G2X 2.3.3 leaked, anyone got the O2X 2.3.3? - LG Optimus 2x

http://thisismynext.com/2011/05/01/t-mobile-g2x-gingerbread-update-review/
Anyone got the update for O2X?

Would love to see G2x gingerbread rom modified so it can be used on our O2x. Surprised it hasn't happened yet.

Still got a .32 kernel

That video still shows the 50% battery usage for the radio when standby.

I think it's coming tomorrow: http://goo.gl/ikydO

Think it might come today by the sounds of it

what the hell are the engineer of the lg doing??
They did promise an upgrade in april.

They promised 24h vip service aswell and failed me at that point, I was hoping LG put some effort in restoring there not so good name but to be honest im dissapointed and probably gonna sell my phone
Im still waiting for LG to call me like they promised.

It's dutch they asked LG when the update comes and if it's true that it comes this month
LG netherlands said:

It's true that LG is working hard to update the phone too android 2.3 but we are a bit careful too tell you a update date. The Optimus One will get gingerbread first and then in the summer the Optimus 2x Speed will follow
in the summer means when?
2.3 is not such a big deal. I am on 2.3.3 CM7 on my MT4G. I am waiting on the G2x.
2.4 will be a big deal, as I believe it is supposed to be set up for duel core processors, which neither 2.2 nor 2.3 are. There are smartphone coming out soon with 2.4 as OEM, but apparently not this one.
For LG and TMo to spend any time getting an OTA out with gingerbread would really be a waste of time and resources at this point.
Defenitely waiting for 2.4, can't wait to see what this beast can do when both cores are used the way they are ment to be used.

Nope 2.3 is already DualCore optimized. 2.2 only "supports" DualCores. I don't think that 2.4 will have huge changes in the thread manager, since it's already optimized in 2.3.
As far as I know, 2.4 will also have gpu-accelerated gui. Can anyone confirm?
No news on that too. But 2.2 is not fully optimized for dual cores yet.

Well no, but it does have dualcore support, even though it's not optimized for that.
Since it will be a phone version of honeycomb more or less i belive that is correct yes..

well, 2 weeks is a short time. Doesn't make too much of a diff I guess. Coz my last updated v10d SEA (south east asia) version has been rock-solid stable. No BSOD or reboots.. except for vignette very seldom the app was unresponsive but after that, it's fine again.
So for me GB no longer necessary. v10d really solved all my BSOD and reboots problems.

I am on a custom ROM right now...how can I get back on the original LG wagon? do I just flash to the new GB LG Rom and from then on I'll get LG updates?
Also, where do I get the 2.2 LG Rom that phone came with? Lost my backup that I made before flashing it.
Flash original stock ROM from here then you will able to use LG S/W Updater again.
i'm wondering if it's 2.3.3 like optimus one or straight to 2.3.4
It's confirmed as 2.3.4 by LG, and by first leaks.

if will not aarive on 15 september i swear that i will never buy an lg phone again. samsung is more friendly with their coustumers...

That's funny.
How do you even know it s going to be better than the current roms?
Or, another question: what do you expect it will bring new? Do you think it will make the phone a quad core monster with a 7 days battery life?
Don't think too much about Samsung. On their forum most of the people are complaining about battery drain and other bugs. No one is perfect.
Don't get me wrong, i also want to update my phone to the latest Android. But i realize that it s not going to be something spectacular, like the introduction of Flash in Froyo, so there' s no reason to make too much fuss out of it

Arcee still has us, man. He's got sk4 out now. I'm running gingerbread on a p925 at this moment.
Its a bit buggy and not all the 3d stuff is working just right... Eats battery like crazy so don't use it full time just yet.
The nightlies are going to start up soon, before long we'll be running gb whether lg (or Rogers/At&t) cares or not.

Cm7 is actually running pretty well and crazy fast on mine. No major battery issues here, but the front can is upside-down, no HDMI (which I've never actually used anyways) and no 3d. Other than that... awesome.

I was just looking in the O3D forums. Way more Mods going on over there then here. LG and at&t need to hurry up with the gb update.
With arcee's release 4 of cm7 on p925. Has anyone noticed echoing on the other callers phone with a fresh install? Nothing Modified...

Yes. Possible solution: turn down call volume. What I think is happening: the mic for noise cancellation is actually being used as a call mic. That plus the speaker being louder is causing the callers to hear themselves with a cell delay. Maybe.
Sent from my almost cm7 p925
Yea. Arcee, in my opinion has made the best rom for the Thrill. May still be buggy but its amazing. And I myself at least don't have any problems with battery life. And with ICS and CM9 on the way, things are only gonna get better.
I got the phonecall echo as well. CM7 SK3 had a dark green camera issue as well, waiting for the next version to try it again. Rdannar did some great work for us, and as sad as it is to lose him, we still have many excellent development cooking up new software for this model, and it's only going to get better, especially with ICS getting a lot of O3D experimentation. Don't look down, friends- look forward!

Did anyone else find the 3D camera to be a bit odd? I don't really use it but it just looked a little off to me.

No more hope?

I'm getting ready to dump this sob of a phone... I mean the battery sucks so bad, I cant go a full day without it dying on me and I hardly ever use it, I'll lock my phone and look at it like 10 min later, when no apps are even running and i'll be down quite a bit of battery (I've had to tone down usage A LOT coming from an Atrix 4g, I could go a couple days with some heavy use and not have to charge it, and now it seems like whenever I get the chance I have no choice but to throw this phone on a charger)
Besides the fact of a poor battery, I've always hated LG, they have crap for customer service and phone support, I figured something might change with this phone, but nope...
I was hoping for a GB update soon, but looks like those dreams are crushed after reading something on LG forums saying they probably won't release a GB update EVER! LG and ATT can go die...
Also the community for the thrill is relativity small and it seems like Dev's have very little to offer or gave up on this phone all together...
I figured I'm going to jump back on board with the Atrix 4G or 2... I'm undecided as of right now
So this is goodbye to everyone else who is in this community and noticed my little efforts in helping Peace

Well besides all the other reasons, did you try getting a different battery. I have no problem getting over a day's life of battery out my thrill with medium useage. The only thing that really kills it are the 3d games. Stock 2.2.2, rooted with about half of AT&ts bloat ware removed. I read somewhere (not sure where) about bad batteries shipped with a lot of these phones.
Yeah, the upgrade part and lack of support are downers, but overall this phone really is good. My uncle got the new Droid Razer and my phone out performed it on all the benchmark tests that we compared head to head.
At the very least, Rogers releasing GB is a sure sign ATTs GB has to be right around the corner.
Captivate (July 2010 release - updated to froyo 8 months later)
Infuse (May 2011 release - updated to gb 8 months later)
See the pattern......it's all at&!
Well I did that Rogers GB update... aside from the huge headache it took to get on my phone and all the crap apps from Rogers and what not...its a solid update. The battery is by far better I can tell you that for sure I'm happy and might just stay with this phone if it holds up tomorrow and on Tuesday...
Its so much smoother and my internet is blazing fast compared to froyo, for those who haven't tried this, I suggest you do so ASAP.

Optimus 2x is not worth getting cause the baseband it is born with is flawed.
I just started on a new school, 10 guys have the phone and they want me to "fix" they phone which i cannot.
Ofc i can flash another baseband but tbh it is not worth it.
Most of the time i have no signal and even through the changelog says it should be better at re-establish connection, but in reality it is not.
If you want a working phone never buy LG.
