I don't know if it works.. but if it works let me know! I want also buy a keyboard for my htc tattoo I hope it works..
but I think the problem is that the screen keyboard will be appear in the screen of you're tattoo, so it doesn't make any difference with the space you've got.. but I think it only makes you type faster..
let me know if i'm wrong
FX

The creater has started on this...I think it is working with BT mouse support...

I haven't BT Mouse. But i want to try. Anyone had tried it? That would be fun. We will have mini-PC. But sad that our Tattoo's don't have TV-Out. That would be awesome if that will be possible.

Nice it works!
I want to buy it!

Droid X Multi-Touch Keyboard

Hey everyone,
I just downloaded and installed the new multi-touch keyboard from the Droid X on my Captivate via ADB and it works perfectly so far.
Link here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=709519
I used the 2.1 Eclair version, obviously.
wow I like it better than the HTC one i was using, thanks!
Thank you for posting this. I am going to move it over to the apps section but leave a redirect for a week.
Worked great for me, been using a mix of HTC and Swype but this I was able to type more correctly and faster than with either of them.

I thought the same thing. I was using Swype, but this one is much faster and has the auto-correct.

Sorry, I wasn't sure where to put it. Thinking about it again, it makes sense for it to be in the apps section.

I'm using it now and I love it. Pretty basic, simple keyboard. Is there any other advantage to it other than being able to hold the caps key down though?

I'll check it out but I love swype so far.

Does it have arrow keys? To me that's pretty much a must-have without a trackball or dpad on our device. Thanks!

There are ways to get the arrows with the included keyboards. See the end of this article for more info: http://www.talkandroid.com/7386-galaxy-s-tips-and-tricks-works-captivate-vibrant-etc/
I am looking for HTC keyboard for captivate, can any one please provide the link to download it.
Works perfect thanks

hmm, wouldn't install for some reason.
Would not install
This would not install for me either. When I try it just says Parse Error, there is a problem parsing the package. I'm kinda new to android so I have no idea what this could mean. Anyone else having this problem?
just wish it had the same arrows as the keyboard that comes on the EVO
can anyone explain to me again what the benefit of this is over swype? or stock android keyboard?
Wow, great find!!! This keyboard is better than better keyboard!
Systoxity: You can type crazy fast on it. I couldn't get used to the Swype keyboard, and the android keyboard had me hitting the wrong keys all the time. This one is crazy accurate for me!

Yea, it said that for me too when I first downloaded it directly to the phone. So, I downloaded it to my computer, then moved it over to the sdcard via usb cable then ran it from file manager and it installed fine that way.

[THINK TANK] Porting Drivers from previous Bluez Bluetooth Stack to Vibrant?

I know CyanogenMOD is most likely going to be implementing this stack once its comes out on the Vibrant, but Im wondering how difficult it would be if we could port just the old bluez stack to current TouchWiz based Roms like bionix?
Is this is easily feasible? Has it been attempted? If anyone has any thoughts or ideas on this matter then lets fill up this tank!
2.2 will have everything you are asking for. Once we a leak or anything we can port we will have bluetooth hud.

Ive read in the i9000 forums that 2.2 will have bluetooth hid but bluez drivers will still be missing so apps like the wiimote controller will still not work. so im wondering how arduous of a task it would be to implement that specific stack.
In that, I'm not sure.. But I'm sure someone in here has an idea

Not sure, but I had asked this in a couple threads and no-one really had an answer. It does seem possible, but I think the Samsung BT drivers are not compatible with the bluez stack and that is why we still have no wiimote support.
The only option right now is cm7. Wiimote works great on my vibrant. Cm7 is still a little buggy, but very useable as a daily. The bugs right now aren't nearly as bad as the ones that have already been resolved in the day the cm7 vibrant developer has had his vibrant.
Try it out. Having wiimote support has been great, though I can only really see myself using it at home, when I'm near my wii with emulators.

Please, hear our claims! We really want to connect our wiimotes.
Is it so difficult to implement the bluetooth stack?

How to get the HRC keyboard

I want to get the HTC keyboard on my NS as I am used to it on my Desire HD, I have tried the same file and method as you do with the Nexus One but I always get a force close error when I try to select the new input method.
Am I doing something wrong or do i need a different file to install
http://postkreative.eu/HTC_IME_hi22.apk
i prefer stock keyboard over HTC_IME.. it doesnt have multi touch :\
either that or. http://www.appbrain.com/app/smart-keyboard-pro/net.cdeguet.smartkeyboardpro
Free: http://www.appbrain.com/app/smart-keyboard-trial/net.cdeguet.smartkeyboardtrial
Smart keyboard has a HTC_IME skin that looks like HTC but includes multitouch capabilities. Try it out.
That worked great thanxks
Do you have to buy smart keyboard? Is the free one only a trial?

Don't forget to READ the FAQ on the web site for usage instructions
I am using the HTC keyboard on my Nexus S and it works great but every now and again the text text that appears above the keys that shows you what you are typing does not come up so I have to kill the keyboard.
Anyone know a fix for this?

Possibly go find a version for it thats compatible for 2.3.X.
The link I sent you before is 2.2.X but it does work. Most people have moved onto better keyboards because HTC IME is missing the multitouch keyboard feature.
@Borky: Your post doesn't help. The OP already has the keyboard and your keyboard thread hasn't been updated since October. So I doubt its the newer version.
HTC Sense is also not running 2.3.X (yet!) so unless you can port the keyboard from the sense 2.3 leak.... no luck

No updates ? Found few videos with demonstration of the above keyboard with Sony Ericsson Android phone. But no details with the software used.
Have you not any contact with the retailer as to ask about the software.

That C871B BT KB worked perfectly with my friend's MOTO Droid X. Have absolutely no idea what software he used. I'll have to ask him and com back with the answer
So your friend had the exactly same keyboard ?
If you can confirm and tell the software used when you find out.
Thanks
I can't seem to get a hold of him for the time being, i'll talk to him later, probably.
Anyway, this might be useful:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.teksoftco.android.blueinput
This is what I use. It's an unlimited free trial, but has a limitation on the number of times "Space" and "Enter" keys can be pressed.
You could try this too until i contact my mate, see if it helps.
Cheers !
