Hello,
I created an alternative for a dialer app - it's myDialer.
What's myDialer??
myDialer is a replacement for dialer app. You can quickly search for contacts by entering part of the name/number. The application is one of the fastest of its kind.
What is not (and will not be) myDialer?
myDialer is not an application for managing contacts. It is not a call history management application (even though it has a few features to this).
Features:
Show call history with contact
Swipe left/right on contact (an option to choose action after swipe - eg. text, call, show details etc)
Swipe on keyboard to hide it
Three themes (for now - i'm working on customize look)
landscape mode
Option to choose sorting method (favorite first, last called first, etc.)
Option to choose an action after click on contact

Only got FC on my rooted Droid 1.
I already got one bug report and i'll fix it maybe it is the same issue as you have... but you can send me a logcat with bug
It has a slight lag before launching it. Maybe the keep in memory function needs more work.

Of course i can add more languages but i need keyboard layout for each language and ascii codes of the letters (capital and lowercase - if there are). For me it would be easiest to add new language support if i get set of ascii codes and associated key number for example polish:
U+0105: 2
U+0119: 3
U+0144: 6
etc. (if i get those it will be really easy to add more languages )

great and fast dialer. i mean fast by opening it after tapping the app such opening the stock dialer. other 3rd party app i've used has a slight delay and it annoys me.
would love if got tabs to go through between contacts and call logs and favourites instead of having to tap the menu(hardware) button.

I think that birthdays should be displayed starting today, not since the beginning of the year (I think you understand what I mean). If you could do other languages including Polish - I might translate it, only I need a file containing text to be translated.

Download the attached file (english one). Open it with a text editor (if you have any good text editor like PSPad, NotePad++, … you can rename the file as xxx.xml to have xml syntax extension). In the file, texts to translate are between xml tag like:
<data name="reminderContent" xml:space="preserve">
<value>{0} is {1} today.</value>
<comment>{name} is {age} today</comment>
</data>
Here you translate the value string “{0} is {1} today.” Be care to not remove anything between {}, because it’s a variable (you can look comment to help understand the sentence)

ok here is the way to use all themes without a error, the golden tip comes from our bro KennySavage, big thx . thats work...
at first, u must have the themes in the right folder on sdcard
extrect theme pack to sdcard/LEWA/theme/Theme . that works 100% .. now u can import
if u wanna use a new theme do this !
go into airplain mode ( not network of overall ) and now use ur theme with the theme manager, after this take ur airplain mode off ... yes thats work, the error comes the app wanna touch into network and there is the error

I've explained in my reply that the v2.0 development will bring lots of changes, so it's better to delay the translation work until my main dev work is almost done. Just wait for maybe two weeks. I will contact with you later

great app only bug i see so far is that it keeps telling me that there is a update available
So I decided to try using RapDialer as my main phone dialer for a day and gave it first position on my tiles on my home screen. After doing this, the one major problem (which is mentioned in RapDialer's description) is that it doesn't have call history or SMS history. For me, that's a big dealbreaker since that's one of the main ways I use to call/SMS people that I last talked to.
I did like a lot about the app and I know that's the OS not giving the app the ability to access those things but nevertheless, they are important. Since I don't have a need for 3 tiles on my tile screen (Phone, Messaging, and RapDialer), RapDialer is going to have to go. If you do find a way, I'll gladly consider using it again.

I use RapDialer mainly for the quick dialing feature. easy to call and SMS friends that are not always in my recent list.
Until MS comes up with a better way to handle notifications, I'm stuck with 3 tiles on my homescreen.
It's a very nice app, clean and quick. Thank you!
I was wondering what improvements are you guys working on for v2? The app could use an even faster start up if possible? Also, it would be nice if you guys also do a homebrew version and use the new root tool from heathcliff to access the call history. Only then I could completely replace the default dailer ;D

Isn't this the same main concept as 7Dialer has?
There's a huge need for this quick dialing concept, yet i didn't really like the implementation of it.
I will try this one and if i like it and intend to use it further i could do german translations if you like.
I have already once translated a full set of mango system files.

Yes that's a little bug i've fixed in v1.8. If you are free please help me to check if the bug is actually fixed, since the bug only affects a few users.
On the other hand, you can disable the "auto check for update" in "Settings>Behaviors". Then the bug won't bother you.

I understand your feeling. At present what i can do is to make RapDialer the best under limitation for dialing and group text. After this part is well done, maybe there will be chances in WP update to make RapDialer more completed as we want. So i'm also building a foundation for the future

I don't typically bother the forum with these types of questions and would just flash away, but since this involves going back to GB Bootloader.............
I very much need my GPS, is that functional and accurate in this build?
Just couldn't wait as I really wanted those toggles. Wow, Sir, you have outdone yourself. Fast, smooth, GPS spot on. Everytime you come out with something new I think it can't get better, you do it again. In 30 minutes I put this through everything I could think of, it took it and never slowed down.

So far the only thing I have found is that camera. Wow, it is bad, I can't get it to focus to save my life.
Two days of running working very well with the following exceptions.
I have had three random reboots? I couldn't find anything that was the same between the three. I initially had trouble with Swype. I had to uninstall and reinstall the current beta twice. Now working just fine. My battery stats are all screwed up so will try and run it down/full charge and see if we can't get that in order cuz getting some weird readings on the battery.
Other than that all is great so far.
Great rom so far. Makes me want to use my vibrant again. May start some themes for this when i get done with finals and have some time.

Runs very smooth. Nothing out of the usual like reboots for current overclocked gingerbread roms out right now. I love the status bar options and the xerxes settings. Everything works for me except for the disable lockscreen option. I still get a lockscreen. Besides that its a pretty good start.
If I'm not mistaken doesn't the Bullet kernel have a bug where if battery power is below 30% it could random reboot?
Also:
Have we ever figured out how to get GPS to work on any other kernel than Bullet?

I started to port the PhoneCandy theme by dully79 to the vibrant but hadnt found a rom I wanted to port it to till this one. Here are some screenshots. If anyone is interested ill finish it and upload.
