[KERNEL][OC/UV][CM/] RAMMED kernel -- 64 megs more RAM!! Powered by unicorns!! - LG Optimus 2x

As Benee has included a hack like this in his kernel, I'm dropping this project.
So no new releases from my side on this kernel.
Benee's vorkKernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059910
So, I played around with the O2X kernel from cyanogenmod a little, and have squeezed a little more RAM out of it
Also, OMFG OVERCLOCKING!!!
I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE THIS MAY CAUSE TO YOUR HANDSET!
Downloads:
CM7: http://adf.ly/1WYb8 or http://ul.to/2j60nsaa
CM7 OC/UV: http://adf.ly/1WbrR or http://ul.to/75p0p77m
OC/UV versions are based on VorkKernel
Normal versions are based on the CM7 kernel
It will give you exactly 64Mb more RAM to play with raising the bar from 383Mb to 447 Mb.
Tech info:
So, at some point while LG was messing around the kernel they decided to up the amount of video RAM the GPU got. I simply turned it back down the the standard 64Mb for tegra 2, and changed the cmdline of the boot image.
If you're interested in the small code change I made, feel free to drop me a PM
So there you go, enjoy your extra RAM!

Only bad for me, now i have to release 2 roms at the same time

Took the words out of my mouth! xD
We will get AOSP working eventually, some armv6 devices will get CM9 and so we can just port it over ourselves.
There might be loads of patching though.
The most important first is working touchscreen , later everything should be easier to repair (libs from CM7 may work ) .
There are no problems with res ?
Maybe when i'll have a moment gonna flash for a second and have a look by myself

Being based on the eris port, and seeing how everything looks on that. Probably not. I guess there might be some resizing here an there. But I doubt it!
eris is 320x480, wildfire 240x320, then i think the rom need resizing

Not necessarily, AOSP supports multiple (if not all) resolutions, the elements of ICS will be sized according to the DPI set in the build.prop.
HTC's Sense UI on the other hand, is only created for one device at a time in mind.
Keiran
Yea that sure but I don't know how the building procces is , if there is building only LDPI or MDPI or HDPI or all in one . If so (the last) that would be great . Flashing right now that

[KERNEL][ICS]InfinityICE[TOUCHSCREEN]

Okay, for those of you who have the amtel touchscreen you are in luck!
You will never believe it, but I have managed to get the touchscreen working in pointer mode!
Features:
[v10] Same as my InfinityPLAY kernel, but this is for ICS and has a semi working touchscreen!
To use this, apply this ROM (flash it): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1355189
Then download this kernel(flash it after you applied the rom): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13729847/ics.zip
Don't think data or anything works, but it didn't with the CM7 kernel either (on ICS).
Thanks appreciated!
Who said we couldn't have ICS? It looks smooth enough to me!

Best Miui Kernel

I'm using Tiamat 1.1.4 for Cyanogenmod but can I use it for Miui also?

But before starting with Kernel v3, I'd suggest be comfortable with those commands and compile existing 2.6.35 kernels without modifications and later with modifications. In that way, you could get more in touch with Kernel development.

I fixed it by flashing Fluid Kernel. Then copy/paste from efs-backup to efs-folder and reboot.

This phone used to have 400-410 mb of ram in jellybean. It lost 15% of its ram overnight with kitkat. What happened? I mean it's not as if it did not have low enough ram but with these new kernels this phone must be often slowing to a crawl...
