site where you can download the apps via PC then push (SDK) them to your phone? Or do you have to download via phone first?

I am looking for a site to actually download the apk on the computer and not the phone. So far all the site I see only give you the option to download via phone using bar code or link.
Next question, Once an app is installed on device, are you able to pull the apk from the phone to your computer for backup?

Updates

I have another question... Srry
Ever since I am using cm 5+ I am having problems with the google apps updating. I know I have to install the google addon with every cm update but I can never update the google apps after that. Is that normal? It always says update unsuccessful...
Other apps also seem to have troubles updating, but that could be for different reasons.
So once more is it normal for eg gmail not to update?
Thx

Go to settings > applications > manage applications > Market and clear the data. As a last resort you can also choose Uninstall Updates.

How to Link installed apps with Market?

Hello friends!
I updated my cell from froyo to Gingerbread as then restored all my apps with help of Titanium backup pro. Problem is that now all my apps some how got unlinked with the Market and when I go to my apps in Market, none of my apps are shown in the list. Because of this I dont come to know if there are any updates available for any of my installed apps.
Is there any way to link them back with Market without installing them all over again.
Thankyou.

Try going to settings>application>manage applications and clearing data/cache or whatever it lets you clear of the market app.
Go to titanium backup>options> more>market doctor.. Since you are on pro titanium backup you can use market doctor..

@EPHRAIM033 Does that mean I can link a app downloaded via .apk to the market? And, yes, the app is also in the market..Can I do it or no?
this worked only once.. later again those apps lost the links i think.. they are not appearing in 'my apps' on market!!!!!!!!!

what worked for me was to re download the app from the market on wifi. it will error out with the message already installed then will show up as installed in google play.
An easy way of pushing the apps to the phone is to log onto googleplay web site reselect the app and select install.

Of course you can. But if the linked app is a cracked paid one(ore a free app from an other market eg getjar wich is free there) the market will show it in my apps but it won't let you update it... If the app is avaiable for free in the market and you donwloaded it else where there are no problems with linking and updating it..(and no i dont have illegal apps i know it cause the "gold apps" from getjar are not updatable after linking them to the market, it'll show you a message that you didn't purchase the app..)

Insufficient space on the decice

I recently started getting this error when trying to dl apps from market "Error while downloading x. There is insufficient space on the device. Anyone knows how to fix this and/or make the maximum cache size bigger?
Inb4 I tried clearing cache and dalvik.

This is a known issue for some users with the new market.
Go to settings, applications, manage applications, all, market and select uninstall updates if possible.
If not, download the apk for an.older market from the apps forum, uninstall your updated market with TB and then install the older version.
Also, there are many threads with this info...try searching next time. And if you are one of those who say you are too busy to read or search....why should anyone else not be too busy to help you?
